Schedule

Morning class will begin with a gentle opening of the body and atunement of the mind to the breath. It will build into a flowing, dynamic and strengthening sequence that incorporates awareness of physical alignment, breath and the chakras (energy centres).

After the morning session, there will be an abundance of fruits and a healthy and filling breakfast. Apart from the two dhow (traditional Arabic Sailing boat) day trips to the islands, there will be several hours in the day to rest and relax, take a walk to the nearby beach, swim in the warm ocean, take a massage on the beach below or simply chill by the infinity pools.

Afternoon sessions take you on a journey through the chakras from roots to crown and may include elements of the following:

kundalini kriyas, moving meditations on the chakras, free dance movement, playful elements, drawing, group singing and harmony, mantras and chanting, alongside guided relaxations and restorative postures.

These fun yet sacred sessions are designed to heighten self awareness and free our innate creative spirit. They are offered in a totally supportive environment free from expectation.

After a delicious dinner we will continue to ‘go with the flow’ and participants are welcome to offer talks or workshops that we will aim to fit into the schedule. Otherwise, quietly breathing in the ocean air, making new friends and star gazing, chanting together and dancing out the chakras are all possibilities, and more…

The retreat starts on the Sunday at 5pm with our first grounding welcome yoga practice. The last class is on the Sunday morning with a farewell brunch afterwards.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

I am an oncology nurse and a few long time patients have died recently. I need to rejuvenate and return to my breath! Elizabeth
