Forming a connection between the western and African worlds, Anita Daulne offers us a completely different approach to singing. Breaking from tropical forest into ethnic blends of the city, Anita Daulne leeds her students deep within their natural being to discover new colors, lights, shades and feelings. As an artist for a number of years with zap mama, Anita Daulne has researched musical traditions throughout the world, learning and sharing with Taureg women, Dongons, Puelhs, Pygmies, Mangbetu, Zulus and others. Our first singing session with Anita will start at 4.30 and we will close the night with a delicious dinner at Pondok Pisang.Optional informal singing after dinner.(D) There will be 2.5h -3 hours of singing in the morning, with a small break in between. Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To find peace and renewal while going through a huge change in my life. Empty nest and the end of a 27 year marriage all at once. Susan
