About This Event

The Yoga Institute in Goa is an abode of holistic yoga wellness a perfect path to self-discovery and self-improvement. Hidden jewel amongst islands The Yoga Institute, Goa is located at Viva Chorao. It is spread over 7 acres, ensconced on the banks of river Mandovi. Conveniently located it is just 5 kms away from Panaji. 

We at The Yoga Institute have been committed for over 100 years to help those who wish to help themselves become healthier and happier individuals.

Venue Highlights

This experience of a yogic way of life is a magic wand to detox your body, mind and soul. While performing asanas, all you hear is the rhythm of gentle oceanic waves. While practicing pranayamas, all you breathe is the pristine coastal air. During your stay, all you consume is the simple Satvik nutrition. Blissful yogic meditation amidst the fragrant organic spice gardens will renew the spirit. Also, the magical island is a bird’s watcher paradise. Mango laden trees, inviting infinity pool and winding rivers are mesmerizing. You can also go cycling, boating or bird watching during your stay with us.

The Goan styled residential quarters are equipped with the latest amenities and spotless washrooms. Staff is polite and offer timely service. Also, there is a separate kid’s play area.


The Yoga Institute is home to a well-planned kitchen where the students and campers are assured of freshly cooked, wholesome food. Only Sattvic food is prepared, under supervision, in a hygienic process in an open kitchen. There is an equal emphasis on nutrition as well as taste. Simple eating is the mantra of yoga, and Sattvic recipes are prepared with minimum oil, without onion, garlic, and spice. The herbal tea served at the Dinning Hall is popular among visitors and a healthier alternative to the usual coffee and tea.


Take the bus from Panjim bus stop to reach Ribandar at around 06:30 am. By private transport: Drive and reach Ribandar jetty. You can load your car/2-wheeler on the ferry to Chorão Island. You need to take a ferry from Ribandar to Chorão Island.
