Details of this retreat
Imagine a space where science meets spirituality, where your body becomes a conduit for divine wisdom, and where every breath draws you closer to the essence of your being. Embark on a profound journey of self-discovery and spiritual awakening through the practice of BioSpiritual Focusing.
“When you seek me, you will find me. Seek me with all your heart.
I am in the story you are living and you will find me there.”
Bits of Light and Grace, Kathy Sherman, CSJ
This workshop is an overview and introduction to the history and practice of BioSpiritual Focusing. Through prayer, presentations, experiential exercises, reflection, and discussion, you will become more aware of your own sacred story and the movement of God in your life. You will deepen your connection to the One, “in whom we live and move and have our being.” No prior experience with Focusing is needed.
This workshop is a prerequisite for other BioSpiritual Focusing programs.

The retreat center is clean, quiet, and comfortable - a peaceful oasis. Everyone who works at the center was kind and helpful. The *food* is delicious. All in all, this was an absolutely wonderful place to step back from the business of life, to rest, renew and learn.

Very peaceful
I’ve been on many retreats this one at the Genesis center by far was one of the best ones I’ve been on. They had everything you could need and the food was outstanding. I will definitely come back here again.

6 day directed retreat
I have been going to Genesis since 1980. As usual, my experience was wonderful. Sr. Nancy is extremely wise and caring. I love being with her. It's also great to have liturgy twice during the week. The house is very comfortable, warm when it needs to be and very cool when necessary. The schedule and the food is great. I have no complaints. Please God I will return next summer.

Nature Companionship
As a frequent flyer in nature based retreats this was my second experience with "forest bathing". Jeannette and Simon were a powerful pair of facilitators and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Genesis as a retreat center was also very good. The staff were all very helpful and the facility exuded care and quality.
