Join us for the second Hridaya Silent Meditation Retreat on African soil and learn some techniques that has helped transform many lives.
Introducing a 3-part series of daylong retreats held on the FIRST 3 SUNDAYS OF JANUARY 2019. What a great way to ease into the New Year! Each Sunday will focus on a different level of your well-being, with tools to practice on the days in between. You may attend just one day, but the full benefit lies in embracing the whole process.
This retreat was created to intimately understand how meditation can serve you and to directly experience the amazing inner transformations which it can bring on all these levels. We are creating better conditions to reveal a deeper dimension of our being, the background to everything we experience.
Sunday 6th January – Physical well-being

Sunday 20th January – Mental well-being
Time: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Embark upon a journey to reconnect with who you truly are. Take an honest yet compassionate look at these interrelated aspects of yourself – your body, emotions, and thoughts. Expect discomfort and resistance to come up as we explore ways to relax into even our most painful and vulnerable parts and bring them all into the loving embrace of Awareness, the fundamental yet often ignored aspect of ourselves.
This offering is mainly inspired by Hridaya Yoga’s teachings of the Spiritual Heart; Ramana Maharshi’s Self-Enquiry method (asking “Who am I?”); Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, and the non-dual tantric teachings of Kashmir Shaivism, and will be supported by sacred poetry and mystical teachings across time and tradition.
To best support you in this experience, you are requested to please:
Email the 15 minutes of pre-work the day before.
Keep social silence, only speaking when essential.
Practice wet fasting, consuming no food, only the herbal tea and fresh water provided.
