About us

Yoga teacher training at Diya yoga - Goa designs its course keeping in mind the broader view of yoga, including philosophy, meditation, anatomy, kriya and art of teaching. Our main focus is to imbibe yoga in your daily life. During the 200 hours TTC, we help you to become a confident yoga teacher. Through this course we support individuality, guiding you to give a personal touch to the class during training. Our 200 Hour Multistyle Yoga Teacher Training is very flexible, we don’t force any dogmatic ideas or beliefs to our students. With this yoga teacher certification you can be registered to yoga alliance, which will give you the opportunity to work all around the world. We also support the students who studied our hatha yoga teacher training to assist in courses if they like to practice more. 

Asana 

During the Yoga Teacher Training, our main focus is on basic aasanas. We aim to practice with patience and awareness of alignment early in the morning. To bring balance in physical body, looking at personal anatomy, observing individual practice, we give supportive input to improve the postures and alignments. Bringing mindfulness to the posture and using the power of gravity, making it more beneficial for healthy living.

We teach, Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative and Iyenger style during this course.

Pranayama

Breathing is Life. Due to stress and tension, many of us create dysfunctional breathing patterns. Working on different Pranayama practices, relaxes the muscle of respiratory system, supplying oxygen to all the body parts and mind, creating a right way of breathing for physical and mental health. It is also important to have correct breathing pattern during asana practice.

Philosophy 

We are a non-dogmatic yoga school, starting from yoga history, we teach eight limbs of yoga sutra by Patanjali. It's more like discussion and teaching on philosophy of yoga, explaining three gunas and wisdom of Bhagvad gita, with freedom of sharing individual point of view towards yoga. It’s basicaplementing yoga not only on the mat but in our daily life for a balanced and healthy living.

Meditation 

During this Yoga TTC course we have classes on different meditations. Meditation not only helps us improve our breathing pattern but also helps us be patient and calm in our lives. We give training on active, passive and analytic meditation, encouraging everyone to try every kind of meditation and then decide what is right for them to use in their daily life. 

Anatomy

During 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, you learn the physiology and anatomy of body structure, understanding different body parts, how in each asana different stretch happens and how it affects our body. This anatomy training makes us aware of our body parts without dissecting them. It gives a better understanding of our body and our body parts, so that we start living a better life.

Yogic Anatomy

In the yogic anatomy training, you will be taught how to understand your body and how to attain control over your body parts. This Yoga teacher training helps you understand the energy of your body, detailed explanation of chakra, Nadis and Koshas, with practical examples and experience are shown. There are kinds of meditation where you can work on your yogic anatomy. 

Art Of Teaching

In our yoga teacher training methodology, we encourage students to observe the responsibilities of a yoga teacher. We explain ethics, values and encourage them to see how we involve everyone during the class, grow interest amongst them, and how we take care of every one. We guide them about the steps to set up a yoga business and what mistakes should be avoided while setting it up.

Practicum

During practicum, students learn to teach each other in small groups’ asana class under observation of the teacher, so their fear of teaching disappears during the yoga teacher training. As practice makes a man perfect, their practice starts in the school itself. This boosts their confidence and makes them ready to give training/classes by the end of yoga TTC.

Alignment

This is a very important subject, where you are explained about each asana, details are given about many kind of adjustments, when to have verbal, or physical adjustment, and where to focus during the class, how to deal with student who has physical pain, and what kind of pain has to be completely avoided. These important aspects are thoroughly taught in this subject.
