About this Retreat
Asdrubal’s journey is deeply rooted in a profound connection with master plants and traditional wisdom. Over the years, he has immersed himself in various ancestral practices, cultivating a deep understanding of healing through nature. As a dedicated bodyworker specializing in myofascial deep tissue therapy, permaculture, and plant medicine, Asdrubal’s mission is to inspire and empower individuals toward a more sustainable and balanced way of living.
His approach integrates a diverse array of tools, drawing from the symbiotic relationships between humans, nature, and the elements. By fostering a reconnection of body, mind, and spirit, Asdrubal invites others to explore the healing potential that exists within themselves and their natural surroundings.
Through years of observation, study, and practical experience, Asdrubal has developed sustainable systems that are the foundation of Casa Arkaana’s vision. His life's work is to create and maintain a healing sanctuary that exists in harmony with nature, offering a space for deep transformation and growth.
Maja is a cultivator of integral well-being and guardian of Casa Arkaana (Sustainable Wellness Sanctuary). Her path, rooted in anthropology and the humanities, spans two decades of study and practice dedicated to exploring consciousness, the yogic path, and self inquiry. Her specialisation within the yogic traditions gravitates towards Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa, prenatal, and trauma-informed yoga. Additionally, Maja is trained as a doula, in ethnobotany, and somatic healing.
She is deeply immersed in Earth-based traditions and Ancestral Wisdom, learning from the plants and elders through ancient cosmovisions and healing arts. Motherhood is her greatest source of learning, inspiration, and growth. Through her service, Maja sows seeds of consciousness expansion, supporting others in reconnecting with their purpose and the art of living; thus contributing to a more harmonious and sustainable world.
Details of this retreat
Casa Arkaana holds ayahuasca ceremonies in the Shipibo tradition, a tradition we have walked with for eleven years, dieting and sitting with Maestro Gilberto Mahua of the Shipibo people, and carrying this work into Mexico from the Peruvian Amazon.
For this retreat, we're joined by Jurriën, a facilitator who lived for years with Maestro Gilberto's family in the Amazon and has been holding ceremonies in that tradition ever since. Asdru and Maja hold the container alongside him. A Mexican-born husband and European wife who have walked this path together with the Shipibo maestros for over a decade.
Three ceremonies over seven days. A maximum of twelve guests. Held in a hand-built temple in the Mayan jungle, twenty minutes north of Tulum.
Before we accept anyone, we meet on a video call and review your medical and emotional readiness. This is for people who have felt the call for a long time, and are ready to sit with the medicine in a safe, prepared, and carefully held container.

THE SPACE
Casa Arkaana is a healing sanctuary nestled in the pristine jungle 20 minutes from Tulum. Fed by underground cenote water, surrounded by ancient trees, this is a place where the jungle does much of the healing.
Our temple (ceremonial space) is spacious, energetically clear, and purpose-built. Facilitators who have held ceremony here often speak of how clean and powerful the energy feels to work in.
Capacity is intentionally limited to 12 participants to preserve the depth and intimacy of the container.
Medical & Emotional Screening — Two Steps Before You Can Book
Step 1: Medical & emotional intake form.
A written intake we review together. It covers medications (SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs, and lithium, full washout required, supervised by your doctor), cardiac conditions, history of psychosis or bipolar disorder in yourself or immediate family, current mental health treatment, and pregnancy.
Step 2: Video call with Asdru & Maja.
A 30-minute conversation. We hear what's calling you, what you've done before, what's happening in your life. You ask us anything about the ceremony, the tradition, and the container.
