It has been almost a year since I set off for Peru to begin my journey of working with Ayahuasca. Sorry for the late review, it took me a while to integrate! Haha I could not have asked for a better experience. The centre itself offered a sanctuary in the Amazon jungle. It was basic but I felt that was the beauty of it. I loved the feeling of being cut off from the world and enjoying the present moment in the middle of nature, listening to the sounds of the life living all around you in the rain forest, with no modern day distractions. From reading the reviews, I actually think that Gaia Tree may have moved to a different centre now, but I know that they have high standards even if the facilities are basic. We had everything we needed and the focus was on the healing. I thought the food was delicious. From my research the food in Ayahuasca retreats can be very limited and bland, but I genuinely enjoyed all the food provided at Gaia Tree and never felt like I was deprived. The facilitators, Marco and CeiCei, provided great knowledge, comfort, and a safe environment where I felt able to really connect to my power and get the most out of the experience and the medicine. I found they provided a fatherly and motherly energies respectively and I really felt looked after and safe. The rest of the staff were lovely and covered everything we needed. The Shamans Segundo and Belmira guided us through the ceremonies beautifully and I felt truly honoured to be there to encounter the magic of this ancestral practice that they invited me to join. I felt that the Shamans provided me with a truly healing experience that will stay in my heart forever. I feel really lucky to have met my jungle family. Our group connected so well and we remain friends to this day. I will always be grateful for the support they gave to me and the love that we shared. As someone who can experience social anxiety, before I arrived I was apprehensive about being in such close proximity to a group of strangers for the time I was there. I never expected to bond so well with everyone. I think it is such a unique experience and you are placed in a position where you are baring your soul and it allows true connection to take place very quickly. I love you all Jungle Fam! For anyone reading this who is considering booking their retreat, please know that the journey is not easy, but you are totally supported at Gaia Tree, and the medicine truly is healing. I know I will work with Ayahuasca again to continue my healing journey, and I would definitely return to Gaia Tree. Thank you and I love you!

So... No words describing our experience in gaia tree center... We live now in a new world, we have a new live... No more the older us... Everything was amazing there, real professionals Marco and Cei Cei! I think we had the best shamans. The food was marvellous... Thanks for all! We love you! 💖 💞 💖

It's interesting that Gaia Tree describes the facilitators not being on an ego-trip when i have been met with an uncomfortable vibe of hostility and ingenuity from Cei Cei in particular. It felt like i was in a cult, based on the things she was saying, dismissing what i was trying to tell her were my reasons for leaving. A condescending tone, staring me down from across the room as though to intimidate me. This was after i informed her i would leave due to personal reasons. I then later found out, that the facts were totally skewed by both facilitators, to something that had not been my experience at all. I would advise to choose very carefully whose hands you put your spiritual and emotional wellbeing into. And make sure you are 100% dedicated to the experience because i would hate for you to spend about $1100 and not get a dollar back for when you leave throughout (day 2 in my case) for whatever reason that may be. They speak of care, but i got the strong impression said care is really about the money for the hosts of this event (which proved to be true when i was told i wouldn't be able to be refunded not even a fraction which is all i asked for. Granted, that is their policy.), and selfserving ego-validation on behalf of the facilitators disguised as "love and care" that will turn on you the moment you change your mind. If you can ignore all that, you will likely find what you are looking for, healing, etc. The shamans were lovely with their heart in the right place.

I was looking for an Ayahausca retreat to receive plant medicine in a safe environment. Preferably with female shamans. When I signed up with Gaia Tree, they were advertising it to be with two female shamans. Upon arrival, it was a different facility than advertised (NBD), and a female and male shaman. Initially, I was a little apprehensive, but they were kind and made me feel safe. Even though 5 Aya ceremonies were made available, I only felt the need to partake in 3. This was just enough for me and received everything I needed on my second ceremony. Everyone is different and I think we all experience it uniquely. I made myself super ready for this before my arrival and hope no one goes into this, thinking it's a cure. It's a lot of hard work and I wouldn't call it "easy". It definitely helped me see things from a different perspective and will be forever grateful to; the retreat center, shamans, facilitators (thanks Marco & Cece!), and all the wonderful workers that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The food was fresh and very delicious. I never felt like I didn't receive enough food! I did partake in the optional add on of Kambo, and didn't feel must affects from it, other than getting extremely sick (which, is normal). I probably wouldn't do it again, if I had the chance. My only other issue was the showers were cold, and beds weren't exactly comfortable. But maybe I'm used to a more plush environment? Regardless, if I feel the need for another Aya retreat, I'll be back!!! This is the beginning of a new journey with a fresh perspective! Much Love & Gratitude!!!

CeCe and Sebastian were amazing as well as the Shamans who were able to guide us in ways that blew my mind! On my flight to Peru I was imagining all kinds of worst case scenarios about this place and to my surprise it was quite the opposite. If your life has lead you to seek the healing powers of Ayahuasca then I highly recommend you come to Gaia tree. The facilitators and the staff are truly there for you throughout the entire process and I cannot thank them enough for everything they did to help me with my journey.

1 life changing week in amazon rainforest with shamans. So intense, feels like Years of self work run in a week, blowing out my mind and expanding my consciousness. So overwhelmed. It was my first experience with Ayahuasca. I had some prejudices for a long time for using plants as medicine but this experience in this center completely changed my mind. I would say it wasn’t easy sometimes, I mean my process by itself, but I went through what I was need to went through. And I feel so greatful for that experience, things I discovered and healing I had on all possible levels, happy to share. Happy to find that depth. Now looking forward to explore myself more in every way I can. Now practical things. I communicated after retreat with some people who did ceremonies in another centers and heard some ridiculous stories from them, how stuff and facilitators sometimes do rude and disrespectfully actions disturbing process and really bothering participants and they paid much more money for retreats. So happy I went to the right place and had great experience. And most important had absolutely safe space and support. Great thx to shamans, they guided amazing ceremonies and created beautiful energy. Thx to facilitators also for holding the space and support. The center organized very well by people very experienced for more than 20 years working with plants medicine and with people, so organized on high level of understanding real needs, physical and psychological. The one is Omkar facilitated and participated the retreat I done with us, gave a lot of support to all of us, and many advices how to get more benefits from the process and integrate it after, he has a very deep understanding and many years working in shamanic world. He is very dedicated to spiritual pass and really committed to help people and make our planet better. Andy I met later and I could same things about him. He has a big passion about plant medicine work and big heart. So Center is absolutely not commercial place, it’s made to help people and make our planet better. The rest of the program in the center was amazing. We had one day and one night excursions to real jungles, I saw poisonous snakes, pink dolphins, anakonda, huge spiders, frogs, monkeys and some other exotic jungle dwellers. Accommodation and food are also great, stuff is very friendly. So highly recommend, everyone has to do it at least once in life.

I recently attended the Gaia Tree Center (April 22-29, 2019) and what an amazing and magical experience. It was Gaia Tree's first retreat at their new location along the Yanuyacu River (a little over an hours boat ride from Iquitos). Cei Cie and Marco, the two facilitators, were wonderful and made my first experience with ayahuasca truly memorable and magical. They are both kind and caring and fun to be around. They know what it means to be on a spiritual and healing journey and both have knowledge and wisdom about ayahuasca and what it can and cannot provide for you. Marco is fluent in Spanish and was very helpful being an interpreter with our curranderos (shamans), Segundo and Belmira, who are both amazing, wonderful, and loving people. This is not a 5 star retreat so please don't come with that expectation. It is comfortable and cozy and the food that is served is perfect for the ayahuasca experience. Another thing, you will not starve. Being in the jungle is amazing with all the bird and animal sounds. The frogs at night are incredible, so loud. We had 2 outings, one a jungle tour that was both fascinating and insightful. The other was a trip to a nearby Yagua Village and a welcoming ceremony that included face painting, ceremonial drink, dancing, and a chance to use a blow gun and shoot darts at a very special target. Don't forget to bring some soles ($) as the Yagua people have a small market place in their village to sell you their traditional jewelry and handicrafts. I would recommend going to Gaia Tree for your ayahuasca experience because of Cei Cei, Marco, Segundo and Belmira. 4 amazing and wonderful people that made my first ayahuasca experience something I'll never forget. One last thing, they limit the size of the group to a maximum of 12 people (there were 4 for my retreat) which made the retreat more personal and intimate. I can't wait to return.

