Day 1: All participants must arrive in Cusco, Peru. We transport everyone to the centre from our designated meeting place shared upon registration. It is important this day that a light lunch is your last meal, following the diet. We will have an introduction to the retreat this night.
Day 2: This will be the first ayahuasca ceremony day. During the retreats we practice a vow of noble silence. This is important during the retreat to help meditation and introspection. We are taking ayahuasca to go to the depths of ourselves and it is important to be conscientious of our process and the processes of those around us. All will have a consultation with the shaman this day before the ayahuasca ceremony. After the private conversations, there is a Holotropic breath work meditation lasting two hours. Then some time for rest before the ayahuasca ceremony which can last from 4-6 hours.
All of our ceremonies are guided by the shaman or shamans with Icaros and special instruments.
Day 3: We begin the day, after breakfast, with a conversation translating your experience to the shaman. From this they may analyze and guide you in where you should focus your intention for the next ceremony. Following lunch, there is a temazcal or Mayan sweat lodge, here we continue to detox your physical body. In the morning and afternoon there will be some time to meditate and absorb the wondrous surroundings until the ceremony. Ceremony will last until the late evening.
We always recommend to bring any type of journal, drawing books or spirituality/meditation oriented books which encourage healing.
Day 4: There will be a conversation with the shaman to start the day and breakfast. Each participant will have an intention to focus on with the grandfather plant San Pedro. It is a large undertaking to reset your system through plant medicines and we focus on making sure this process is gentle for your mind, body and spirit. On our vision quest with San Pedro there is guided meditation and music along the river. In the nighttime, weather permitting, we have a bonfire to finish out the day.
Day 5: Today is an important time to really focus on connecting with your spirit and giving gratitude to the earth. Using this inner strength we can connect to heal ourselves, which will be the base of our Reiki Level 1 training. It is important to have a modality we can incorporate into our daily lives. There will be an ayahuasca ceremony in the evening.
Day 6: We begin this day with ease, a filling clean breakfast and start the conversation with the shaman. You will receive the Kambo Treatment early before breakfast. This is a strong physical cleanse and for this reason, today will be a day for you to relax and integrate your experiences thus far.
Day 7: Best accompanied by rest and relaxation. We will continue to nourish our bodies and relax our minds in preparation for the ceremony. Focus today purely on yourself, enjoy being in nature, and reflect on where you are at this present moment. We may have an introduction to Yopo this evening for those who are interested in connecting with another plant spirit of the Amazons.
Day 8: We are healing with love and understanding for ourselves and others, finishing the alignment of our chakras and purification of our bodies. The optional San Pedro micro-dosing is for those looking to connect again with the plant spirit and who are interested in implementing this technique at home. This will be accompanied by a hike with our healers. At night we will have dinner as a group and a meditation.
Day 9: This is an important day to put your all into the meditations and prepare for your last meeting with mother ayahuasca ceremony before returning to your homes. For those interested, 2nd or 3rd kambo treatments will be today in the morning. In the afternoon, we will practice meditation. Before the last ceremony this evening is free time.
Day 10: We begin the day, after breakfast, with a conversation translating your experience to the shaman. Today we will close out your diet and nourish our bodies with fresh fruits and plant based meals. Following lunch, there is a temazcal or Mayan sweat lodge, for a relaxing meditation and if you would like to continue to detox your physical body. In the morning and afternoon there will be some time to meditate and absorb the wondrous surroundings.
Day 11: All will enjoy a fresh full breakfast together. We give thanks to everyone and their courage, it will be time to prepare to reintegrate our teachings into our cities and countries. The journey to the airport will have everyone there by 12:00PM.
*Retreats may be extended for those interested

At this retreat we look inwards practicing forms of meditation to connect us with ourselves and the field or life force around us. We work with plant consciousness to liberate your mind, body and spirit and complimentary shamanic practices to the teachings of ayahuasca. We use shamanic meditations from the continent to look inwards and prepare ourselves for the future. San Pedro as a compliment to bring forth a deeper healing and appreciation for the pachamama or mother earth. I've postponed writing my review of the 11-day retreat I did at Shamanic Vida in April because I wanted to be able to speak to the long-term benefits of the medicine and of the holistic healing program Chrissy and Pacco are offering. Now that it's been almost 3 months since the last ceremony, I can say without reservation that attending this retreat was among the top three best decisions I've ever made for myself. I won't go into detail about the radically positive transformations I underwent because what each person gets out of working with Ayahuasca is a very individual thing, but I know that the care that Chrissy and Pacco and all the other kind souls in their crew put into creating an optimal environment for healing and growth was an essential part of this. I also had the time of my life and was definitely not alone in that feeling :) I can only echo the sentiments of the previous reviewers about how perfect every element of it is. Pacco's heart is big enough to encompass the earth. Chrissy and Pacco are incredibly generous with their empathy, energy, and wisdom. All that you need is there, and more.

I would highly recommend Shamanic Vida. Pacco and Chrissy are simply amazing, beautiful people along with their daughter and Peruvian dog Mini. The retreat itself is set in the sacred valley close to a waterfall which is so beautiful. The rooms are really clean, comfy beds and warm showers! The food is really good which is surprising as the diet is quite limiting. They make their home feel like your home I didn’t want to leave it’s just the most peaceful place I’ve ever been! The ceremonies were perfect, everyone goes through their own journey and it’s amazing to share your experiences (if you want to) as you learn so much from everyone else. Pacco is probably the coolest guy I’ve met! He chats to you in confidence everyday to see how you are and answer any questions you have and give you guidance. Chrissy is also always available too. What was really comforting was Pacco sleeps in the Maloka so after your ayahuasca ceremony if you want to you can stay there and sleep or you can just go to your room when you want. He plays the most beautiful music during the ceremony which really helps. I must admit the hardest part is returning home and integrating what you’ve learnt you into your daily life. My advice to anyone considering doing an ayahuasca retreat is to just relax and trust in the process 🙂 I will definitely be back to Shamanic Vida when I’m ready for another life changing experience! It truely has helped me heal and I will be forever grateful. Thank you so much Chrissy and Pacco. 🙏

