About This Event
The 17-Day Hridaya Silent Meditation Retreat was eagerly requested for several years and was a great success when it was held for the first time in 2010. The retreat intends to take a more profound approach to meditation and the depth of practice. It creates the premises for even deeper insights in which Awareness, Compassion, Beauty, Love, Bliss, and Freedom will be revealed. It will generally include less speaking and less introduction of techniques, etc., with more and deeper meditation periods, plus special elements that apply only to this retreat.

Hridaya France is the perfect environment away from distractions to connect and go inwards within a supportive, knowledgeable, sincere and caring group of students, karma Yogi's and teachers, whom all uniquely make this place so special. The teachings offer a holistic approach with asana, kriya techniques, philosophy and meditation whilst the retreat majestically functions with each person playing their role but with the common aspiration to truly living yoga in daily life. As a student you gain a comprehensive understandings to what yoga/ Mediation is and as a karma yogi you get to work on yourself through offering selfless service and support to the students and community as a whole. The programme is full for modules one and two and strong emphasis on creating silence is provided to aid the students who come for the silent retreats. Bonfires, bajans, ecstatic dancing are also possibilities outside of "silent retreat" time. Its a beautiful castle renovated with much hard work and love which is evident and beautiful organic food made with ample of LOVE.