I randomly booked my retreat at Gia Tree without doing much research, but now I think it really was the universe that lead me there. It was incredible, from the staff and the food to the shamans and the facilitators! Everyone who is a part of this place is so loving and caring. Everything you could ever want for your spiritual journey is here waiting for you. I have never felt so at home any where else because they really are the most genuinely kind hearted people I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know. The shamans are amazing guides and full of wisdom and experience. Marco and C.C., the facilitators became my soul family and are there to help you process 24/7! I couldn't imagine going through what I experienced any where else. This is the place you have been looking for! Thank you Gia Tree 💕

I don't know how other ayahuasca retreats are, since this was the only one I've ever been, but this one is great! The experience can be very hard, but also very worth it! With Cei Cei and Marco you are in good hands and the shamans with the whole staff are great! I'm already thinking of going back!

20+ years of a dark shadow that had followed my journey throughout life. I’ve numerously attempted to slay it with an array of professional doctors only to be confronted with mother Ayahausca. This beautiful journey within the heart of the Amazon rainforest was not easy. Every single day I was tested to see the truth beyond the fear and ego that kept me captive. Reborn, accepting and living life now (only after a few months of integration) and nothing will ever compare to this experience for the rest of my life on Earth. The facilitators, Marco and Cei Cei, showed nothing but unconditional love and patience with everyone on this retreat. Daily preparation and share sessions allowed everyone to learn and bond with each other. The shamans, Matilde and Sara, took their time to pass on their healings and wisdom to guide us into the light. The entire staff, from the home cooked local meals, security, smiles, love and most of all...an unforgettable experience! Authentic local village tour, alligators, dolphins, monkeys and the amazing nature was all part of the package. Thank you for making me a better human being! The journey doesn’t end here and I cannot wait to experience my next Gaia Tree retreat! This journey revolves around a simple question “Do you want to heal?”

I have drank Ayahuasca before, in Europa, which has always been a great experience but nothing compared to GaiaTree. First the location was inspiring - the sounds, the smells, the solitude. The shamans Matilda and Sahra were fabulous - in Europe I work as a nurse and I never met a doctor, not even the best ones to be so dedicated to healing; Sahra and Matilda listen to each one in the group and are there when you need them weather in the ceremony or during the day; during the ceremony they really guide you through the whole process with their amazing singing and shamanic gestures/ rituals; I don't have enough words to describe how amazing this two shipibo shamans are. Last but not least, our two facilitators, Cei Cei and Marco are as amazing as everything else at Gaia Tree - starting with the organizing of our daily life and finishing with the way they guide the group through the ceremonies, discussions, sharings, private conversations or just having fun, just to be with them/ around them is a wonderful experience! Thank you for existing and thank you for giving us the opportunity to be part of this amazing retreat called Gaia Tree! PS. Thank you to the locals who have done the cooking and cleaning and who kept us safe during our stay! You did a great job!

GaiaTree was not only a genuine Ayahuasca (Kambo & San Pedro) experience but a connection with life travellers that I will never forget. My Jungle Family will stay with me, in my heart and soul, wherever I go. Words cannot convey the impact Shamans Segundo and Belmira still hold on me. It’s been more than six months since my retreat and the facilitators Marco and Cei Cei still offer my Jungle Famz words of advice and support. Connection, wow! These go beyond the Retreat - advice and guidance in Iquitos and in life. Go anywhere else and you are missing out on the most genuinely soul inspiring experience of your lifetime. 8 days in the jungle and, despite coming from all parts of this earth, our Jungle Famz is still connecting physically (when we can) but most importantly in our hearts and souls. I will always love my Jungle Famz and GaiaTree brought us together. Oh! And I’m 66 years old and the rest of my Jungle Famz is 20s to early 40s. Hey, we are all on this beautiful journey together. Thank you GaiaTree for a genuine REAL experience.

Gaia Tree, what a loving place. After decades of yoga, self searching, soul searching and many years of psychotherapy in order to heal my past traumas deeply wounded, embedded in the depths of my being, I finally faced my fears and entered the world of the plant spirits. I walked out of the jungle full of love and gratitude for my new found brothers and sisters. Thank you facilitators Cei Cei and Marco! You are truly amazing. Thank you Shamans Sarah, Matilda, Clementina! Your love is indescribable. Your Icaros a healing marvel. Thank you all my new brothers and sisters that supported me through those fearful but wonderful journeys! You helped me when it was needed. Thank you Ayahuasca and Pancha Mama and Pancha Papa plant spirits! Thank you all for helping me get rid of so much pain and for accelerated my healing. This writing is the best I could do for what is too beautiful for words. With great respect and love! James 🌹🔥🐲🔥🌹

As everything else that’s been great in my life, the ayahuasca retreat was not the result of a long extensive research and mental debate, but a happening. It was on my trajectory, it was with people I trusted, it was meant to be. I did as little research as possible, tried to avoid the urge to ask too many questions about other people’s experiences and allow it be raw. And raw it was! I’ve never seen higher peaks and muddier lows into myself as I did this past week. I feel as if someone opened the hood of my soul and switched all the old cables, tightened all the lose screws and replaced the oil as well. The place is beautiful and peaceful, you drink the grandmother medicine plant and live in her house as well. Cei Cei, Marko and Omkar were always there with a loving heart, a strong shoulder and a wise word, middle of the night or crack of dawn. When I was at my most vulnerable, they provided me with a safe and nourishing environment to allow my healing. They are not there to baby anyone and I loved that about the space as well because part of owning up to my power was finding the strength to bring it out from myself, by myself, rain or sunshine. I respect and love you guys so much ❤️ Words will never be enough, they barely scratch the surface ❤️ This place should cost at least twice what it costs now. I’ve worked in business my whole life and I’ve always believed in value for money. I’ve never before been in an environment where the value is not correlated with the financial part and it comes strictly out of sheer inner abundance, out of pure love from a bunch of people that have dedicated their lives to the inner world and are now in such a strong overflow that the sharing happens naturally, with no alterior motive. What a lesson it’s been! What an inspiration you are! What a wild ride ❤️

I discovered Gaia Tree after extensive online research. I wanted to find a center that was reputable, safe, and had the most knowledgeable and trust-worthy guides and shamans. Gaia Tree more than surpassed my expectations. Everyone was very proficient in both knowledge and experience with Ayahuasca, and many other plant medicines. The staff was also extremely kind, and I felt very much at ease in the beautiful rain forest setting. It felt like a dream. I chose Ayahuasca to assist in my healing from cptsd, disordered eating, and scoliosis, The retreat was a significant milestone in my journey. The retreat itself was just the beginning, with the ceremonies exposing energies in my system that had been stuffed my entire life. The ceremonies were beautiful, as well as challenging. Exploring different realms of consciousness each night was an incredible experience. Its like the Ayahuasca unfolded all damaged layers of my energetic matrix so that I could see it play out in my present reality. Though at times chaotic, each layer reveals more of my authentic self, and I'm so grateful!!! My life has changed so much since! Thank you so much Gaia Tree, my guides and shamans, and to our group last June!!!

