By Air

From Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport: Get on a fast train (TGV) to Lyon Part-Dieu station (2 hours). To reach Domaine de Longeval, see the directions from Lyon Part-Dieu below.

From Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport: This international airport is located 74 km southwest of Longeval. It offers direct connections to all major European hubs, plus North America and North Africa.

The cheapest option to reach us from this airport is to get the Lyon ExpressTram. It will take you to Lyon Part-Dieu station in 30 minutes. From there, you can catch a train/bus combination to Domaine de Longeval (see below).

You can buy a ticket directly on the tram (€10). They leave every 15 minutes from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm and every 30 minutes from 4:30 am to 12:00 pm.

If you want to take a taxi directly to Domaine de Longeval from Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport, it will cost €100-150.

By Bus

Big bus companies (Euroline, Megabus, etc.) link Lyon to Paris and other major European cities (Torino, Barcelona, Geneva, Zurich, Frankfurt, etc.).

Buses usually arrive at Lyon Perrache or Lyon Part-Dieu train stations. From these stations, you can get a combination of train and bus to get to Domaine de Longeval (see below).

By Train

Depending on your starting point, there are a variety of ways to get to Domaine de Longeval by rail. It is most common to pass through Lyon.

Lyon has two train stations, Lyon Part-Dieu and Lyon Perrache. Both of them have connections to Chambost-Allières, a village near Longeval.

In Lyon, buy a train/bus ticket to Chambost-Allières (approximately €12) and get on a train.

Change from the train to a bus in either Lozanne or Chamelet. The bus will be waiting for you at the train station and is included in your ticket.

The bus will drop you in the village of Chambost-Allières, about 3 km away from Domaine de Longeval.

You can walk from Chambost-Allières to Longeval in about 35 minutes via local roads. However, if you decide to do this please be sure you have a good sense of direction.

By Car

Motorway links provide access to all major European cities. Use the journey planner on Red Planet Travel for maps and directions.

On Google Maps, put “Chateau de Longeval, Saint-Just d’Avray” in the search box and follow the directions.

Warning: Although our property is located in Saint-Just d’Avray, the village itself is more than 4 km away. If you reach the village you have gone too far!

      Authentic, loving and safe

Hridaya France is the perfect environment away from distractions to connect and go inwards within a supportive, knowledgeable, sincere and caring group of students, karma Yogi's and teachers, whom all uniquely make this place so special. The teachings offer a holistic approach with asana, kriya techniques, philosophy and meditation whilst the retreat majestically functions with each person playing their role but with the common aspiration to truly living yoga in daily life. As a student you gain a comprehensive understandings to what yoga/ Mediation is and as a karma yogi you get to work on yourself through offering selfless service and support to the students and community as a whole. The programme is full for modules one and two and strong emphasis on creating silence is provided to aid the students who come for the silent retreats. Bonfires, bajans, ecstatic dancing are also possibilities outside of "silent retreat" time. Its a beautiful castle renovated with much hard work and love which is evident and beautiful organic food made with ample of LOVE.

Thank you!

We're glad you've joined our retreat community. See you around :)

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Recenter, Rebalance, Renew..... I cannot provide nurture and wisdom to the people I love without the opportunity to fill up my own cup. Diane

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
