About This Event

Sri yoga peeth yoga ashram situated in the valley of Himalayas is welcoming everyone to attend a 100 hour, 200 hour Ashtanga yoga teacher training in Rishikesh India. Ashtanga yoga is a fixed sequence of some Aasanas made by the great yogi K. Pattbhi Jois during the 20th century. The Ashtanga yoga primary sequence comes from the ancient Sanskrit text Yoga Korunta. This sequence is coupled with the synchronized breathing techniques promoting a flow, which is called as the Vinyasa style of Asanas. Together the name is called as Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Students are taught Ashtanga primary series so that they can develop a solid foundation of Asana with proper alignment in a flow, which is required for the higher techniques of yoga including Bandhas, Drishti, Breath and Meditation. This course will teach you the proper techniques of practicing yoga posture of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga along with necessary alignment, modification and counter poses. Students will also be exposed to the proper use of yoga props (blocks, straps, bolster, yoga wall ropes etc), teachings methods and principles of adjustments. Thank you SRI YOGA PEETH for passing through the knowledge and love and making one feel as family. The studio and accommodation are placed a little bit away from the crowded and honking streets but yet not to far away so with a couple of meters down the hill you can enjoy everything that rishikesh offers including restaurants, cafes, shops etc and of course mother ganges river. What was important for me was teachers with a good ear and that I didn't want to be in a studio with to much noise from the streets since it would be to distracting for me. This school was everything that I looked for and a little bit more! Yoga hall located up the hill away from noisy streets on 3rd floor surrounded by mountains and all the teachers are very down to earth with pure and genuine spirits with the very best knowledge to share with you. Arpit - our yoga teacher is a very good listener, motivator and teacher, and even tough all the students were on different levels he made sure everyone of us got out the most possible of the course and that we all learned in our own pace. The food that was served in school was excellent, tasty Indian traditional food as it should be and even though I'm vegan there was never a problem with the food. Thank you for making me feel lika a part of the family and I can highly recommend this place. Nicolina Ioannou From - Malmö, Sweden
