About us

This eight night magical journey will lead us around The Coromandel Peninsula, one of the most diverse, scenic and eclectic parts of the country. With its lush forests and breathtaking beaches, this is a must see for any visit to New Zealand. This unique tour will lead you on a journey to a Buddhist  retreat centre, a forest bathing resort and will include native medicine walks, outdoor spas, yoga, beach bbqs, stargazing and much more.

Our tour begins in Auckland where we will take an easy 2 hour drive to our first stop of a tranquil Buddhist meditation centre. We will take the time to explore meditation, forest bathing and native plants. We continue on to the beautiful town of Whangapoua, boasting world-renowned New Chums beach, a short walk away. Experience the wonder of a true kiwi bach experience before continuing to spend our final three nights in a luxurious forest retreat. A deep dive into full nature immersion and natural hot springs end our tour. This tour is led by Hannah McQuilkan qualified Naturopath, Medical Herbalist and Forest Bathing Practitioner, along with Louise Taylor, yoga teacher and somatic therapist and Rakura, Maori Medicine Woman.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

After having just completed my RYT 200 I have been inspired to further my yoga journey and my own personal journey inward. I have fallen in love with yoga and how it has changed my life and I just want to continue to explore so I can share this beautiful gift with as many as possible. Jessica