I waited 8 years to do Ayahuasca. From the first time, I heard about it, I knew it was something I wanted to do. For one reason or another it just didn't work out. I didn't want to force it either. In Nov. 30, 2018, I discovered I had a health concern occur. I realized how serious it was and started to finally dial down on finding a place of healing. Shortly after, I fell into Gaia Tree. I started to read the website and it just resonated with me; the length of time, the cost, the amount of ceremonies. It was exactly what I was looking for. I reached out to the administrator, Monika. We scheduled a phone call via WhatsApp and kept in communication via message & email. She was patient about my questions and concerns so once it all felt right intuitively, I pulled the trigger! Everything was booked within weeks. Gaia Tree keeps things simple. It's not a place where you will be pampered. It's to the point with a tremendous amount of love. The facilitators, Marco & Cei Cei are perfect at what they do. They are so genuine and you never feel like you are alone. The staff is incredible. Everyone has a place and does their part. There are two kids too that bring so much joy during the day. Just hearing them play brings peace. The Shamans rotate to minimize burn out. We were with mother & daughter, Matilde & Sara. They want to understand your intention, they listen and they customize the way they approach the medicine for your unique healing. I was terrified of Ayahuasca. I shared this with Matilde and Sara. They did everything they could to help me understand the love of Ayahuasca medicine along with other details during my stay. It got better each day. I had so many expectations, fears and unknowns. In reading this, my wish is for you to know that as much as you prepare/ educate yourself, no one person’s experience is the same. Keep an open mind because though you may have intentions, she will give you the medicine you need despite what you think you need. Surrender and acceptance are key. Ayahuasca saved my life. I saved my life. Key word: I. I made lifelong friends that I consider to be family now. I also went with my boyfriend. In ceremony, we sat away from one another. We allowed each other space. This is what worked for us. Overall, the holistic experience was perfect and it was worth the wait. Words can't express how life changing the experience was. It was raw. Our group chose to be vulnerable and this made us stronger for it. I have so much respect for what Marco, Cei Cei, Matilde, Sara & the entire staff do. We all had a part in this too :). I would go back. My advice is to choose a place that resonates with you. Don't force it. I hope this helps in any way. Much love.

I went to the Gaia tree with no expectations. I was angry, hurting, unhappy and lost. A week later I was happy, enlightened and I feel like everything in my life before led up to healing at Gaia tree. Can’t thank everyone enough. Cici and Marco were amazing. I learnt to love myself and others for the first time. Gaia tree was the cheapest option and the experience was the best I can imagine. The food, people, experience, care.. I feel like they helped me save my life. Life changing is such an understatement. I love you all xxxx Mark

The journey of Ayahuasca was a hard one for me. I couldn’t imagine going elsewhere. The cuanderos were a mother/ daughter duo and they sang so beautifully together it was breathtaking. Certainly they knew their plant medicine. Matilda was very interactive with me and concerned for my stomach health, she would lay me down and massage my stomach. Those two were worth it in themselves. CC and Marco, our facilitators were knowledgeable about plant medicine and had excellent advice as they have walked their path with this medicine and others as well. They were there for me when I needed them the most. They are compassionate. They have a cook, Johnny, who made meals during this dieta that were simply fantastic. Eating was so enjoyable as I hear from other friends experiences in other retreats were forgettable. The closing meal after all the ceremonies were complete was fantastic, just wish my stomach was larger. I so recommend Gaia Tree retreat to anyone who wants/ needs this journey. I will make this known to all my friends and their friends. Thank you so much, never forget!

First off, I would like to say thank you to the wonderful facilitators Marco and Cei Cei. They are some of the kindest and most insightful people I have met. They made me feel very welcome at the retreat center and provided all the support I needed to feel comfortable and safe. They both really know what they are doing and I cannot imagine better facilitators for the experience. Further, Matilda and Sarah were perfect for conducting the ceremonies and I could see that they were singing their hearts out. They gave everything they had each ceremony and I felt so much positive energy and love from these people. The facilities were nice at Gaia Tree and the food was amazing that Johnny cooked. Everyone who works at Gaia tree is very warm and inviting. Every second at Gaia Tree was meaningful and there was so much for me to learn there. I truly feel as though this retreat was an excellent opportunity for self growth and healing. Much love and respect.

It is difficult for me to express in words the importance of the retreat for me. I have only been back home in the Uk for one night so it would be wildly premature of me to summarise what impact the experience will have on my day to day life. However, I probably slept more soundly last night than I have for some time. I remember waking up wandering around in the middle of the night looking for the 'Bano' cursing myself for not bringing my torch and plastic bag (my fellow adventurers will understand this). I wandered around the rooms in my flat, I went outside and was surprised on opening my garden shed that someone had taken the toilet out and put in a lawnmower and bike. My garden had become the jungle, strange I thought but quite nice. Finally in my front room, familiarity slowly dawned and I was back hom e. I feel that Marco and CiCi would just smile at this, a knowing friendly glint in their eyes. Amazing people, supportive and unobtrusive. I do not think anything could shock them. A purposeful but accepting, gentle presence and that is carried forward by their whole team. So, I feel I have retained an essence of the Forrest and feel this will always stay with me now. Blessings. Michael

So we had looked upon a few different retreats with my girlfriend. And desided to go with Gaia tree, since it seemed legitable and was quite a bit into the amazon, so you would not be disturbed by any cars or construction etc. When we arrived, the people who i met allready felt like i knew them from before. The facilitators Ceicei and Marco where the best you could have asked for. So calm, so helpful and loving people. Allso they told us alot about the plant and others as well, so i felt i learned quite a lot of not just the ayahuasca, wich was nice. The shamans balmira and segundo where allso one of the sweetest couple ive met. The food was good for being dieta food, really tasty. And on the last day we got a nice extra special lunch with lots of deliciousness. I learnt so much about not just my self, but people around me, and through out my life until this day. I definetaly recomend Gaia tree for anyone who is thinking about going on this jurney. You should do it now, stop sitting around thinking bout it. Go out there and expand your mind and sights. Br. This trip was my first into South America and the retreat did a really good job of welcoming me and taking care of me. The quality of the food was excellent, the living conditions were good, and the extra daily activities were fun! I would highly recommend Gaia Tree to anyone who is interested in self-discovery and personal growth, as well as anyone who wants to get away from their busy life and from technology!

I went there back in April of 2018. I am just writing now as I wanted to really take the time to assimilate what had happened and make sure there wasn't any placebo effects. I went there for my PTSD as I had read it could help with symptoms. Nothing could have prepare me for the love and care I received at this retreat. The medicine works. Yes. But the facilitators Cei Cei and Sally played a huge part in my recovery as well. The food was fantastic considering the diet and the shaman Segundo and Belmira were legit, strong and compassionate people. The crew who works there were very loving as well. I am a women who went there alone by the way and want to say I felt safe at all times. So if you feel the calling to go consider Gaia Tree!

I would like to thank Cei Cei for her love and compassion. I did two retreats at the Gaia Tree and consider it home. It was a full range of emotions and experiences. I'm grateful that Madre Ayahuasca called on me to begin my spiritual journey. She is always present with me. The Gaia Tree is love from the workers, facilitators, neighbors, shamans, and children. The Gaia Tree is very dear to my heart. The amazon changed my life forever. Lots of love and gratitude for Peru, the people, and all the mystical powers of the jungle. Although this journey is a difficult one, I can always count on the people that I have met at the Gaia Tree for support. I miss my home at Gaia Tree and become overwhelmed with infinite gratitude. Thank you.

