Continued Education Wellness Retreat Workshop
With Dr. Summer Graham DC
Synopsis of Course: Muscle Testing 101 This workshop is uniquely designed to offer the professional massage therapist or interested persons, opportunities to learn the basics of muscle testing. We will introduce the Kinesiology for advanced sciences in this course. Students will get classroom time to study and learn the basics and ample hands on time to hone their new skill. Muscle testing has been used for thousands of years as a way of “communication” or bio-feedback with the body. For example, a proficient muscle testing practitioner will be able to locate the “cause” of that runny nose. Using muscle testing, one can determine if the offending organism is a virus, bacteria, parasite, or simply an allergen. We will learn where the different reflexes are and which organ and muscle they are affiliated with. Bring your supplements
as we will also learn whether or not a certain supplement is beneficial for you and how much and when is best to take it.
This versatile hands-on workshop takes place indoors, allowing for natural experiences. Please wear comfortable clothing, as we will be moving around a lot. Skirts are not recommended.
Summer Graham was born and raised in Houston, TX, where she graduated in 1998 from the University of Houston with a Bachelors in Psychology. Experiencing a personal tragedy, she realized the need to use her skills as a healer, which to led to her studies of Chiropractic and natural medicine. Graduating from Texas Chiropractic in 2006 Summer relocated to the Colorado, New Mexico region. Dr. Graham is the Medical Director of Aztec Chiropractic, an established family practice of 40 years founded by the late Dr. Frank Nino. Continuing to expand her practice as a leader in supplemental and nutritional medicine she studies under the founder of the Wholistic Kinesiology Institute, Dr. J Dunn for methylation evaluation and treatment. Her current practice incorporates many diagnostic modalities as well as a now standardized approach to the genetic fountain of youth, Methylation Therapy.
She currently lives with her family in Aztec, New Mexico and is available for clinic and workshops at Pagosa Wellness and Sedona Wellness in the four corners area.

This CEU retreat included yoga, meditation, healthy food, learning, multiple opportunities to practice new skills, info on how to incorporate this modality into my private practice, and lots of laughter and positive energy. I left with many new skills, and renewed energy levels. So glad to have come to this workshop. Thank you for teaching.

The Cleanse Program created by Lorrie Lawrence, that is administered by the Sedona Wellness team, literally brought me from the depths of despair after caretaking and the loss of a loved one to a freedom that my body and spirit had not known since my youth. I experienced Panchakarma (PK) treatments before but never in such an immersive retreat environment. For me, the key was being open to receive. The program began before I arrived with the opportunity to evaluate and share, via a very brief survey, where I was at physically, mentally and emotionally at the time. Lorrie takes a true wholistic approach. Each Cleanse Program is designed for the individual receiving it with a number of practitioners involved. I spent five days receiving treatments and nourishment for every part of my physical body as well as counseling sessions and journaling suggestions to begin to heal my grief. I originally found Lorrie when I was sick during a holiday visit and searched for an Ayurvedic Doctor. Lorrie has assembled a team that provides care in a wide range of modalities. I have continued to seek medical treatment both at Sedona Wellness and Pagosa Wellness several times a year ever since. Both locations are in serene vortex physical settings with water, red rocks and hot springs nearby which embody the essence of wholistic healing. Experiencing a Cleanse Program at Sedona or Pagosa Wellness is a bucket list item I wish everyone could have the blessing to receive.

One of the best healing experiences of my life was Panchakarma by Lorrie Lawrence at Sedona Wellness. I embarked on this journey at a time when I wanted to reset my health. That was precisely what was provided, a re-boot. I really appreciated the time that Lorrie took to discuss important knowledge about my health at that moment and moving forward into the future. This gave me a pathway to implement a healthier diet and lifestyle. There are different components that make up this healing and restorative process. My favorite of the 5 Panchakarma therapies were the Urdvartana, Swedana, and Shirodhara. The Urdvartana or lymphatic massage was off the charts! The Swedana or herbal steam bath was so lovely and relaxing. The Shirodhara, herbalized warm oil gently poured on the third eye, put me in one of the most profound meditative states of my life! The elimination of toxins from your body can be a challenging experience. However, this cleanse was different than any other I have tried. I found Sedona Wellness Panchakarma to be the most supportive, nurturing, and renewing cleanse I have ever experienced. I received a restoration of balance, mental clarity, and a big improvement in my health and wellness. I felt that my immune system become stronger, my energy levels went higher, and my relaxation became deeper. If you can make some time to invest in your health I can't say enough amazing things about Sedona Wellness. I am so very appreciative to have gone though the Panchakarma therapies with Lorrie and Sedona Wellness. Thank you, with deep gratitude. Heather Malloy Sedona, Arizona

My experience at Sedona Wellness exceeded my expectations. Lorrie knows the very best way to conduct a cleanse and I had complete confidence in all her treatments. They work! I would recommend her cleanse program to anyone who is serious about doing it on the highest level. The entire time I was at the retreat center I was thinking "Why is this not the most popular retreat center in Arizona?" It is on sacred land, private, surrounded by breath-taking views and hiking trails, cozy, beautiful, supplies great organic food and is staffed by the best practitioners anywhere in the world. GREAT place for any kind of retreat!

I've been doing deep tissue massage for the last 36 years. Lorrie Lawrence's skills and variety in this area far exceeds any I've ever experienced!

We met Lorrie years ago when searching for a massage therapist. We had just retired to Sedona and I had chronic back pain from 20 years of working in a hospital. I had been receiving massages for about the last 10 of those 20 years in an effort to help me deal with the pain. After my first massage with Lorrie , I knew that I had struck gold. She has an amazing reportoir of styles and techniques that, when coupled with her energy and passion for healing, has finally given me relief from years of pain. In addition to massage work, I have also had the opportunity to experience other modalities that Lorrie, an Ayurvedic practitioner, offers at her facilities. One of those offerings that I decided to do was a very thorough cleanse that required daily sessions for a week. She was very discrete, encouraging and sensitive to my needs. I felt completely comfortable throughout the process, and had a renewed sense of energy and health when finished. We have visited Lorrie at both of her facilities, Sedona Wellness and Pagosa Wellness. The facilities are clean and professionally run, yet warm and inviting at the same time. Lorrie is constantly challenging herself to learn new techniques for assisting her patients on their journey towards a healthier, more pain-free life. Lorrie is a teacher's teacher, a therapist's therapist, and I would have given her 10 stars had it been possible.