I did the 11 day retreat and so happy that I did! This was my first experience doing any of these plant medicines, I had no idea what to expect and yet it exceeded all expectations! My retreat included 5 Ayahuasca ceremonies, several Kambo and San Pedro experiences, I also was able to experience Rapée, Sananga, a sweat lodge ceremony, Reiki attunement, yoga, meditation, fires at night and an incredible hike up the mountain to a stunning waterfall. I felt comfortable and safe during the entire retreat. Everything was optional and no questions asked if we chose to opt out, but I felt so much healing with each modality, that I jumped at every opportunity! The place is GORGEOUS, surrounded by breathtaking mountains with a magnificent river flowing down with easy access just steps away from the rooms. There is a hot shower too, but I enjoy a rinse in the river to add another element to my healing :) Paco’s music during the ceremonies was absolutely magical. For myself, I have a challenging time surrendering but following the music and feeling it deep within my body was key to my successful journey with Mama Ayahuasca. The variety of instruments and harmonies played was not only impressive but helpful for setting the tone for my journey. The setting, the people, the vibe, everything was perfect! Looking forward to coming back!!

I love this place and the people that is making this happen. I had the best experience I could ask for. Surrounded by the magestic mountains of the Sacred Valley, the beautiful sound and views of the river. The feeling of being connected with the nature and the mother earth, the luxurious sky at night full of stars and magic feelings. The attentive care that I got from Chriss and Pacco, as the people that I met over there. I have no words cause we made music all together from deep in our souls and we let all our fears out to be able to embrace them. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I had an absolutely amazing time here! Paco was a great Shaman, his music and singing sounded other-worldly during the ceremonies. He also had a great sense of humor. I was appreciative of the small groups during the ceremonies and the consultations the next day to discuss your experiences. The volunteers were on hand to help with water, tissues and getting you to the bathroom if needed. I followed the recommended diet the best I could leading up to the retreat, I think it helped nicely to adapt to the intermittent fasting and vegetarian diet while there. I had brought along snacks just in case, but I didn't need them. The bananas here are so sweet. There was plenty of time between ceremonies, yoga, and meditation to reflect on your experiences, as well as get to know the other guests. Minny was a very cool and friendly dog! Chrissy was a wonderful host, she was quick to answer any questions and help to resolve any issues. The weather was warm during the day and quite cool at night. I would definitely go back and recommend this retreat to anyone.

After months of searching for a retreat that would provide a well rounded experience, this one stood out to me the most! This was my first visit to Shamanic Vida and it was very special. I had no idea what to expect. The time at Shamanic Vida provides lots of opportunity to try different types of plant medicines. You are in an environment where you feel safe, secure, and comfortable. The location is beautiful. It's important that when you do plant medicines that you are in a place where you can feel safe to let go, embrace, and surrender and the retreat that Chrissy and Pacco have developed is just that. They are surrounded by the most beautiful mountains with a river flowing right behind the property. It is perfect setting to feel connected to Mother Nature. It's beautiful waking up there each day, and falling asleep to the sound of the river at night. I can't say enough about the retreat that Chrissy and Pacco have developed. There is a nice calm vibe there. There is options almost every day to take part in a ceremony, or yoga, or meditation, or try different plant medicines and they also give you the space and freedom to take time to yourself to lay in the hammock, read, write, nap, or do whatever you need to rest and recharge. Chrissy and Pacco are always around to provide support and answer questions. They truly care about the people that attend the retreat and they put so much time and effort into making this retreat a scared space to heal. I would highly recommend this retreat if you need a break from the busy, fast paced life. I am easing into my second week post retreat and I feel so refreshed, calm, content and joyful. I feel so blessed to have picked this retreat as my my first retreat to attend. It has set the bar so high and has motivated me to continue to learn about plant medicines and their amazing powers! I will certainly be returning to Shamanic Vida to continue my healing. I find myself day dreaming about the mountains, the river, the beautiful backdrop and the sense of tranquility and peace that this retreat provides. Thanks again my friends, I will see you again before you know it :)

I cannot express in words how grateful I am to have met Chrissy & Pacco and for the tremendous amount of healing and personal growth that has occurred as a result of my experiences at Shamanic Vida! This past retreat, which was my third, was especially incredible. I had the privilege of bringing my family with me this time with the intention of helping my sister heal from opioid addiction. My mother and father came along, which a year ago I would've never dreamt of happening. Before arriving, Chrissy & Pacco guided us from afar to help my sister through the withdrawal period and prepare her to make the trip to Shamanic Vida. She was already in a much greater place and had made it through the acute withdrawal period. Her experience at Shamanic Vida was life-changing. She expressed being freed of her addiction halfway through the retreat and is doing extremely well three months later. She’s working, working out, smiling and social again… all things that the addiction ended up making impossible. It is the greatest gift to have my sister back and I don’t know how we could have done it without Chrissy and Pacco. I grew a lot in the process as well and look forward to my fourth visit!

I was very eager to go to an ayahuasca retreat while on my trip but didn’t know how to gauge a great one vs a bad one. Shamanic Vida got really good reviews on all the sites I saw and was in Cusco (One of the most energized places I’ve ever been) so I was very interested in them but still was hesitant. Once I got there everything changed, I could feel the beautiful atmosphere and knew I was in good hands. Between Paco, Chrissy, the volunteers & the people who were attracted to come, everyday I felt so safe, so welcomed, so nurtured and so encouraged to share myself. I gained so much from my experience here and would love to come back. Look forward to seeing the new retreat centre.

