9 Day Ayahuasca Amazon Retreat

About us

Our shamanic retreats are designed to accommodate each individual on their path of  awakening and healing.  We offer 9 Day Retreats which include four Ayahuasca ceremonies guided by Shipibo Healers, also known as Curanderos.  Our healers have been well established in the shamanic ayahuasca practice for several decades.  Our medicine is made on site during each retreat where the guests may assist in the sacred brewing process.   We only use the ayahuasca vine and chacruna leaves.  No other admixtures are used.

Our ceremonies are facilitated with the utmost integrity, safety and responsibility.  In addition to the two Shipibo healers, there is always a minimum of five of our staff members in every ceremony assisting our guests through their healing journeys with the sacred medicine.  These staff members do not drink the ayahuasca medicine during these ceremonies.

Drinking the ayahuasca medicine during ceremonies allows the participants to expand their consciousness to a multi-faceted universe.  Ayahuasca takes the individual through a process of cleansing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies.  The individual journeys through a series of visions often receiving profound realizations that lead them to a place of healing, understanding and balance within themselves.

During the course of the retreat we offer facilitated group sharing and one on one counseling.  We host up to 17 guests per group to accommodate an intimate and personal setting during ceremony.  Our ceremonial Maloca is very spacious, providing a comfortable environment for the profound experience.  It is situated in the midst of beautiful native plants and trees where the orchestra of nature graciously joins us in our sacred ceremonies.

It is our commitment to help facilitate healing on a individual and global basis. We deeply honor our connection with our Mother Earth and are excited to witness the mass awakening happening on our planet at this time. The plant spirit medicine, Ayahuasca, is playing a pivotal role in this transition and we are very grateful to have Her as one of our profound healers and teachers.

Our health is of upmost importance to us during the dieta process. Enjoy our super food smoothies consisting of local fruits, basil, flax seed, spirulina, maca and more made with our vitamix.

Accommodations

We host a variety of guests such as couples, groups and single travelers alike and have the accommodations to suit any need. From shared tambos, to private suites for singles, couples or travel companions looking for more intimate spaces.

Our shared accommodations consist of individual huts & tambos each hosting two or three guests each. Single private rooms with balcony or patio deck available for an additional $250. Please inquire for availability in the application. Rooms are provided with beds, linens, mosquito nets, shelves for clothing, table & chairs, fan, filtered water and a comfortable hammock outside. All huts have electricity with 220V.

At Nimea Kaya we aim to make your retreat as comfortable as possible. Our home is your home and we want to ensure you have the most comfortable stay while diving into your inner being for personal transformation.

Our shower facilities are tiled and spacious. They are designed with a grey water system that feed the surrounding plants and trees. It is recommended to bring only safe, eco-friendly, biodegradable soaps, shampoos and conditioners. Dr. Bronners is a great example. Due to the delicate eco-system and terrain of the land, composting toilets are provided in place of flush toilets.

Directions

For your international flight you will arrive in Lima, Peru. From Lima you will take a one hour flight to the city of Pucallpa. We recommend flying with Peruvian Airlines, arriving the first day the retreat begins. There is an 11:30am flight that departs Lima arriving to Pucallpa at 12:40pm. We will pick you up at the baggage claim of the airport. The ride to Nimea Kaya take about 30 minutes. Transportation back to the airport is included on the departure day. We recommend booking the departing flight at 4:10pm. After we have confirmed your reservation with us we will send you a copy of the flight itinerary that we suggest for your Peru in country flight.
