About This Event

To expand our minds and come to greater understanding of our true selves, is the basis for our six day retreat. Everything is an interwoven journey in Peruvian shamanism and during the ayahuasca retreat. We practice different meditations from the continent to balance the mind, feel centered and connect to a higher level of conciousness. We prepare participants to communicate with the consciousness of the plant spirits, liberate themselves, help them return to their true paths and release any traumas or negative thought patterns. During the entire experience our compassionate shaman, healers and the assistants will be there to keep the space sacred and most importantly, safe. San Pedro (wachuma) is the masculine energy to the ayahuasca female energy and compliments the healing experience of the ayahuasca. We have also incorporated yopo therapy for those interested, to deepen the healing, while it also ensures anyone who has trouble entering the plant spirit world is able to do so.

Day 1: All participants must arrive in Cusco, Peru. We transport everyone to the centre from our designated location we share upon booking. It is important this day a light lunch is your last meal before 3PM, following the diet. We will have an introduction to the retreat this night lasting about two hours.

Day 2: This will be the first ayahuasca ceremony day. During the retreats we practice a vow of noble silence. This is important during the retreat to help meditation and introspection. We are taking ayahuasca to go to the depths of ourselves and it is important to be conscientious of our process and the processes of those around us. All will have a consultation with the shaman this day before the ayahuasca ceremony. In the morning we will have a light yoga class with positions to helping us adjust to the change in altitude. After the private conversations, there is a Holotropic breath work meditation lasting two hours. Then some time for rest before the ayahuasca ceremony which can last from 4-6 hours.

All of our ceremonies are guided by the shaman or shamans with Icaros and special instruments.

Day 3: We begin the day, after breakfast, with a conversation translating your experience to the shaman. From this they may analyze and guide you in where you should focus your intention for the next ceremony. Following lunch, there is a temazcal or Mayan sweat lodge, here we continue to detox your physical body. In the morning and afternoon there will be some time to meditate and absorb the wondrous surroundings until the ceremony. Ceremony will last until the late evening.

We always recommend to bring any type of journal, drawing books or spirituality/meditation oriented books which encourage healing. The centre has an art space with materials for painting, to express your visions and musical instruments for those interested.

Day 4: There will be a conversation with the shaman to start the day and breakfast. We will practice yoga to the mountains and the sun. Each participant will have an intention to focus on with the grandfather plant San Pedro. It is a large undertaking to reset your system through plant medicines and we focus on making sure this process is gentle for your mind, body and spirit. On our vision quest with San Pedro there is guided meditation and music along the river. In the nighttime, weather permitting, we have a bonfire to finish out the day.

Day 5: Today is an important time to really focus on connecting with your spirit and giving gratitude to the earth. Using this inner strength we can connect to heal ourselves, which will be the base of our Reiki Level 1 training. It is important to have a modality we can incorporate into our daily lives upon returning home. There will be an ayahuasca ceremony in the evening and as the last ceremony of the retreat an important time to reflect and connect.

Day 6: We begin this day with ease, a filling clean breakfast and start the conversation with the shaman. There will be time to ask any questions you may have. At 12:00 PM we will arrive to the airport or the city centre.

*Other arrangements may be made if you would like to stay longer, need to leave earlier in the morning, etc. Please contact us for questions.

Venue Highlights

We are located in the Sacred Valley with a 360 view of the Andes mountains surrounding the center. A two hour hike up the mountain leads visitors to an ancient Inca site. The Urubamba river runs through the valley and in front of the retreat, there is ample nature and eucalyptus trees around. For those interested, a short walk from the center are mineral pools for a hot day. Our location is a marvelous place to sit back and enjoy nature while disconnecting from the busy lives we often lead and reconnect into ourselves.

Accommodations are shared two to a room. There is the option for private rooms and rooms for couples or people traveling together. We separate the rooms between male and female. There are hot showers and shared bathrooms. We provide towels and toiletries, if needed. Outside we have various hammocks, garden spaces for yoga and meditation. The dining room is always open to enjoy tea and relax. Ceremony space is available during the day as well.