I got everything I came here for and more. This was truly life changing; from the lessons I was given via the plant medicines, the atmosphere the hosts of the retreat created, to the lifetime bonds I cultivated with everyone. Wow. Shamanic Vida felt like a second home. The set and setting was perfect, the food/diet plan had me well nourished and the small group size created a safe environment which meant proper care and attention for each participant. The atmosphere Chrissy and Pacco create in their home is inviting, warm and caring. They accept you for who you are, they don’t judge and are truly there to help in a variety of ways. They do one on one consultations in between ceremonies and take the time and space to get to know and understand you on a deeper level. I went into my first ceremony as a newcomer and thus fairy anxious but these sensations were put to ease due to the inner calmness of Pacco (the Shaman) and Chrissy. They hold a gentle space that encourages self-expression, singing and humour. Just be you and let if flow! In addition to the ceremonies there are various breathing exercises, meditations and a Temazcal Sweat Lodge that serve as such great compliments to the journey. I came in search of guidance from Ayahuasca and San Pedro. I left with just that and many many lessons from Chrissy and Pacco themselves simply as a result of the people they are. It’s two months after my retreat and I feel better mentally and physically than I ever have. I was given a path for a clearer direction in my life, a greater sense of inner trust and peace and the deeper knowledge that everything is as it should be. Overall, my advice is to go into the experience with little expectations, accept whatever comes, open yourself up to where the medicine wants to take you and trust in yourself, the Shaman and the medicine. The diet is very helpful too! I took it serious and was most certainly rewarded. Ask if you have any questions! Chrissy and Pacco have a system in place but are flexible in their approach and will make adjustments to your individual needs. I know it can be difficult choosing which path to take when making a decision like this (especially if it’s your first time) so feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions: neil.Luksys_27@hotmail.com

Words really can't describe how much love and fondness I have for Shamanic Vida, all possible of course through the experience that both Chrissy and Pacco provided. Having no idea on what to actually expect, the 5 day retreat was mind opening, exciting, humbling and heart warming. The setting was intimate, not too many people (more close knit) and was thoroughly enjoyable, especially being able to 'disconnect' from my normal world. I could not recommend this place any higher. The personal connection and guidance (on a daily basis) that the shaman (pacco) offers is truly special.

I dont have many words to justify how incredible my experience was. Love and refreshed was how i felt being at the retreat and when i left i knew i was suppose to go to this retreat without expectation or much research. pacco and chrissy are truely lightworkers and i felt safe with them at all times oraganisation of the transfers was on time and the volunteers helping made me feel Part of the family thank you so much for being apart of my healing journey

Wow, what a beautiful and loving experience. Right from the get go I knew these guys were going to be family. My initial contact was Chrissy via email. She answered all of my queries very quickly and there were a few :) The booking process was simple and I felt at ease. They had a driver pick me up from Pisac which is a town near by. I was met with open arms by Chrissy and her little baby Liana. We were shown to our rooms and given time to introduce ourselves and settle in. Pacco (shaman) introduced himself and gave us all a hug you could feel the love. They really know how to settle any nerves you have. I stayed for the 11 day retreat and I did not want to leave, it felt like home to me. The ceremonies/meditations were beautifully guided and they were both there to help you when needed. Pacco and Chrissy are always around if you need to chat and always give you the time of day if you need it. Consultations are given after every ayahuasca ceremony to help you process the journey. Meals are based on the ayahuasca diet and give you enough sustenance to endure what the day brings. The place is set in the sacred valley with a river close by. Accommodations are basic and you have everything you need. I have been home two weeks now and have had a few questions regarding my integration Chrissy and Pacco have both answered them without delay which has helped me immensely. If you want a retreat where you actually see and can talk to your shaman on a daily basis and you want people that sincerely care about your health and well-being then Shamanic Vida is the place to go to. I am heading back in 6months time and am taking my son that’s how much I trust them :)

My experience with Paco and Chrissy was beautiful in each stage that I shared with them, I started volunteering about two weeks before my ayahuasca experience. They received me in a spectacular and very loving way, being always attentive to the needs as I felt. They approached the treatment always with a lot of respect, attention and love. In turn, the location in the sacred valley is a beautiful place, with a very special energy and incredible landscapes. When I had the opportunity to share with them the ceremony of Ayahuasca, an experience that was wonderful. I felt very calm since both Paco and Chrissy told me that I was going to be all right, and that was true. I recommend this place fully, mainly because they take the task they perform with a lot of love and respect. They are aware and prioritize the fact that what they do helps people so much, either to know themselves or to release some ties.

I waited for a month to write this review because I wanted to see how the experience translated into positive change. I have spent over a decade attending ‘retreats’ all over the world seeking to be ‘fixed’. Never have I ever come so close after spending 6 days with Shamanic Vida. Paco and Chrissy are true healers so interested and aware of your needs. Even while working with someone like myself who has difficulty expressing anything, I felt able to open myself completely. The space they hold makes you feel so safe and supported. The difficulties I experienced prior to coming have not disappeared nor will they ever but the way I cope and feel every day is so different, no longer resisting but accepting of the energies and circumstances around me. I will return to Shamanic Vida whenever possible. I feel so blessed to have found them and to have them in my life.

This was my first trip to Peru. We spent 4 days hiking then arrived at shamanic vida for a 6 day retreat a little tired no knowing what to expect. From the moment we arrived Pacco and Chrissy were very welcoming and the volunteers were all great people. We sat around the fire and got to know everyone before an early night. The experience with the ayahuasca was really great for me. It was my first time and it really helped me release so much stuff I'd been hanging onto. Words can explain the feelings I had during the ceremonies. Pacco playing his music was beautiful and everyone was very supportive of each other. Was really magical! I would highly recommend Shamanic vida to anyone interested in plant medicine or looking to better themselves. Pacco and Chrissy are very experienced at what they do and I'm so grateful to have shared that with them. We have made some life long friendship's also. Thanks again. Happy travels to you all!

