About us

Looking at the Roots of our Addictive/self-destructive behaviors

The Yoga of Recovery is an invitation to undertake heartfelt self-reflection about the addictive processes that you experience in your life. You will be intimately guided to use science, yoga, and spirituality for your unique recovery process.

Gain tools from yoga and Ayurveda for profound healing of self-destructive habits and addictive personalities. Explore how these ancient sciences can help you deepen your connection with yourself and choose new behaviors out of self-love.

Learn emotional regulation, self-soothing techniques, and deep relaxation. Participate in group sharing and discussions, and attend optional 12-step meetings. Explore your own addictive behaviors and heal them at the root level.

We require alcohol/chemically dependent guests to have at least three months of continuous sobriety. Those with eating disorders and behavioral addictions (relationships, gambling, spending etc.) should have enough stability to embark on this particular work.

This retreat is part of a longer, in-depth certification program suitable for professionals and coaches who work with those on journeys of recovery.

Please note Durga Leela is also offering Yoga of Recovery: Between the Mat and the Meeting June 9 – 16, 2019. You can register for both Yoga of Recovery programs for $1,200 total tuition.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Mind training for post-retreat life! Renate

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
