Rest and Relaxation

About This Event

TREAT YOURSELF

Our R&R program is a powerful way to restore your peace of mind and well-being. Through the daily practice of yoga, yoga nidra and healthy diet you will activate the innate healing wisdom of your body. Rest and Relaxation at AYI is an opportunity to step away from a stressful modern lifestyle into an experience of relaxation and rejuvenation that will leave you feeling balanced and inspired!

REDUCE STRESS

Stress is an epidemic. It has been identified as the cause of many illnesses and addictions. We provide a practical approach to managing stress through yoga and meditation classes that are accessible to everyone.

BALANCE DIET

How often have you tried to change your diet and failed? Once, twice, always? We get it. And we can help. Our meals are all organic, vegetarian and served hot daily. We take the effort out of eating healthy!

BRING IT HOME

We don’t just provide a temporary reprive from your stressful life. We empower people with tools and techniques to take relief, relaxation and balance home and into your daily life. Whether you’re here for a day or a week, we know you will find something that helps you make a profound shift in your health and well-being.

YOGA & MEDITATION

Our community practices yoga & meditation at least twice daily. With a hatha yoga posture class in the mornings, and a noontime guided meditation, called yoga nidra.

I AM WELLNESS™ CENTER

Our healing arts therapists are standing by with multiple types of massage, holistic health consults and more. You can learn more, or book an appointment before you arrive here.

VEGETARIAN MEALS

Our chef and kitchen staff provide delicious, inspired vegetarian meals. The food we serve is not only vegetarian and organic, most is from a local farm, Crone’s Cradle Conserve.

INTROSPECTIVE STUDY

We encourage the practice of sacred silence from the hours of 10pm to 10am daily, giving an opportunity for introspection and self-study in alignment with our core principles.

Venue Highlights

We are located in Salt Springs, Florida, amid the tranquil beauty of the Ocala National Forest on Lake Kerr, a spring-fed lake of nearly 3,000 acres. Beneath a canopy of towering Live Oaks, the six-acre campus features lush tropical gardens, stone decks and walkway, and a peaceful sand beach. The property includes a main house, lodge, main office, guest cabin, and brand new Healing Arts Center. We run programs year-long in service of our mission to bring authentic yogic wisdom to the world. If you’re not sure about taking a program yet, we also welcome guests for R&R.

      R&R

Enjoyed a retreat two weeks ago on the Sadhana of Prana with Chandrakant and then returned this past weekend for a short Rest & Relaxation. Was hoping for Darshan with Gurudev, but though we missed out on that, we were grateful for Nirali’s Sunday morning presentation on the foundation for I AM Yoga. She is a wonderful teacher full of grace and embodied spirit. It was a gift to sit on the dock and watch the sunset and the full moon rise. We look forward to our next visit!

      Transformational

Started in my mind (while feeling what was and not being able to quite my mind) seeing what's not there, over my stay I realized what was there was so much more I was a close friend to the Kripalu Ashram I had many friends, I consider myself very sensitive, so when Guru Dev was ousted I withdrew! My whole attraction was to practice non-judgment and here the institution that introduced me to the concept was being judgemental Kripalu since and the experience was wonderful just not the same spiritually but to the general, public the commercial customer it's got all the bells and whistles extremely well managed or was the last time typical of the corporate retreats around the world with a little less spirituality Amrit Yoga is for me the exception in a world that is attracted to bling I have revisited all the various methods I've tried and from this day forward become a devote I can't say enough words won't provide the essence of the feeling which is what it's all about God Bless and keep you in this world Amrit Yoga

Thank you!

We're glad you've joined our retreat community. See you around :)

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Because I sometimes work up to 16 hours a day, and need time to stop and breathe. Mary

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