This was my first time to Peru (it is a beautifully charming and spiritual place) and my first experience with Mama Ayahuasca and other sacred plant healers...or anything even remotely close! I had never dabbled with any recreational drugs or healing medicines of this kind before. But following a conversation with a close friend, I suddenly felt a real, heartfelt calling to be open to the healing power of these plant medicines and, though it was one of the most challenging things I've done, I am incredibly happy that I followed my instinct. I was there for 11 days but even the 6 days is incredibly intense. It is not a magical cure that will wash over you as you lounge back - it's work and it's tough! You are a warrior out there. This is not to put you off at all - because with this bravery, openness, flow, discipline, respect, you allow yourself the opportunity to heal and grow profoundly, however subtle. As Angel said below (just read his review) - we crossed paths on our retreats for his 6 days and he was a truly beautiful soul to share the start of my experience with - though it can be for some people, it's not always huge, magical transformations. For me, it was the same... I was aware of healing taking place and know in my heart that small shifts have happened... but time will reveal how this all unfolds for me. The journey can be quite overwhelming - certainly for me on the 11-day retreat, more people came and went who weren't always quite of the same mindset in terms of vulnerability and healing which I realise affected my 'letting go' a little. I felt much more at peace when just with the people who were there with similar intentions. I shared my last few days with one other person who had been with me from the start and a new cohort of 5 retreatees and again they were all fantastic - gentle, supportive, there with similar motivation. I could have stayed longer with this group for sure. Something I didn't think I'd be saying halfway through when spending yet another ceremony vomiting! Yeps, this is a very common symptom of the plant medicines - to purge, to clear... But everyone reacts differently - including yourself from one ceremony to another - so, hard though it is, try not to have expectation. Paco will repeat this time and time again! And rest assured, should it be uncomfortable, that it passes... and healing is taking place... all is good... Chrissy and Paco are wonderful and I speak so highly of them. Chrissy is incredibly professional - she is pragmatic and has things running smoothly and efficiently - and she is also a wonderful listener who gives you time, really hears you and takes on board exactly what you're saying. She is helpful and accommodating, cares about the process and your stay there, and as a Reiki master and spiritual reader, is also very intuitive, connected and a beautiful healer herself. Paco is a genuinely incredible shaman... so connected, inspiring and wise, and such a joyous bundle of warmth, love and playfulness! :) Like Chrissy, he is a fabulous and generous listener and is wonderfully patient. He is an approachable, experienced and enlightened teacher and leads the ceremonies emanating his beautiful spirituality, gratitude and love for life, this Universe and Mother Earth - including, of course, the utmost respect he has for the sacred healing plants he works so gently with. I could not have wished for a better, more knowledgeable, more loving shaman to guide me and I know I'm not alone in this thinking! Paco and Chrissy are truly authentic in what they do, care deeply about your journey and, despite the challenges you may face along the way, I can almost guarantee they'll make you smile :) You are in safe and caring hands, and hearts... and if unsure of anything, just ask! Go with an open mind and heart...and see how your journey unfolds... I would not hesitate to recommend Shamanic Vida. Plus they have Minnie the Inca dog and a wee pup they saved to open your hearts even further! Enjoy... With love and respect :) xxx

It was perfect. Travelling to South America for the first time, and never having attended a retreat such as this before, my heart was full of trepidation in anticipation of where I was going and what I was doing. I felt strongly drawn to this retreat centre though, and to Pacco and Chrissy. And my instincts were right. I felt a great connection to both Chrissy and Pacco, and a great trust for them immediately, and this only grew as I was guided through my three Ayahuasca ceremonies. I feel that they both gave me everything that I needed at exactly the time I needed it, as did Mother Ayahuasca, and the other medicines, ceremonies and lessons that were integrated into the experience. I could not have felt more safe and cared for during my time there. I was with a brilliant group of beautiful people, the surrounding scenery is breath-taking, and the accommodation comfy and ideally suited to the experience. The food (once the fasts were broken) was amazing, and I felt like I was tasting things for the first time again. I feel much less fearful now, and more peaceful. I am continuing with a vegan diet, my taste buds refreshed, as are my other senses, I hope to continue living in this clearer, more focused mind, body and soul that was realised through the cleansing I experienced with Shamanic Vida. I do, and have been recommending this retreat to all, I would love to come back with a few friends next time. I really can not imagine using these plant medicines under the guidance of any other shaman, such is the trust, respect and love I feel for Pacco and Chrissy, and I know that I will return to continue my journey with them and with Mother Ayahuasca. Thank you Pachamama.

I did quite a bit of research before settling on Shamanic Vida for my first Ayahuasca retreat. I just returned home from 11 days there, and my good feelings about Shamanic Vida going into the retreat were more then validated by my experience. The location is incredibly beautiful and safe, Chrissy and Pacco are two of the most understanding and caring people I've met, the plant medicine is powerful, and the overall environment for healing and growth is ideal. If I or anybody close to me needs an opportunity to recover from trauma, or re-center and remember what's important, it's comforting to know that Shamanic Vida is there. My time there was more healing and fruitful than I could have imagined, and I'll be forever grateful to Pacco and Chrissy and what the work they do at Shamanic Vida.

This review is long overdue, but well deserved. My 2nd retreat at Shamanic Vida was in April and I have fond memories of that experience daily. In all, I have been blessed with 8 ceremonies with Pacco and Chrissy, each one different... each one revealed something insightful, exciting, or a hidden aspect of my character that I learned from and grew as a human being. I feel so fortunate & blessed that the universe led me to Shamanic Vida. Small group setting is preferable to me, and individual counseling with the ceremony shaman truly beneficial to understanding the lessons of Pachamama. Cleansing the body and the spirit in the Sacred Valley, I am a better person because of Shamanic Vida, and I will be eternally thankful to my friends Pacco and Chrissy.

Hello everyone! I recently returned from my 6 day stay at Shamanic Vida. I had never been to Peru before and I was very nervous once my plane landed. However as soon as I arrived to the center and met Chrissy and Paco all that went away. Their warm and loving energy just beamed out from them and made me feel instantly comfortable. The place is so cozy and has the most breath taking views. I took so many pictures but the pictures just can not capture the intense beautiful nature that surrounds the retreat center. There is a short walk to a town and an even shorter walk to a super cute restaurant with WiFi. The rooms were very clean and well kept, and the beds were fairly comfortable. I felt like I had the comforts of home and my own space during my stay. I never felt unsafe or uncared for at all while I was there. Now let me tell you about the ceremonies. During my stay I participated in 2 Ayahuasca Ceremonies and 1 San Pedro Ceremony. The Ayahuasca ceremonies where not what I expected, they were so much more beautiful than expected. My 1st Aya ceremony there was mostly getting reacquainted with the medicine. However my 2nd ceremony was so incredibly transformative. It was quick and I actually got to see Paco's magic at work. I was able to sit up and watch what an amazing Shaman he is. I was in awe! Everything that he does to prepare for an Icaro is like that of a Shaman who has been doing this for 50 years. Simply Amazing!! The SP ceremony was wonderful and beautiful. We went on a walk and sat by the nearby river and Paco played Guitar and Flute and we all just hung out and enjoyed each other company. It was the perfect addition to all the inner work that was happening during the Aya Ceremonies. After each ceremony we had an short (or long) meeting with Chrissy and Paco to integrate our experience. They would have spent an hour or more with each person if they needed it. The love and care they put into each person to help them with their experience is just beautiful! My life has forever been changed by my stay at Shamanic Vida! I feel that I have made lifelong friendships with Paco and Chrissy and will definitely return to their center again some day (hopefully soon)! I will be recommending this center to anyone and everyone I come across that is interested in participating in Ceremonies in The Sacred Valley of Cusco!

