About This Event
“Enlightenment,” said Zen Master Dogen, “is intimacy with all things.” In this daylong meditation retreat, we’ll explore the many rich meanings of Dogen’s insightful statement. A major focus of the day includes the practice of sitting and walking meditation in Noble Silence. There will be meditation instructions and a dharma talk on the retreat theme. In addition, we’ll do some guided meditations and interactive exercises to deepen our understanding of the essential role that intimacy plays in our personal lives and in the process of spiritual awakening.
Please arrive between 8 and 8:30 AM. Coffee, tea and water available at 8, sign in at 8:30. Please be ready to start promptly at 9 AM. Bring a bag lunch or choose from 2 box lunch options at $15.
Additional information will be emailed by Nov. 3rd.