I have just finished up two back to back retreats at Gaia Tree to see whether I could get any relief from a long standing depression that has long lingered since childhood. It is a very special place in a beautiful location on one of the tributary rivers of the Amazon. It is remote and quiet and this allows you to disconnect from any outside distractions, and really helps to focus on deep personal healing. The location is amazing, but it is the people that are involved with the retreat that really made my time memorable. The shamans I had were Matilda and Sara and they were full of love, compassion and a deep commitment to the people that are out there for ayahuasca healing. They both have incredible voices which carry their icaros powerfully throughout the ceremonies and into the jungle that surrounds the maloka. Both Matilda and Sara were very approachable during the days at Gaia Tree and they hung out with us around the retreat which I found helpful; it broke down my barrier of being different from them, and it allowed me to feel as though we were all on a journey towards healing together as a group. They both would go above and beyond what I expected of them; they would often be healing members of our group deep into the night and early morning after ceremony, and also during the following day if someone was struggling. They became good friends and we ended up hanging out together as a group when we were back in Iquitos which was an unexpected bonus and a really special travel experience. Marco and Cei Cei are the facilitators and they are quite simply amazing human beings. They make themselves available to you 24/7 and have great skill and understanding of the unique journey that you are going through from their own personal experience. They are both loving and supportive, but also aware of allowing you your space and not parenting you throughout your retreat. They help to challenge your thinking so you can actually help yourself rather than holding your hand all week. The rest of the crew there are also fantastic and we all had a lot of fun with Jonny, Liz, Sylvio, Orlean, Victor and especially Liz and Sylvio’s son Caesar. He is a mischievous jungle boy who loves being with the guests and always has a hug or a swim in the river in him at any stage of the day. He got me through some pretty lonely moments and really lifted my spirits when I needed it. I have only been to one ayahuasca retreat in my life, but I will never consider going with another company, or using any other shamans after my two weeks at Gaia Tree. You head into the Amazon jungle for your own personal reasons and come back to Iquitos with so much more than you expected. You will meet unbelievably inspiring people from all over the world and will have a home and family in the jungle that will stay in your heart forever. I can’t wait to return and see everyone again. I’ll be strongly advising any friends and family that are interested in ayahuasca to experience Gaia Tree for the healing that I received and enjoyed so much. Muchas gracias hermosa familia! Xoxo

Wonderful Caring Attentive Facilitators, Shaman, and Staff: Cei Cei, Marco, Elias, and Victor were the perfect guides to take me over the threshold to the magic of the Jungle. Wonderful loving profound connection with the whole staff and participants. I felt challenged and cradled throughout. Gaia’s group sizes are good. 8-12 people is the right number to have a variety of meaningful encounters but not so many that it feels like a crowd. The medicine reflects what you bring to it. A prayer or intention from you will be responded to in kind; like how one part of yourself dialogues with another part of yourself. The medicine enhances and accelerates this inner conversation. The intention of the Medicine Woman / Man is key. They are like a doctor opening you up. Gaia Tree can be trusted. with Love, Sanford Wintersberger

It is hard to put into words what a magical experience I had at Gaia Tree. Immediately I felt welcome by the facilitators Cei Cei and Marco. They are both genuine and beautiful people. The group I went with couldn't have been more perfect as I felt we were all there together for a reason. The staff at Gaia Tree were so full of life, and very hard workers. I am ever grateful for the amazing vegan meals and cleaning up after us each night we purged. I am sure I missed my bucket a few times! Everyone was always full of smiles. There was a little boy named Cesar, and his presence was a breath of fresh air. I loved spending time with him, swimming, drawing, and dancing in the rain. I really wish the entire meal was plant-based. It was sad to see chickens in such a small enclosure, without water, and then seeing their dead bodies on my retreat mates' plates. I sang to the chickens one day. They calmed, and relaxed. But for someone who was suicidal because of the mistreatment of our animal brethren and our planet, it was hard for me to see them and hear them kill these animals, watch them fish, and let the fish suffocate to death on the peir and the chickens fear for their lives. Ayahuasca helped me through all of this though, which I am grateful, and that is magical. However, a 100% plant-based meal plan would be more spiritually enlightening, in mine and many other teachers' and healers' opinions. The place was beautiful, the rooms were great, clean, bathrooms were fantastic for being in the middle of the jungle. Definitely use your mosquito net and spray! The shamans Bellamira and Segundo were incredible. I wish we could have seen Ayahuasca being made. I am also a bit appalled by the cleaning supplies at the center. Why is it that they are using chemicals, like bleach, to clean with IN the amazon river?! Bleach in the river?! I would pay more money for an eco-friendly retreat. How hard is it really to send over ECO-Me cleaning supplies, or similar? But bleach in the river... ay ay ay... Otherwise, I couldn't be happier. I loved how our Malaca was in the rainforest, I loved how we got a jungle tour and learned about plant medicines. My life has been changed, and most assuredly I will be back to Peru to partake in the sacrament again, and I, without a doubt would choose Gaia Tree again. The limitation of ‘language’ is extremely evident when one wants to share an Aya experience. Not everyone can be a Terence McKenna. Thus, I shall restrict this review to Gaiatree and the people who make it what it is. I attended 2 retreats in May 2018 which turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. Before you read any further and in case you are sitting on the fence trying to decide between two or more possible retreats to go to in Iquitos, my advice would be to look no further. I can’t promise you that you will enjoy your time as much as I did but I can certainly assure you that Gaitree offers you everything that you need to have the most fulfilling experience with the medicine. I do not say this lightly. All possible praise falls woefully short in describing the love, concern and support offered by each and every person associated with Gaitree. You can feel it from the first moment you interact with Monika who takes care of the Admin. Her patience in dealing with me and my multiple rescheduling of dates is superlative. She is kind and accommodating and helpful and a gem of a person! Omkar, lovingly called the Wandering Monk by those who know him is always available on phone and he took out the time to assuage our doubts and hesitation in working with the medicine. Ceicei is one of the wisest people you will ever meet. I encourage you to engage in discussions with her about your Aya visions, opinions and life in general. You will perhaps see perspectives to life you haven’t imagined earlier. I can write an entire book on Marco. He is one of the finest people I have ever met. He is my Hero and I have christened him Dr. Marco. If you are lucky, during your time with Gaiatree you may get to experience why I call him that. He has surgical precision in whatever he does! A deeply mystical person, with tonnes of experience on a wide variety of subjects connected with spirituality, yet with firm roots in this world. Do ask him about his supernatural experiences. Never ruffled, always in control, he sets the tone for everything at Gaiatree and am grateful that I got to meet him. His facilitation skills during the ceremony is what may make you fall in love with the medicine (and him) the way I have. He has the knack of not just knowing but feeling exactly where you are and what you need during the ceremony. Gaiatree offers a true Jungle experience. I love cold water showers - so wasn’t disappointed with the set up :) The food is good - made and served with love. You can get your laundry done. The feast on the penultimate day is superb stuff! Kambo ceremonies are well supervised and safe. The staff are attentive and loving. Befriend them. There are hidden perks :) I enjoyed every moment of my time with Gaitree and can’t wait to go back.