My experience at Shamanic Vida was truly paradigm shifting. Initially I was nervous as I did not know what to expect from my very first retreat. The down-to-earthness of that of the whole retreat in the powerful Sacred Valley as well as Pacco and Chrissy made me feel at home and enabled me to focus on the medicine. This played a major factor in my experience. From the hospitality to the food, this retreat is one I will return to many a time in the near future. Thank you, Pacco and Chrissy, thank you for what you do here. I will return that is for a fact. I cannot recommend this retreat more. If you are new to Ayahuasca then this retreat is the one for you.

I just did the 6 day retreat at Shamanic Vida. It was a wonderful experience. Paco & Chrissy are very welcoming and they honestly care about you. They want to make sure you get the most of your experience. Just love them.

I had a wonderful time at Shamanic Vida. The venue is lovely. The scenery is beautiful and the people are amazing. I had a good time at the 6-day retreat because I was able to get the detoxing and spiritual cleanse I needed through various forms if healing modalities such as ayahuasca, reiki, temezcal (sweat lodge), san pedro and meditation. It was wonderful because all the resources were there. The place was comfortable and I shared a room with one person. Water bottles were provided. I ended up sleeping in the teepee after each ceremony anyway under the rain and with the sounds of crickets. I woke up to birds chirping and humming birds flying. The place has a balanced energy and I loved that Pacco, the shaman, is so down to earth like the medicine. He was a great leader through ceremonies and preparing food. Chrissy was also very prompt with my questions about the ceremony. I was really hesitant about the whole thing, but after getting to know them, I felt I could trust them. They were very patient with me. I always imagined going to an older shaman, but Pacco was a great fit for me because he has the passion of an artist and this allowed me to fly and spread my wings. He was very attentive and always came to see how I was doing. Thank you Pacco, Chrissy and all at the center for being a highlight of my Peru trip.

I was an older woman traveling alone, it was important that It felt safe. From the moment I arrived I knew my soul was home :) For me the experience was Intellectual not so much emotional. I had lived an emotional life trapped in the story. I was shown the truth beyond the emotions, the truth of life, of existence. The emotional story isn’t my truth, the “Isness”, is my story and I was able to see it, meet it and join it. “I am” the way the truth and the light We all are 🙏 Namaste and Thank you

I am writing this review from the perspective of someone who has taken ayahuasca for the first time, and as such have no basis for comparison as to what this experience would be like at a different retreat center. But here are some of the reasons why I decided to go with Shamanic Vida, what the experience was like, and why I would choose to journey deeper into the medicine with Pacco and Chrissy: Choosing a retreat to experience your first journey into ayahuasca is not a light decision to make. I literally read almost every review for every place on both retreat guru and aya advisors before deciding to go with Shamanic Vida. All the positive reviews, a strong recommendation from a friend who had previously taken the medicine with them, and a personal phone call with Chrissy wherein she addressed all of my concerns, solidified my decision to go with Shamanic Vida. I knew that I was going to be in a safe space under the guidance of experienced and compassionate healers. And wow… all I can say is what a profound, wonderful, amazing, and beautiful life-changing experience this was! Shamanic Vida far exceeded all my expectations. I had come to Shamanic Vida as a last resort after going through a year of depression, feelings of life lacking meaning and purpose, and just a lot of sadness and discontent (largely due to a series of major life events in 2017). Pacco and Chrissy showed me so much kindness, care, and compassion throughout the journey. They helped me to feel safe during the ceremonies, especially on a night when I was having a difficult experience. Pacco’s icaros helped guide me through the journey. They are so powerful (they are on YouTube and Facebook) and even now I stalk their videos just to listen because it gives me so much peace and literally pulls at my heart strings. After the ceremonies, we had one on one consultations which helped me to internalize and process my realizations. I also got to experience other healing medicines like San Pedro, rape, and kambo, as well as a temazcal ceremony. It’s amazing how all of these things complement each other! The holistic approach in which the retreat was structured and the way everything was so well integrated, contributed a lot to my healing experience. This review barely scratches the surface… there are other things too… the yoga classes, being surrounded by nature, Minnie (she is such a sweet and loving creature), the delicious food, the people I met… everything! They’ve created such a safe and beautiful space for people who wish to journey into ayahuasca or explore other healing medicines that I would choose Shamanic Vida again, should I ever feel compelled to journey deeper and find myself in Peru. Some tips… - It’s ok to have a list of intentions, but what I’ve discovered is that oftentimes the medicine will give you what you need and not necessarily what you ask for - If you are struggling with something internally or had a tough experience, take advantage of the one on one sessions with Pacco and Chrissy as they will really help internalize the learnings you get with the medicine - I think the healing doesn’t end when you leave the retreat center, I am constantly discovering new things about myself and having moments of insight and revelation, it’s good to know that I can contact Pacco and Chrissy at any time, especially when integration back into daily life can be difficult - Also, while its tempting to ask about what others experienced and what their vision looked like, remember that yours will bound to be unique, just as you are unique…so be open to expecting the unexpected! If you’d like to learn more or have questions about my experience (again everyone’s is different!) my email is Advincula.email@example.com

I just spent 11 incredible days learning and growing at Shamanic Vida. I arrived with no experience in plant healing. I saw other reviews and decided Shamanic Vida was the place I wanted to make this journey. And it was honestly the best decision I have ever made. I cannot say enough positive things about both Pacco and Chrissy, they are truly amazing people that not only help you grow and experience this wonderful medicine but make you feel so at home and comfortable during the process. Those 11 days were so transformative – mind, body and soul have never felt so clear and alive. Experiencing San Pedro, Ayahuasca and Kambo have truly made an impact on my life and have me more positive for the future. If you’re looking for a retreat this is honestly the place. You will have an amazing experience and I personally can’t wait to go back.

