As a dedicated bodyworker specializing in myofascial deep tissue therapy, permaculture, and plant medicine, Asdrubal’s mission is to inspire and empower individuals toward a more sustainable and balanced way of living. His approach integrates a diverse array of tools, drawing from the symbiotic relationships between humans, nature, and the elements. By fostering a reconnection of body, mind, and spirit, Asdrubal invites others to explore the healing potential that exists within themselves and their natural surroundings. Through years of observation, study, and practical experience, Asdrubal has developed sustainable systems that are the foundation of Casa Arkaana’s vision. His life's work is to create and maintain a healing sanctuary that exists in harmony with nature, offering a space for deep transformation and growth.

Maja Vučenović

Maja is a cultivator of integral well-being and guardian of Casa Arkaana (Sustainable Wellness Sanctuary). Her path, rooted in anthropology and the humanities, spans two decades of study and practice dedicated to exploring consciousness, the yogic path, and self inquiry. Her specialisation within the yogic traditions gravitates towards Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa, prenatal, and trauma-informed yoga. Additionally, Maja is trained as a doula, in ethnobotany, and somatic healing. She is deeply immersed in Earth-based traditions and Ancestral Wisdom, learning from the plants and elders through ancient cosmovisions and healing arts. Motherhood is her greatest source of learning, inspiration, and growth. Through her service, Maja sows seeds of consciousness expansion, supporting others in reconnecting with their purpose and the art of living; thus contributing to a more harmonious and sustainable world.

At the end of October, the veil between worlds grows thin. Ancient traditions across cultures recognized this as a sacred threshold — a time when ancestors draw close, when the unseen becomes visible, and when the deepest truths rise to the surface.

Surrender to Remember is Casa Arkaana's signature 7-day ayahuasca retreat, held in the heart of the Mexican jungle. Between the Worlds edition is timed to the cross-quarter between the Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice — the moment the ancients called Samhain, when the boundary between the living and the ancestral dissolves.

This is not a retreat for the curious. It is for those who feel the call — who are ready to release what no longer serves and remember what has always been true.

THE CONTAINER

Over 7 days in the sacred jungle of the Riviera Maya, you will be held in one of the most powerful ceremonial spaces in the region. The retreat includes:

• 3 ayahuasca ceremonies in our temple — one of the finest ceremonial spaces in Mexico, purpose-built for plant medicine work
• Temazcal (traditional sweat lodge) ceremony for ancestral connection and purification
• Flower baths for energetic clearing and opening

THE SPACE

Casa Arkaana is a boutique healing sanctuary nestled in the pristine jungle 20 minutes from Tulum. Fed by underground cenote water, surrounded by ancient trees, far from the noise of the tourist strip — this is a place where the jungle does much of the healing.

Our temple (ceremonial space) is widely considered one of the finest in the region. Spacious, energetically clear, purpose-built. Facilitators who have worked in ceremony spaces across the world consistently tell us: something here is different.

Capacity is intentionally limited to 12 participants to preserve the depth and intimacy of the container.

Directions

Directions to Casa Arkaana:

🌱Having come off the motorway by taking the exit for Chemuyil, you will pass the town of Chemuyil on the left.

🌱Continue driving along that road, passing a half built church, a sports field and a medical centre on your left.

🌱This road will turn into a dirt road and then asfalt, which you will continue down for about 10 minutes. You will pass a large bridge and continue along until you see two stone towers connected by a wooden bridge on your right. This is Aldea Coral.

🌱Aldea Coral has a yellow ramp which you will drive through, letting the security know that you are visiting Casa Arkaana.

🌱Once in Aldea Coral, you will take the 3rd road to the left where you will see a Casa Arkaana sign.

🌱Drive down this road until you reach the 2nd stone wall, which has a wooden gate and a round, wooden Hummingbird sign on your left (please ensure you enter where you see the Hummingbird sign).

-VERANDA — THE JAGUAR DENS Four spacious rooms in our main building, each with a private en-suite bathroom and a deck overlooking the jungle canopy. The Jaguar Dens blend bohemian warmth with organic design — built for rest, reflection, and integration between ceremonies. Guests share a beautiful communal kitchen, dining room, lounge, and deck terrace. Amazing retreat and jungle getaway

I had such an incredible experience at Casa Arkaana. I was looking to get back in touch with myself, open up, and heal. And I was able to do all of that and more gained a new family in the process. Asdru, Maya, and Marco were so amazing and planned the retreat with such care and intentionality. It was such a beautiful experience and one that I’m so glad I made the decision to go to. Not only did we try a variety of healing medicines, but also integrated jungle walks, cenotes, yoga, breath work, and amazing healthy and delicious meals. Just a great container for healing.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when going to Casa Arkaana for their Ancestral Spirits retreat, and had reached out over email and then talked on the phone with them to be comfortable making the decision to go given the lack of reviews. Asdru, who lives on the property with his wife Maya and daughter, was so kind and comforting over the phone, and talked with me for over an hour answering all my questions.

Once I arrived the veranda room was clean and nice accommodation, and they’ve built a beautiful common space to hang with the other guests during the retreat. Also anything I needed they were quick to provide and so helpful throughout.

If you’re looking for a retreat where the hosts truly care and want to build a personal connection with them, this is the right one for you.

10/10 would do many times again! If you have a calling to do it, don’t think too much, just do it! You’re in great hands with Casa Arkaana.

First Time

I can say everything is structured better than I imagined from my perspective. Everyone I met there are from different walks of life and we were all there to intake the medicine and work through whatever it was the medicine was bringing to the surface. Asdrubal and Maja were very informative on any questions I had, since this was my first dieta and first time with mama ayahuasca. Its a very safe location as well so there was no need to ever worry during my stay. The location is in the jungle as well so I had the opportunity to reconnect with nature as well as reset my circadian rhythm. Its been about 3 weeks since I was there last and I receive downloads still from the medicine, yet anything I need help understanding I know I can reach out to Asdrubal and Maja since we stayed in contact with each other. There were times where I was stuck processing what I had experienced in the ceremonies the night before and Maja would come up to me and ask me about it afterwards so we could decipher what some of the messages meant and that was very helpful in getting me out of my own head and realizing how to take action on the message. I never had to worry about my eating while I was there as they had already taken out what would've been counterintuitive for the medicine or the master plants that we were introduced to. I worked through a lot while I was there and its definitely been for the better; I am looking forward to going back again and I would definitely recommend Casa Arkaana to anyone from seasoned drinkers to new drinkers. Drinkers of mama ayahuasca of course. Everyone there except for another dietera was experienced and they explained the comparisons of other retreats with Casa Arkaana and I can confidently say I made the right decision.