An infinite thank you to all people in Gaya Tree centre. The entire trip has been a journey for me discovering myself with “Mother Ayahuasca”. Especially to big Brother Marco and Sister Cei Cei who gave a unconditional support, love and guidance on my journey throughout the eight days trip. I made it this far with their nurturing, care and advice. Awesome experiences with both of them. It was amazing many of my past old habits was unlearned and quickly adopt the new wholistic person. I felt I am reborn again moving forward to enlightenment and vision Mother Ayahuasca showed me. Open your heart and have receptive mind, that is when Magic happens. Thank you Segundo and Belmira who showered me with so much love and support like parent. Their energy are so balance looking at them like mum and dad, I cherished the moments I had with them and the healing they rendered to me. It is the best gift of my Life. I appreciate all the staff who looked after us so well during our stay, and constantly making improvement around the space like making neatly arranged wood pathway to the maloka for the ceremony. They are so accommodating on the dietary request. Simple food prepared with so much care and love. Thank you all for making us wonderful meal each day. I missed little Ceaser, his purity and laughter lightened up everyone heart. He would go around making fun and playing around with everyone. It was a pure joy watching him. Jungle tour was awesome guided by Victor with his vast knowledge and experiences. Sharing his stories about the jungle was interesting and so much about plant medicine one can learn from him. I was amazed when he demonstrated doing Kambo on himself and he is really an expert on it. To my new Friends I made in Gaya Tree center, I am so glad to meet common people sharing similar views and thoughts we have for the world. I never going to be alone, or be in my cave again. Thank you for the lovely friendship, support and acceptance. Also, the interacting and bonding among us was so genuine and sincere. I am grateful having to came across such a wonderful family here. All of us are in ONE. To the people in the world who read my review, I hope you will intuitively decide on your retreat center to visit. It is a very humble place to be for healing with nothing fancy and very focus on your healing with Mother Ayahuasca. Thank you Gaya Tree for the retreat making it affordable and decent for anyone who want to obtain the most experiences of Ayahuasca.

Prior to my trip, I read all the recommended books and blogs, watched all the documentaries, and listened to each relevant podcast. NONE of them even came close to accurately describing the Ayahuasca experience. So I won't try to here. My goal of this review is to summarize Gaia Tree Center, as I believe that if you're reading this, you're not trying to determine "if" you will try Ayahuasca, but "where." 1: Affordability. Don't mistake affordable for cheap. This is a place of healing, not a vacation resort. Gaia Tree's priority is the medicine, not luxuries and amenities. I know they are not looking at their financial records, contemplating what their Return on Investment would be if they brought in a masseuse or solar panels. They're more concerned with how many can they possible help. Part of the adventure is getting in touch with nature and how humanity lived for the majority of our collective existence anyway. What you get for your money, though that shouldn't be your reasons for doing Ayahuasca: Travel from Iquitos to Gaia Tree (~3 hours). Up to 5 ayahuasca ceremonies. Refreshing flower baths prior to each ceremony. A 1-on-1 with the Shamans. All meals. Your own bed. Day Jungle and river tour. Night Jungle tour. And more I'm sure I'm leaving out. 2. Facility: Relax in one of the many hammocks. The bathrooms were cleaned regularly. The showers were nice on a hot day. The beds are twin size, but long enough for someone 6ft+ to lay on comfortably. With mosquito nets on each. Night guard on duty. Very pleased overall. I loved spending time in the community center. 3. Facilitators: I hung on every word that Cei Cei said. She's a Saint. Ask her a question, and she'll give you the most profound and simple answer. I feel very fortunate to have absorbed even a little bit of her wisdom. There is no doubt she could capitalize on that wisdom, but she chooses to be in little ole Iquitos helping troubled souls instead. Sally was the other guide we had week. While she is not a regular with Gaia, I'm glad she was there. She helped with a breakthrough outside of an Ayahuasca Ceremony. They do not partake in drinking the Ayahuasca, and are there to help if you need it during the ceremonies. How they could be so selfless to a group of strangers is something you just have to witness for yourself. 4. Shamans: Try not to have a smile on your face when you see them throughout the day. I find it difficult in words to describe the energy they have. Trying to grasp the idea of how much work they've done with Ayahuasca is tough too. They've been doing it for decades. There's nothing they haven't experience while administering the medicine. That is beyond comforting. Choose a tribal Shaman(s) with decades of experience. 5. Ceremonies: Something that set Gaia Tree apart was the number of ceremonies. I don't have the luxury of traveling as I please. So I wanted to make my trip to Peru as efficient as possible. Gaia offers 5 ceremonies in 7 nights. I couldn't find that many any where else. And you're not required to drink on every night. I only did 4 out of 5, as I got what I came for in 4 ceremonies. The ceremonies were very sacred here. I won't go into that much, because again, words won't do them justice. 6. Recommendations for while considering Gaia: A: Go book a retreat immediately after reading this. B: Don't hold back in group sharing. C: Journal when you can. D: Bring mosquito spray. E: Don't cheat the diet leading up. F: Be prepared for change. It will happen. H: My favorite part of the whole trip...staying up late after each ceremony to share with my fellow spiritual adventurers. You have the option to go to sleep, but my soul aches to sit around that candle light with those who stayed up late each night. If you've read my review this far, I'm even more confident that you're in a "where" not "if" state of mind. Pull the trigger. Book Gaia Tree Center. I assure you, even clicking the submit button on your retreat will give you such a feeling of relief. I am happy for the first time in my life. All because of my time at Gaia Tree.

My name is James, my partner and I, Natasha, chose Gaia Tree to embark on a healing journey, what we got instead was so much more. Our experience here was ineffable. The healing, the natural beauty, the shamans, facilitators and the people who shared this experience with us far exceeded what we could of hoped for. It has been the two most rewarding yet challenging weeks of our lives and we are eternally grateful for Gaia tree for guiding us through that process. The shamans and facilitators are not of this earth and are testament that magical people do actually exist. They have opened our eyes to a world otherwise hidden from us. Segundo, belmira, Cei Cei and Sally are remarkable entities from another dimension and they have changed our lives forever. We can not express our gratitude enough. For anyone who is looking for healing or direction in their lives, this is certainly the place to go. Many thanks and endless love, Natasha and James.

I feel whole again and I know this could not of happened without the amazing facilitators, shamans and authentic space to do my work within! This place returned my heart and Self back to me!! I knew I needed work to cleanse my sexual energy but i did not realize to what extent I was disconnected from the inner peace. This place brought me back Into a deep space of integrated glory!! I am eternally grateful for everything I learned and received from this jungle retreat!! I would suggest this 100% to any one interested in working with this powerful medicine!! The food is delicious and the people apart of this healing center are even more yummy in spirit!!

Gaia was my first Amazon jungle retreat. I can't even begin to explain how wildly beautiful, nurturing and nourishing it was at the Gaia retreat center on the banks of the Amazon. Amazing staff that were nothing less then professional, loving and supportive. Small group of 11 people from around the world participated in 5 ceremonies with a authentic and profoundly effective husband and wife Shaman team that guided the group through each ceremony and provided individual consultations and healing. The Sunday buffet, flower baths and Kambos treatment were great too!. Cei Cei and the rest of the support team could not have done a better job at helping each of us through the entire time there. There may be better retreats out there but I doubt they give the same value and "bang for the buck" that Gaia gave me. I look forward to returning for deeper healing and meeting more beautiful seekers.