My first ayahuasca journey was at Shamanic Vida and I felt safe and well taken care of at all times. Pacco and Chrissy were great and the location was beautiful and peaceful. Very personal with good food and basic clean accommodation. Thanks a lot and I hope to be back at some point down the road.

I have total trust in Paco and Chrissy and felt like I was in excellent hands. This aspect of trust is so important because the medicine and the ceremony is powerful and there cannot be any doubt about the intentions of the shamans and facilitators. Staying here was a magical experience; the atmosphere is totally serene and chill. I would highly recommend Shamanic Vida to anyone who is interested in shamanic healing. My own experience was profound and I was beamed into the spirit world. Now I am integrating the experience which is still pretty fresh. I am sleeping much better at night and spiritually I feel as if I am now going through a gradual, but steady waking up progress.

I've been home for a week and I am ready to go back. The 11 day retreat with Chrissy and Paqo & Mini was, for me, unique, enlightening and trans-formative. Being my first experience with the medicine, I truly feel that the small group environment was the perfect fit for me. On several of the 5 ceremonies, I was attended to by Paqo and Chrissy in just the right manner to assist & guide me through the experience. Everyone's journey is different, & Shaman Paqo is a master at observing and reading the situation. Water is the key, yes, the water has reason... right Paqo? ;-) The lessons I learned and deep introspection I gained are invaluable. Most beneficial was the conversation with the ShamanicVida team the next morning to explore the lessons that the medicine were trying to show me. The meditation techniques I learned from Chrissy helped my frame of mind and I will continue to explore more into it, along with the rape'. By the end of the retreat, the bond between the ShamanicVida team, my fellow guests, and I was very tight, something else I will cherish from the experience. I am grateful that the universe lead me to ShamanicVida.

I just spent 11 incredible days learning, growing, connecting and awakening at Shamanic Vida—it was the most life-invigorating thing I’ve ever done. I feel reborn, full of love and light, and enthusiastic beyond belief! I arrived with little experience in master plant healing—just one Ayahuasca ceremony. I was drawn to Shamanic Vida because of wonderful reviews, their holistic approach to healing and the opportunity to experience a variety of plant medicines and meditation/healing techniques (ie. Rapé, San Pedro, Kambo, & Yopo.) The experience was more than I could have ever hoped for! Chrissy, and the shaman, Pacco, have created an incredibly nurturing environment for healing. I immediately felt at home, and by the end, part of the tribe, which is imperative because this type of therapy can be very challenging, mentally and physically. This was the most transformative week of my life—mentally, physically and spiritually. I realized the tremendous capacity I have to bring love and light into this world and I am enthusiastic to put this inspired energy into my renewed life back home. My mind is clearer than ever, my confidence has never been stronger, and I have a sense of purpose and fearlessness that I’ve never felt before. I am incredibly grateful for all of the pleasant surprises as well: my body is much leaner and energetic, I feel an unexpected aversion to alcohol and unhealthy foods, and I am eager to learn just about everything—something I haven’t felt since I was a child. I am incredibly grateful for Chrissy and Pacco and look forward to coming back for more healing soon!

The experience was more than I could of hoped for. I have been waiting to go for three years and finally worked up the courage recently. Pako is a gifted shaman and his counsel during difficult times was reassuring. The staffmade sure we were cared for and comfortable the entire time. I really felt safe and that was important to me. Thinking of the songs they sang warms my heart and I am just grateful for my time there. I work in allopathic medicine, but have come to a stand still with the treatment available to me. The months before I coming I consulted with my doctor and Chrissy about getting off of my meds to take ayahuasca. I was grateful to communicate with her and she really understood the process. After suffering for some years from depression and I knew I have to do something, life was becoming less and less joyous. The benefits I have recieved from this treatment I do not think I could of gotten anywhere else. Honestly, even in five years of therapy, I doubt I could feel this good. Now I feel like I have the calm and power to go where I need to in the next big steps I am taking in life and attract positive people because I am positive. My friend recommended I come here and I am so glad they did, I am passing on this recommendation to find time to go to peru and see shamanic vida for yourself, your spirit will thank you!

It took me some time to write a review, my apologizes shamanic vida! There are so many good things I can say about my experience before, during and after. For my first ayahuasca experience I had a plethora of questions and they were honest and kind through our e-mails and did not make me feel less "enlightened" for having the questions I did. When I arrived to cusco, they briefed me on options if I wanted to relax or walk around, what the airport would be like and travel times. It was nice not to jump into another country where you do not speak the language and be taken by suprise at every angle. Once we met up I felt completely at ease with everything like my alpha brain waves kicked in by being at the center. The retreats were relaxing yet I made a ton of personal progress. And I wont get too much into that, but it is fair to say I left a healed more centered and conscious person after 6 days. The assistants, the shaman paco all of them were amazing. I will plan on doing a retreat like this, for myself, again. It was a very positive experience for me, I came looking for answers and I got them. This retreat is trustworthy and superb in their consideration and care.

Having spent over 6 months researching where I wanted to take ayahuasca, I knew I chose the right place when I arrived in Tarpoto to the retreat center. The location is the perfect place to connect with nature. There is amble space for stretching, laying out in the sun, swimming and hanging around in a hammock. The grounds were well kept. My shaman Efren is an inspiration, he is doing so much for the people in the community as well as the plant itself (ayahuasca). Him and the other shaman pacco were amazing to listen to, their icaros blending together in my last ceremony, it was beyond special for me. I want to live at the retreat center, it was so good for me. I feel like my hand is always a magnet for my iphone and having it cut off I thought I might go crazy, but it really, along with the ayahuasca did something that is so amazing for me it is beyond words. There was down time, but I learned how to just "be" in the down time, it helped they did guided meditation to get us beginners started. Without a doubt I hope to return and will continue to practice what I have learned.

