Participating in Bend it like Buddha's Yoga Alliance accredited RYT 200 and Ayurvedic massage-therapy certification in India can be the first step in a life-changing journey of health and wellness. This one-of-a-kind double certification training offers an opportunity to learn and practice a variety of yoga asanas, pranayama, meditation, Reiki, Ayurvedic healing practices, and massage. You will be learning from four experienced, talented, and compassionate instructors with more than 50 years of combined experience.

CERTIFICATIONS

Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive certificate affiliated with Yoga Alliance. Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a globally recognized credential. You will receive a one-of-a-kind double certificate upon successful completion of the training.

SKILL LEVEL

Beginners are welcome to join the training, however, six-months to one year of experience is highly recommended in Vinyasa or Ashtanga practice.

TRAINING PROGRAM

This yoga teacher training in India program is offered by several highly experienced, talented, and compassionate instructors. All of their teachings are only on their specialty and expertise in their chosen disciplines. Together, all of the teachers have over 70 years of combined teaching experience.

Through this retreat, you will learn the ancient art and science of Mysore-Ashtanga-Vinyasa yoga primary series and Vinyasa flow. You will also learn the incredible skill of adjustments and modifications for eg.)using props, by the lead instructor who was trained by BNS Iyengar, the lineage of the great yoga master, Sri Krishnamacharya, considered the father of modern yoga; teacher of the world-famous yoga master Pattabhi Jois.

You will learn about the Astanga eight limbs, yogic lifestyle off the mat, nutrition modules, attend optional Indian vegetarian classes to learn delicious dishes and know more about the world famous Indian spices. You will practice with instructors who specialize in alignment and are physiology experts giving you lessons on yoga anatomy and how to safely teach yoga for beginners, elderly, and those who are in pain, with injuries, and many health conditions that are commonly seen in today's world.

You will also learn Myofascial release, which is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Applied yoga therapy is taught in a practical manner through the yoga massage therapist certification modules.

Another highlight of this training program is an opportunity to learn Ayurvedic Indian massage which is an ancient healing art involving intensive work on the body’s meridians utilizing assisted stretching, deep compression, channeling of breath, and rhythmic movements. It is traditionally performed on a fully dressed recipient lying on a thin floor mat with or without oils.

The comprehensive massage and yoga anatomy modules will set the foundation for an enduring practice as an Ayurvedic massage therapist and yoga teacher. By keeping class sizes small, it is ensured that every student will work or gets worked on by the instructor, making the learning accurate and experiential. The Ayurveda, massage, and yoga anatomy modules are conducted typically from Monday to Friday, about 60 minutes per day (8 hours total).

The modules cover about 45-massage techniques with the client lying usually in a supine or lying-on-their-back position. The course is most beneficial for massage therapists, body workers, yoga practitioners, energy healers, and people interested in alternative healing methods for clients, friends, and family.

There will also be classes on yoga therapy, yoga for kids, the elderly, pregnancy and for pre and post-natal students, teaching methodology, ethics, business aspects of opening up and branding your yoga studio, yoga teacher social media tools, energy healing, Reiki, Kundalini, chakras, nadis, pranayama, Sanskrit mantras, yoga philosophy, kriyas, and much more!

You will learn about professional ethics and how to earn a living worldwide from sharing yoga with others in your community and abroad, how to create a business plan for your yoga studio and massage practice. This training will show you how to be a yoga teacher and massage practitioner starting from day one. You will be practicing one-on-one with your peers and teachers throughout the course. Essentially, you will be practicing how to be a teacher and practice to teach what you have learned starting from the first day of training.

REQUIREMENTS

This yoga teacher training is suitable for all levels. Everyone is welcome but a year of yoga practice is highly recommended in Ashtanga or Vinyasa.

Prices will go up by 100 Euro after the 10th November.

Accommodations

They offer 14 comfortable beach huts, five rooms on the first floor of a stone house and three ground floor stone rooms in different categories. The huts are all just a few steps from the beach and a few of the accommodations have the ocean view. They have a beachfront restaurant offering great food, a yoga shala for your daily practice, and offer free Wi-Fi access.

Directions

We can provide a shared ride service with other students & teachers from Dabolim , Goa international airport pick-up for you to take you to the venue.

Please note that if you are traveling alone, Bend it like Buddha Yoga can match you with someone of the same sex who is also traveling alone.