Coming to Gaia tree was the best decision I ever made. You could not ask for a more loving, safe and beautiful environment. Before I go any further, I must highly commend facilitators Cei Cei and Marco for the outstanding support they provided throughout our stay. Their love and patience is truly infinite and I’ve never met anybody quite like them. We would not have gotten through the process without them. Much love guys. Thank you for being you! Belmira and Segundo were fantastic shamans and helped me to heal on levels I never thought possible. A truly unique experience having both female and male energy and their Icarios are beautiful. Love you mama and papa! Ayahuasca will heal you on levels that are just not accessible through usual channels. I tried medication and talking therapy and whilst I made some progress, I just couldn’t of had the breakthroughs I had without the plant medicine. There were some very tough moments and you have to be prepared to put a lot of hard work in. But what you will gain makes it all worth it. I can see now that I was not mentally sick, rather spiritually sick. I work in the psychiatric industry and I intend on changing careers after this. I can’t believe these plant medicines are illegal in the West (although I suppose I can - they want to make and keep us sick!). The house keeping staff and chefs are fantastic and have such loving energy. Their very loving little son Ceaser kept us good company and we all fell in love with his pure little soul. I miss him lots! Also - jungle guide Victor is fantastic! His knowledge and passion for the jungle, it’s life and its medicines is superb. he is a true free spirit and a joy to be around. Cei cei and Marco provided us with a lovely San Pedro ceremony on our last day, free of charge! It was a great way to finish. I could not recommend this centre more. You can see this is not a money making business, it is completely dedicated to healing. And last but not least, the people I met on my retreat, who have now become my family. Sharing each other’s journeys was truly the most beautiful thing I’ve ever experienced and I will love them all forever. Thank you Gaia tree for keeping the groups to a maximum of 12 as the intimacy really helped to enhance the whole experience. Writing this fills my eyes with tears because I can never put into words just how special this experience was. I will never be the same person again and I could never express my full love and gratitude for everything! Please, if you read this - do not hesitate to come here. I can promise you it will be one of the best decisions you ever make.

An amazing space in the jungle, I felt so taken care of by such amazing healers - Elias was so attentive, along with Marco and Cei supporting us through the entire week. The kitchen staff became my sisters even though I don't speak any Spanish. It was my 3rd retreat in Peru and took me deeper spiritually than anywhere I've been before. They are the real deal and I'll be coming back next year - waking up to the sounds of the animals in the rainforest is something everyone should experience. I also went on the shamanic Machu Picchu group with them - it felt so good after connecting with grandmother to spend time in the mountains with people that understand the journey. So much gratitude to be able to come here- thank-you all

I could go on and on, but in short let me say that Gaiatree not only offered an experience that people travel across the world to experience, based on all I have read, in a very traditional and spiritual location deep in the jungle. Once your facilitators (whom I prefer to call guardians) have you, you are in excellent care. Cei Cei and Marco are exceptional in their level of care and personal interaction. Our shaman for the week was Elias. My husband and I found him to be amazing, almost an all-knowing grandfather figure and his ability to journey with us and remain a pillar of solid strength for us all was beyond comprehension. The lodge was adequate. It is a bit basic and rough, but did offer some unexpected amenities such as flushing toilets and running showers. My only issues was with the bedding in the beds and on the mats in the Molakas. This is a personal thing for me and when I go back I will bring my own bottom sheet. The tambos are weather proof enough but not bug proof at all. I highly recommend long pants, long sleeve shirts and socks when you can stand the heat. We were thrilled with our experience and will be back.

Five stars. Very powerful, positive experience. Helpful staff and good facilities. Legit shaman Elias. Apparently Segundo and Belmira are opening their own place elsewhere so Gaia Tree is working with a new shaman named Elias. He was great and gave special attention during ceremony to people having a difficult time. Very safe and peaceful atmosphere. We had a simple and bland diet for the retreat, followed by a tasty feast on the last day. There are showers, but no hot water. There is mosquito netting but you'll still get bit. It's not a comfort resort. Accepting the discomfort is an important part of the experience, especially the discomfort from the medicine. Dig deep and you will get commensurate rewards. Overall highly recommended.

Was will man mehr? Haha. Alles Liebe!

Absolutely amazing experience. Everything about gaia tree exceeded my expectations.

Words can not even come close to describing how amazing this experience was. Everyone from the facilitators, Marcos and Anna, the Shaman Segundo and Belmira, the support staff and their families, our Jungle Guide Victor, and the participants in our group, were aligned in perfect synchronicity. The setting is in the jungle two hours boat ride from the city of Nauta. (Just that alone was worth the price. Which was very affordable.) The ceremonies were the highest quality. And the connection to the Ayahuasca Spirit was stronger than anything I've ever experienced. Thanks to all the support, I was able to achieve my personal goals for this journey and much more. I made new friends from all over the world who feel like family. I highly recommend Gaia Tree Healing Center whether you're an experienced traveller or a first time Ayahuasca journeyer. This place is truly unique.

My experience at Gaia Tree was life transforming. The staff is caring, supportive and very experienced in the work they do. I trusted the staff and the shaman and that allowed me to surrender fully to the experience and the reward for that was love in abundance. I enjoyed my time at Gaia Tree so much I would return to experience more. It was dry season when I went in September so I now desire a visit during the wet season. Go. Be open. Trust. Surrender. You'll be thankful you did M.

Some things cannot be explained but you just know it deep inside, that´s how I knew I was meant to go to Gaia Tree. It was beyond what I could have imagined. Gaia Tree is a state, a family that goes on the journey of love and wonder. Gratitude to everyone. The companionship of the staff, Santa Cecilia, St. Marcus and chefe Victor, the healing of the Shamans and the love and sheltering from the others Br. Ólafur Kjartansson - ÓK

Before coming to Gaia retreat I have worked with Ayahuasca in Brazil at upscale place. At Gaia mine and my wife’s experiences were of genuine healing. The shamans, Segundo and Belmira, are very powerful and effective. The facilitators are very well trained in personal development and psychology and are always available. I was able heel deep emotional scars related to past divorce. Also very helpful was Cambo detox ceremony we had in the middle of retreat. I think it helped loosen the negative attachments and the following night with Ayahuasca was very intense and the “demons” left me. In addition we had daytime and nighttime jungle walks with local guide and a boat trip to a native village. The place is clean with showers, and flush toilets; we didn’t miss any comforts. The food was tasty and filling. Nature is beautiful at the retreat and it is a part of healing process. Suggestion ... bring bit more extra money for tips for the staff/ kitchen. There is no pressure to tip but when I was healed, I felt a lot of gratitude and wished has some more with me. May you be healed too.

Ayahuasca brought me one of the most difficult but rewarding experiences I have ever been through. I am so thankful for the Gaia Tree staff, and I cannot believe some of the things they put up with. I’ll be honest and say that one night I made their job extremely difficult, but they could not have handled it in a better way. The team is very experienced, full of wisdom, and always respond out of intuition on what to do during somebody’s difficult experience. Gaia Tree gives you a true jungle experience as well as an amazingly loving, genuine, and nonjudgemental staff. My experience with Gaia Tree was perfect, and I would not have rather chosen any other way.

I spent 10-day retreat at Gaia last spring and it was the most amazing experience. I was not sure what to expect, but I was completely satisfied with the care and welcoming from the staff. I felt comfortable that women were there to help guide me through the experience and provide whatever support I needed to make the best of the retreat. I would definite like to come back another time!

It was a never ending slumber with friends and family from around the world. Thank you for the Flower baths, strong brew and never ending conversations...the awe moment when you know your back in the hands of mother earth while surrounded by primary jungle. Each day after ceremony, we would awaken together and share our dream of visions and healed past lives. The bound you share at this retreat with Shipibo healers, the jungle guide, facilitators and staff was the feeling of a forever home. Your intentions bring you peace while your in the comfort of this home. I'm blessed to have found such a magical place and I need to return to ensure this wasn't a dream... Thank you Gaia for sharing the path.