When I decided to come to the jungle to drink the ayahuasca medicine I was very worried how it would work out. I knew once we spoke among friends and from watching documentaries this medicine could be for me. The first ceremony I participated in was very difficult for me. I wanted to almost leave right at the finish. I did not leave and stayed 4 more days. The people working helped me very much. The talk I had with the shaman helped me to have more strength to take more ayahuasca medicine. It was only the first one was so much information for me. To be in the jungle was breathetaking so many butterflies and it smelled just fresh all the time. The rooms gave you enough privacy and for me this was very important. Eating was good not too special but we did have some different fruits with interesting flavors. Now I have been back, I feel this was a beautiful change in my life. The bumpy roads I was on with my family are now better. I am living in harmony and peace. This is something I did not think was possible for me at a time in my life. Everything in my life is better I know. It is hard work the people there do but it is a good work. they are always smiling and considering the people around them. The shaman is a wiseman and I could feel he was guiding me on my healings he gave me an herb to take home for tea to help me when I need to find my peace.

I spent some days in the beautiful jungle of Perú after a long year living in Oklahoma. I came back renewed and with plenty of energy to move back to Spain and start from scratch. Pacco is a wise chaman who shares his knowledge and his medicine with love and compassion. I'm feeling thankfull and wish to come back some day.

If you are ready to do Ayahuasca, choose Shamic Vida now. You can thank me later. You will be picked up from the aiport, escorted over to the deep jungle (complete with tribes members dancing around a campfire with boas around their necks and feather on their heads), pampered, slapped across the face with love by Mother Ayauasca, pampered some more and you will have the most profound trip in your life. This is all coming from a greedy capitalist, atheist, right-wing conservative software entrepreneur who is describe by many as "the least spiritual guy ever". Spending a week with Paco literally flip my world upside down. I left the retreat feeling reborn and ready to tackle anything that comes my way. I have more compassion, positivism, and for the very first time am able to live in the moment. Friends and family all commented on how much of a changed man I am. Also, Paco and Christine are two of the kindest and most inspirational people I've ever encounter. Thank you Shamanic Vida for the amazing experience. Words cannot describe how thankful I am.

The first time I have been to Peru and done an ayahuasca retreat. I knew this would be the place for me to heal my internal emotional scars and open up my third eye to bbegin painting again. Mother ayahuasca did just that for me. I stayed quite awhile, first the five days, then I decided I had time and could do more work on my soul. Arriving in the jungle made me feel as though I had entered the garden of eden, it filled my soul. The shaman and everyone helping are pure and beautiful, they welcomed me and gave me the best care. I even got to see them cooking the ayahuasca while I was there. This made me feel at ease. The shaman leads you to know yourself in a pure way and to the worlds beyond this one guiding you in a loving manner along with the mother plant. They were professional and I have recommended my friends and family to come see them.

I may write a long review, this was a great experience. This experience has helped me grow and open myself up to my wife constructively. You guys are in good hands, they did great facilitating the ceremonies, answering my questions and coordinating. We simply enjoyed ourselves and the experience. I would like to add that no matter how many sites you read information on ayahuasca, you do not know what it is until you meet the plant spirit. During one ceremony, I felt the ayahuasca strongly and was panicked and I am not sure what the shaman did, but I could hear him singing above me and the sound of his songs brought me back into the room into a calm state. Admittedly I had played out different scenarios beforehand and it took me for an unexpected, but necessary ride. It gave me a few very symbolic situations. Most of the ceremonies were hard for me, but I came out a better man. I am thankful for the people coordinating who helped me in this sensitive state. I feel free of anger and pain I had been holding in for sometime. Trust these guys to make a big change in your life. Your life will be better for it.

I recently finished a 4 day retreat. This was my first time in Peru. I gained a new insight about myself that I will be learning from for awhile. The staff made me feel safe and looked after the whole trip, but also part of the family. The shaman Paco had a verypositive energy during the ceremonies and after. On an intutive level I felt a connection with him. He is knowledgable in plant medicines and other practices like yoga. The ayahuasca and his songs were very powerful, and traditional feeling. Accomodation was well kept and I would recommend shamanic vida to anyone looking to geniunely work with plant medicines.

A year ago I finished a retreat near Cusco. Though I enjoyed the experience, I felt it was not the whole healing experience I was hoping for. I suffer from anxiety, depression and chronic pain. Really, I had no idea of what to expect from SV, but was willing to try again and was blown away. The jungle is, I lack the words, amazing. It is too beautiful there for words. I was comfortable the whole time. Next time, I would pack less warm clothes and a few more shorts. The food was vegetarian and the chef friendly. I think the other guy who was a meat eater was enjoying it. This retreat opened up my eyes to all there is to do in mother nature. Never a dull moment. We visited the waterfalls and the ashinca communities. There was the option to stay and meditate in the gardens if that is what we wished to do. To describe the ceremonies it is difficult to do them justice. Each person morphs to their own ceremony. I can say that I felt safe in these ceremonies. Christine was there watching over us and it seems like she does not take the ayahuasca. I liked that at the SV retreat everyone was accesible and easy to talk to including our shaman Pako. This time I got to know my shaman a little and he got to know me alot. He was approachable and positive at all times. Last retreat I went we were banned from speaking to the shaman. Pako gives so much of himself to each participant, the chef was so nice and christine was really knowledgable in helping me book and make a reservation. The driver too, I do not remember his name, but he was a joy too. After the ceremonies with SV I feel like my mental health issues have finally dispurssed and all serious barriers that I had keeping me from living have broken down. When I took the medicine I could feel a tingling sensation all over my body, they told me these are called doctorzitos. Well they worked and I have been doing yoga at a center in my town and feeling very little pain since then. When you book or before, ask christine is my advice. She was great. At the retreat, ask pacco or a coordinator. Anything you are thinking, you will feel better this way and they know better how the medicine will work with you. Go to SV for a gentle introduction or continuation with ayahuasca and san pedro. If you are looking for alleviation of anxiety, depression, ptsd, exploration or anything else, go to the jungle with SV, it was more authentic and breathtaking. I am glad I came to peru again, but more glad that I chose to do a retreat with SV. Thank you guys, Jennifer

