Set within 5 acres of its own well kept grounds, The Manor dates back to 1181 when it was founded as part of The Priory of St Gregory. It is very quirky, traditional and full of charm and character.
This is the 3rd time in a row we have chosen this venue to host our Yoga retreat because of the wonderful staff, great food and fantastic hospitality we receive.
All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, TV, and are ensuite with either a shower and/or bath and toilet. It really is a home from home environment.
The rooms are basic but cosy, clean and comfy.
All meals will be vegetarian and prepared by Howfield Manor’s resident Chef.
We will have exclusive use of 2 separate rooms for Yoga classes within the hotel for the weekend and our own dining area.

The above price is per person and includes:
- 2 nights ensuite accommodation
- Light breakfast on Saturday and Sunday (includes fruit, yogurt, cereals, teas/coffee/fruit juices)
- Buffet brunch on Saturday and Sunday
- Buffet dinner on Friday and Saturday (includes a starter, a choice of mains and desserts)
- Teas/coffee/juice throughout your stay.
- x5 Yoga classes, plus Yoga nidra, meditation and relaxation sessions.
All rooms will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. To secure a place, you will need to complete a booking form (please email us to request a form) and return to Sophie @ The Studio SE6 via email, post or by hand, along with full payment. This can be paid by bank transfer, cheque or cash. The booking form will include details of how to pay and when the balance will be due, aswell as our cancellation policy.
- Aside from the whole group Yoga classes offered on this retreat, on Saturday and Sunday we offer a choice of 2 classes that will run simultaneously. Retreaters can chose a more dynamic class or a slower paced class, making this retreat accessible for all levels.
Venue HighlightsThe venue is only 2 miles from the beautiful and historic city of Canterbury and only 1hr 15mins drive from SE London. The Manor is also very near to Canterbury East & West rail stations.

Friday 9th November – Arrival from 4pm
6.00pm – 7.00pm – whole group / chill out Yoga class
7.00pm- 7.30pm – Welcome drink
7.30pm – 9.00pm – Buffet dinner (includes a starter, a choice of mains and desserts)
9.15pm – 9.40pm – Bedtime relaxation & meditation
Saturday 10th November
7.00am – 8.30am – Light breakfast
8.45am – 10.30am – Choice of 2 Yoga classes (gentle or more energetic)
Both classes will start with Pranayama exercises (breath work)
11.00am- 12.30pm – Buffet brunch
12.30pm – 2.30pm – Free time
2.30pm – 4.00pm – Whole group Yoga class (release & restore)
4.00pm – 5.00pm – Tea & cake around the fire pit (weather permitting)
5.15pm – 6.15pm – Whole group Yoga class
6.30pm – 8pm – Buffet dinner (Includes a starter, a choice of mains and desserts)
8.15pm – 9.00pm – Relaxation, meditation & Yoga nidra
Sunday 11th November
7.00am – 8.30am – Light breakfast
8.30am – 9.00am – Silent walk (optional)
9.15am -10.15am – Choice of 2 Yoga classes (gentle or more energetic)
10.15am – 10.30am – whole group final parting meditation.
10.30am – 11.00am – Check out (bags will be looked after by the Hotel in a secure room)
11.00am – 12.30pm – Brunch
12.30pm – Goodbyes and departure