My week at Gaia tree was the most profound experience I have ever had. Years leading up to this experience could not have prepared me for the transformational healing that was experienced. The connections to everyone at the retreat were made for a lifetime. We were a soul family reuniting once again on this physical plain. The clarity, insight, wisdom, and beauty I experienced was my biggest blessing. I wish every being this gift of clarity and if you have the chance to go to Gaia tree, take it. Don't let money be a problem just go. I am still experiencing so much insight and love being back home. My whole life has improved I lost all my baggage and fear that ailed me and I'm free as rain to live how I want. Thanks you thank you thank you. Divine mother of healing, facilitators of this retreat, cooks, shamans, &a and god. So blessed and grateful. Thanks you❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was skeptical of choosing the retreat as I could not find much information online and I had never been to Peru. You will not be disappointed if you choose this retreat. This was truly an astonishing and spiritual experience for me. I have much experience in the psychedelic realm and I was looking to go further into the DMT dimension and fix a major health issue that has plagued me for two years. I was completely surprised by the rituals and magic that surrounds the plant medicine world. This exceeded my hopes for what could have happened. Many Many Many visions, more expansion of awareness, and a huge dose of spiritualism. This is no joke. You will be amazed and you will have a very serious revelation coming to the Jungle and living with these people for a week or more. My health is repaired and I haven't felt this good in over two years. Many doctors have tried to help from western medicine with no luck. One week in the Jungle and I am basically cured. Took a health dose of Kambo and some serious work with Ayahuasca, but worth every second of pain and pleasure. I will be coming back soon to learn more about these dimensions and to start my journey of helping others discover the magic in nature that still exist in the Amazon Jungle. Thank you!

It is difficult to put into words all I have experienced, but the short version is that now my heart is open and full of love, and I never want to close it ever again. My choices come from a place of love and not a place of fear and that is so freeing. Working with the medicine has helped me heal, know myself, love myself and forgive myself, and receive much more than I could have ever imagined or desired. We all go with some sort of expectation, but I can assure you, it is not what you think or expect. Mother Aya will give you and show you what she thinks is best for you, and what you are ready for. People often say that working with Ayahuasca is like doing tens of years of therapy within a few ceremonies, and believe me it is true. It will help you face your fears and break down your walls, feel the purest unadulterated love you could ever feel, and realise that closing down, repressing, suppressing feelings won't be an option again. Feeling everything, the good the bad, is part of life and our journey, if you don't feel, you can't let go. I could go on and on, but you will see for yourselves if you decide to take the first step into this amazing journey. Choosing Gaia Tree was the best decision. Everyone there is absolutely amazing, caring and full of love. The support received was absolutely wonderful, couldn't have asked for a better retreat and people to help me through my journey . We arrived 12 strangers, we left family, and that is thanks to Mother Ayahuasca and everyone at Gaia Tree. Thank you

Gaia tree center is a very well organized, safe, and clean environment. The staff are so sweet- very welcoming, and helpful. The food was better than expected, as one usually doesn't expect a fulfilling meal on such a strict diet- but I was well fed. There are actual bathrooms and showers to use .. the beds were comfortable in a remote jungle setting, the area surrounding the center is full of beautiful nature and life. The shamans were lovely and healing. The medicine is strong and powerful and has gave me insight and clarity so that I can thrive in my life. I am happier for coming to gaia. I am thankful to have taken this step on my journey with this center.

Wow where do I start! If anyone is serious about healing and growing spiritually with the most amazing team, the Gaia Tree is tbe place to go. In May this year I spent a most amazing week in the Jungle at tbe Gaia Tree. I wanted to work on a very deep level of healing, and this was the place spirit led me too. The team was just amazing. Andy and Omkar from Peru Odyssey organized our visit to the Gaia tree. Seguano, Belmira and Victor were our Shamans, that worked with me on such a deep level. Our amazing support team Cie cie, Marcos and Paul, who supported me fully through my process. Our food was prepared with love from the beautiful friends Lix and Zoilita in the kitchen. little Cesar was our mascot. My life has been changed forever. Fantastic experience with a group of likeminded souls. It was such supportive team, and I made some beautiful friends. The energy at the Gaia tree was so healing. I felt very safe and supported. It felt like I was home. With much gratitude and love. Love and light Veronica x

Nice simple place where people take care of you. People are nice, everything is very good. If anything should be said, it would be nice with some specifics on how to manage the ceremony, or the ayauascha trip. I had a great time and im thinking of coming back for another retreat. I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in healing

There's magic that happens at Gaia Tree. Gaia Tree is here for a purpose whether the facilitators know it or not. Trust me if you are looking for a place to heal or explore yourself introspectively and be deep in the jungle Gaia Tree is the place for this. I have never felt so safe. The Shamans, Belmira and Sengundo were the most loving and caring people I have ever met a long with the whole Gaia Tree family. All very experienced and understanding. Also because you are farther in the jungle you get to see a lot of wild life. Every morning the birds sing symphonies. The food was great, even for the ayahuasca diet. I just felt love all the time even when I was by myself. I plan on going back in the future with my twin next time. If you are wondering whether Gaia Tree is the right place for you. I'll answer the question for you because that's what I would want someone to do for me. Yes 💗

I chose Gaia Tree because of the simplicity of what was offered. I felt I needed to be very connected to the earth for the ceremonies and the site is very connected to nature. The retreat is very bare bones. I participated in 2 ceremonies. It was the hardest, most uncomfortable thing I have ever been through. The medicine was very hard on my system. I was very dehydrated and exhausted after the first 2 days. I told Victoria and Susana I had to leave. IT felt like the most self loving decision. And they did what they could to get me back into town the next day. I was very grateful to be able to leave. And grateful to the staff for doing what they could to get me out of there. I thought the owners may give me some money back or a credit for future ceremonies, but they did not. I learned many valuable lessons and purged soo soo much. Like very much. A ton. I couldn't believe the amount of stuff I had repressed. I think I probably drank too much. I am pretty healthy and very sensitive to energy, medicine, and sound, so If i could do it over again, I would drink less. The shamans used this perfume alcohol for cleansing (i guess?) and it made me sooo soo sick. It was hard for me to breathe and be in the ceremonial space. I just wanted fresh air and I could not find it. It was also very hard to be in the ceremonial space while everyone else is purging. Its hard for me to get into my zen place when people are screaming and puking all over the place. The staff did what they could to keep everything calm, but there is only so much they can control. Having said all that, it was very peaceful to sleep under the stars and be deeply connected to the amazon. I slept outside most of the nights I was there. I don't think the medicine is meant for everyone, but I do think it is life transforming. My love to Victoria and Susana! xoxo

What an amazing feeling being held in this space with abundant nature all around. Amazing shaman, supportive and caring staff and most of all feeling like I'd come home. My third jungle retreat and this is by far the best center I've come across, simple, loving and powerful - I went deeper than I have on my previous retreats, simply because of the intimate circles and the powerful healing space created.

And it's still working. One of best things I have done and I highly recommend it. The center is genuine and simple. Thank you for the abundance of support and acceptance from the shamans, facilitators and new found friends. I would tell you all about it but please find out for yourself and I'm sure you'll be as speachess as me.

Back in July, 2016, I went to Gaiatree for a week-long retreat. It was a truly magical and healing experience. The jungle setting is pure and basic, no distractions, just nature. The shipibo shaman and his wife lead the ceremonies, held the space and sang beautiful icaros to support us in our journey. Our guides, Victoria and Zuzana, are wise and beautiful people with extensive experience. I have felt safe and supported all throughout my stay. The group process was powerful in itself, as sharing in our experiences was an important part of integration. Next time in Peru, I will be going to Gaiatree again. I highly recommend them!

Gaia tree gave me so much. A sense of being connected to the earth and the people around. I was able to share my experiences in a safe place with others who have great insight. I would recommend me Gaia tree to everyone and of course I'm coming back

I went to Iquitos not really knowing what to expect despite the research I had done. My time at Gaia Tree was AMAZING! This was one decision I am truly proud to say I accomplished. Not many people can say they've done spiritual work in the Amazon with a shaman. The experience with the shaman and the facilitators was a truly eye opening experience that I won't forget. It wasn't always easy but the results were profound. Working with Ayhuasca may not be for everyone, but if she is calling to you I highly recommend going to Gaia Tree. I am a changed man for the better for having spent a week at Gaia!