This has been one of the most positive, life-changing experiences in my life. My shaman did an excellent job of guiding me through this trip. Even though my decision to do the retreat was a last-minute decision, he tried his best to get to know me previous to the trip, he took the time to prepare me, and the whole trip was enlightening and eye-opening. So many internal, positive changes in my life resulted from this trip. I have a regained love for nature, animals, and everyone around me. I have learned to find inner peace in the middle of chaos. I cannot wait to visit him in Peru and have another beautiful experience.

I loved my stay here! I had to cut it short for work, but fortunately I am going to come back to Peru and do some more ceremonies with them. It was such a powerful experience. I recommend it if you are seeking a real retreat and healing experience with kind and compassionate people. They make you feel at home and are full of positive calm energy. The facility is simple and beautiful, it has everything you need. And everyone was so peaceful and nuturing. I dreamed of Chris before I came, it was like it was meant to be I was connecting before I ever got there. I really liked that it is not like so many other places bred for only the ayahuasca tourism, everything was auuthentic. They offer a great service and when I had trouble connecting with the medicine the first time, they gave me an extra ceremony to make sure I left having connected. I am so grateful for that. The small attention to details really makes a large difference and being so conscientious of the people at the retreat. Marvelous job, I cannot wait to return,. I woke up today feeling like a new me and it is because of this experience.

When I met Pacco and Chris they picked me up just out of Benito Juarez airport. We then took traveled for 1h or so to their small, homey, hacienda in Zumpango; where also lived an adorable Xoloscuintle : Mini. In the course of my 5 days I was treated as an equal and no bad energies ever were emitted by either of them. During the days, I was left to my self so as to concentrate, meditate and to canalise my learnings. This is excluding lunch and yoga sessions. When night was in full blossom, one of the them, and sometime mini too, would come and get me; and together we made our way to the ceremony area. The ceremonies, three of them, were done in traditional Shipibo tradition; with Ayahuasca originating and brewed in the Peruvian amazon -- by Pacco himself. When difficult passages would arise I would be taken care of; physically, emotional, psychically and spiritually. The Icaros sung by the Shaman were ones of incredible familiarity to the deepest part of my being. Its powers are true. The medicine showed me many facets of my being and worked through me a plane at a time. Indeed, the first night I had no visions of which I would define as such; but a great healing took part in me on the physical plane. The following night my heart was effected. The ultimate night my totality was overtook: it was powerful, frightful, fruitful, cleansing and loving. Moreover, I also underwent a SanPedro experience; which in combination with Ayahuasca- on a separate day- greatly helped me get in tune with myself, and align this self with mother earth, and, the divine manifestation of which the Earth, our breaths and all is part of. I have no hesitation in recommending this healing center to anyone to who hears the call of Mother Ayahuasca. Peace and love upon all them who read these words. Namaste.

The family at Shamanic Vida will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we plan on returning at least once a year if we can. To start with, Chris was spectacular in corresponding with me before our trip as I was full of questions! My brother and I stayed for 8 days in March 16’. The accommodations were simple, everything was clean and the food was fresh. The setting was a peaceful haven to experience the life changing process of ayahuasca. Not to mention the san pedro journey which was quite nice on our day of rest. The staff was genuine with us and between themselves. We are beyond grateful for their support and their love for their job. It was clear they had our best interest at heart from the start and this is the type of attention that makes all the difference. We will be back. Namaste and blessings - Ren and Jaime

My journey with the Ayahuasca medicine began many years ago.Whilst listening to one of my favorite podcasters, I was introduced to the medicine for the very first time. Needless to say the experiences that were shared by countless of individuals left me completely amazed that such a medicine and conduit to one’s inner spirit actually existed. Coming from a spiritual background I was well versed in the concept of self-introspection and was always quite comfortable with my relationship with the “universe” or what have you. Being the quintessential soul searcher that I am, I was always eager and curious to further explore myself in an attempt to slay some of the demons and traumas that have plagued me for many years. I was told that when Mother Aya calls you, it’s simply your time and I did indeed feel such a pull as my retreat planning was surprisingly a swift one. I had done much research on different retreats but it only when I found ShamanicVida, that my intuition rang and I knew this was the retreat for me. Obviously I was quite nervous by the whole idea of hopping on a plane for the weekend to drink some “magic” potion but I pushed forward anyway as the concept of not exploring was scarier than anything else including the experiences I had heard of. I knew I was ready. I knew it was time to restore my faith, face my demons and make a move to step towards the most evolved version of myself to date. My intentions were not limited to myself but also for all of those around me who also might not have been exposed to the best version of me. From the moment I woke up and got dressed waiting for Christine and Paco to collect me, I was very extremely excited! The nerves were gone. Before I knew it, I was together with Christine and Paco and my journey was well underway. Both Paco and Christine, gave me such a sense of serenity and comfort the likes of which is rare of people you just meet. Another indication that I was in good hands. The drive to the retreat was a pleasant one where conversations of Aya, other medicines, psychology, philosophy and history showed me that both Christine and Paco were very well read and extremely knowledgeable in their craft and with people of all types in general. I’m very careful with sharing the specific details of my journey and relationship with Mother Aya but I can say that the introduction to and the methodology, practice and execution could not have been any better as very soon thereafter my first ceremony, I had conquered so much more than I ever imagined. I couldn’t believe how easily and lovingly my mission was accomplished. I can’t thank ShamanicVida enough for their gentle guidance and mastery, all of which has finally enabled a deeper recognition of my own spirit and of those of everyone around me. I would gladly recommend ShamanicVida to any and everyone who is seeking a gentle and legitimate introduction to the Mother spirit. With Love, Pavan Seth
