Beats and Spa Event December 2nd

About us

Dec 2nd, 2018 Beats and Spa 1.2

Visit the Sentinel in Mirror Lake (2 kms south of Kaslo) on Sunday December 2nd and embark on a journey inward into movement and dance from 11 am until 1:30 pm. An emotive dance floor, free-form and without substance use, unnecessary chatter, judgment or cell phones and within the sacred space of the Maloca. Limited dance tickets will be available at the door for $15. Reserve your dance ticket or day spa package online (dance, cedar hot tub, barrel sauna, brunch) for $60 here:

This month’s musical facilitators will be DJ Apukuna and Cynthia Fawcett.

Apukuna (Jon Steinman) is a Nelson based emerging conscious dance DJ. Jon is a prolific collector of the diverse musical expressions of our shared heartbeat. The Apukuna Sound is a journey into the center.

Cynthia Fawcett is a Kaslo based artist who will be playing native flute for the invocation.

Attend just the dance or come to the dance and stay afterwards for a vegetarian brunch and enjoy the spa at the Sentinel as part of the day retreat package. Spend the night or make it a longer retreat by staying for a few in one of the Sentinel’s beautiful new rooms. (reservation or advance ticket purchase required).

Thank you also in advance to our volunteers and to Braden East of Intrinsic Energy Electrical Solutions for extra sound support. And thanks to all the beautiful dancers who decide to come out and help to set the intention for future events of this kind at the Sentinel. Special thanks the Sentinel team Dustin, Florence, Tonya, Richard and Gillian for providing this beautiful Sentinel Retreat Centre and catering for this event.

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Love of life. Tamara