I've wanted to head to Peru for an aya retreat for years and I finally pulled the trigger and went to Gaia Tree. I can honestly say that I loved every minute of my experience and couldn't have picked a better place to go. Since returning, I feel like I'm living a more fulfilling life and am grateful for every passing moment. Gaia Tree really helped me find myself again!

I picked this centre due to the price and amount of ceremonies offered. If you feel like taking a break, there are always more opportunities. The centre is in the middle of the jungle with simple yet perfectly sufficient huts. The shamans come from the main tribe known for being Ayahuasca masters (shipibo) & the ceremonies carried out in a traditional manner. The staff of the centre were outstanding and were very good at being supportive during difficult times in the ceremony.

If you’re looking for 5 star resort will all the luxuries money can offer then this place is not for you. However, if you are looking to be turned off from the rest of the world, immerse yourself in nature, eat simple local delicious food, have the support you need during your journey and be in a small group that you can trust, then I recommend you visit Gaia Tree. Victoria and Zuzana are absolutely amazing facilitators. They were always there for me when I needed a chat, a genuine laugh, help walking during the ceremony or get my toilet fixed. Whatever my concern or issue was they were there for me every time and eager to help out. Tanita always made sure we were feed delicious clean food but more then that she always greeted me with joy and genuine happiness. What can I say about Segundo and Belmira the shaman, it’s unbelievable how hard they work during the ceremonies and the passion that they have for the medicine as well as helping others. Sleeping in a mosquito netted hut made me feel like was connected to nature, and I didn’t any issue with reptiles or creepy crawls. For me this was the ideal place to connect with mother nature and escape the all my first world problems. Thank you to those who were there for the journey.

With Gaia Tree you will definitely feel safe, get all the support you need throughout the whole journey, all your questions will be answered and you will have an experience of a life time. Secondo and Belmira are beautiful people and very good Shamans. You won’t be able to miss their grounded and strong spirit. We got incredible support from the facilitators Victoria and Suzana throughout the sessions and after, the peaceful surroundings of Amazon added to the experience and having maximum of 10 people was perfect size to be able to connect with everyone and get the support we needed. I loved the simple accommodation, being so close to the nature and being away from any technology except my camera. I must say that Gaia Tree met all my needs in regards to what I expect from a retreat and even more. I would recommend Gaia Tree to everyone for its location, great staff and overall great experience. It is a perfect place if you are going for the first time. P.s. Look at the sky at night, the clearest sky and brightest stars ever!

I booked with Gaia Tree at the last minute after a particularly stressful time at work (enterprise programme sales and delivery consulting for F100s). I went to Peru to relax and ended up connecting with the people and the world around me meaningfully. I came back completely rejuvenated in a way I couldn't have anticipated beforehand. First contact is a very complete and useful information package, including an essential checklist of what to bring. I travel for business (writing this in a pub in Shoreditch, near the City) and my company's travel dept could learn something from Gaia Tree. Vic and Suze, the coordinators I met on the ground, were wonderful. They radiate exactly the calm, controlled, competent energy I needed and were completely trustworthy. And trust is ESSENTIAL to the work you'll be doing. Every detail is handled for you. I meditate and do yoga and during the retreat I was able to focus calmly, truly, and deeply, in a way that is just not possible in my regular life. The facilities are bucolic: gorgeous, like summer camp as a kid. The food is healthy and delicious (a tricky combo). The local staff are friendly and helpful. Belmira and Segundo are out of this world 😆 I don't normally review things online, but I've pointed enough of my closest friends this way that I thought I would share the love. Gaia Tree is an undiscovered gem.

I chose Gaiatree for to experience traditional ceremonies with icaros . The two shamans are very powerful. and the last ceremonies was beyond amasing Having days off allowed integration time and time to connect with other participants. I really value the respectful way ceremonies and circle time were conducted. Ceremonies were powerful really powerful. Sharing in circle time revealed the wisdom of the medicine....every persons journeys were uniquely what they needed. Food was delicious, prepared with love you could sense and taste. Simply the best way to journey into the healing world of ayahuasca that I can imagine. Much gratitude ❤️🙏

I'm not kidding. I came back from this a changed person, a better person. At first, I was skeptical of the center and what ayahuasca will do to me because I'd read that it's painfully transformative. At the point of my life where I needed more answers than questions, we all have those times...I took a leap of faith and flew to Peru all on my own. The facilitators Victoria and Susana picked me up with a van full of food and supplies as well as other participants who became good friends of mine. I felt supported and welcomed at the center, it's not a 5 stars hotel but it was sufficient to keep us fed and safe during the ceremonies. I have to say this, if you are ready to let go of your past and see what it is that you need, it might not be pleasant or pretty but it is the truth and you have to be able to handle it. The Shamans, husband & wife will sing throughout the ceremonies and they come to each person for a customized song, sit up and take it in as they mean to help you open up, facilitate your energy. I recalled Victoria & Susana were the most attentive people of all, I wouldn't have known what to do without them, they will be there whenever you need them during the ceremonies. We had one of the most memorable experience, filled with emotions & resolutions and much more that I cannot put them into words...all I can tell you is that bring yourself, a few essential things (bug sprays!!) and let it be. You will NOT regret it.

I am SO glad I chose Gaiatree for my traditional healing ceremonies. Having two shamans gave us a balanced feminine/masculine energy mix and twice as long exposure to their powerful sound ceremonies. Since they are husband and wife their energies are infused with love. The simplicity of the tambo and grounds suited me, I love the deep nature connection and 'roughing ' it. Our guides were caring, considerate, attentive and inclusive. I felt totally safe and protected. Having days off allowed integration time and time to connect with other participants. Much gratitude ❤️🙏

the journey within begins at Gaia Tree. The experience was AMAZING. I'm a person that is spiritual but love the nice things about me. At Gaia Tree , nothing was lost and everything gained. I can not say enough incredible things about this retreat. First , the staff was warm and friendly and very understanding. Second, everything provided was absolutely everything I really needed. I thought I would have a hard time adjusting to the place and boy was I wrong. I found I took to the place like a duck to water. Really didn't miss my cell phone or the outside world. If you are looking for a journey into "YOU". This is the absolute experience. I met loving caring people who I am proud to call my family. The accommodations and atmosphere were perfect. I wanted to get to know the real me and I found him. Thank you!! Finding the peace within was the true gift that Gaia Tree helped me find. I liked the simplicity of things this place offers and not classes and fillers that others places offer. If you are looking for a true spiritual awakening this is the only retreat to consider. Thank you Victoria and staff.

This is the place for you who are looking for simplicity, silence and lots of space for body, mind and soul. Nothing that distracts you except your own mind :-) The people working there to create the best experience for you are generous, kind, full of laughter and very present. You feel very safe and very good taken care of and there is always someone to talk to and share your thoughts with. A very allowing and joyful atmosphere. The facilities are perhaps for some very primitive but for me that was just perfect; a lodge, a dry toilet is what you get and the torch is your light in the night. I loved it! No distractions such as electricity, swimmingpools, classes during day to participate in except for the daily group discussions - it's all about YOU and your inner journey + the physical experiences being in the jungle. I am so grateful and I found new and wonderful friends. I also learned about some medicine plants and I will dive deeper into the medicine plants we have here in Finland - we have lots of them :-) Very inspiring! This journey has been such a revelation for me and I will visit Gaia Tree Center again some day, hopefully with friends or/and famliy members. I came to the center with an intention and after five ceremonies and spending time with wonderful people in a beautiful and magical environment, I went back home with a lighter heart, a cleansed body and a peaceful mind. I asked Pacha Mama to take away what I no longer needed and she did. Gracias! Gracias! Gracias! Lots of Love and Appreciation <3 Carina
