Movement, Medicine & Magic Retreat with Michelle and Anah

About This Event

You wake up in your cozy casita surrounded by the mystical mountain morning in the Sacred Valley of Peru. Your body is a little weary from travel, but you are excited to join your sweet group of deep-diving souls in the light-filled, octagonal movement studio for a morning practice of movement, meditation, and contemplation.
You have a deep knowing that you are in the right place. The butterflies bloom in your belly at the thought of the next six days of yoga, new movement practices, healthy habit creation, renewed inner fortitude, inspiration, breakthroughs, dance parties, outdoor adventures, and a whole lotta laughter.
You are READY.
As the long languid days of the retreat flow sweetly by, you find your mind and heart are opened by the connection with your fellow movement mavens. Your body and soul are primed and healthy through daily authentic movement and relating practices. Each day is a new day filled with a healthy balance of fun and challenging things. Yoga, dance, meditation, connection games, and even hula hooping!! What heaven!
Every sunset is a sacred experience of natural beauty. Your bucket list is shorter after experiencing the native culture of the Andes and the 12 sacred mountains -the Apus- or ‘luminous beings.’ You are nourished with organic food grown right on the property, dips in the hot tub, and hikes to the nearby waterfalls.
The possibilities available to your body, mind, and spirit are expanded with the guidance of two decades-long practitioners of spiritual exploration and artistic embodiment, Anah aka Hoopalicious and Nayeli aka Michelle;). Your cheeks hurt from laughing all day. Your eyes are bright from the free flow of tears sparked by the outrageous beauty of Nature and a steady stream of breakthroughs you have been praying for. Upon returning home, you notice a new lightness in your step and easy integration of new tools for the path ahead. Gratitude abounds.
Does this sound like what you are calling in? If so, please join us for an intimate retreat adventure in the one and only, Sacred Valley of Peru. Anah and Nayeli are your guides for a 6-day/7-night adventure lovingly designed to help you get into your body and out of your head in the most relaxing and nourishing way.
Utilizing yoga, somatics, guided meditation, authentic relating games, dance, hula hooping, personal development tools and TONS of free time to enjoy the beauty of the location, come prepared to truly LET GO and maybe even find yourself on a whole new level of awareness. You will receive plenty of one-on-one guidance, forge lifelong friendships, and return home with tools and practices to stay centered, connected, and balanced ~ within and without.

LEADERS
Michelle ‘Nayeli’ Bouvier is a Prana Vinyasa™ Yoga Teacher Trainer, Certified Yoga Therapist, Hoopdance pioneer, AcroYoga Teacher, Thai Massage Practitioner and dancer devoted to the art and science of embodiment (definitely a body nerd!). Teaching everywhere since 2000, Michelle has accumulated nearly 4000 hours of training, specializing in sustainability and resilience of the body, mind, and heart.
Over the last 20 years, Anah has performed and taught the art of Hoop Dance. On its face, hoop dance looks like merely a visual art. Underneath the sparkly facade, Hoop Dance is a deeply transformative practice. Fueled by insights from the hoop and her own innate curiosity about spirituality and transformation, Anah became her own research scientist.
ACCOMMODATIONS
The retreat center’s name translates as “love from the ancient forest.” It is nestled in an oasis of native plants and fruit trees, nourished by a magnificent waterfall in the Sacred Valley of Peru. This lovely spot is in the Andes Mountains and home of the twelve mountains known as Apus—“luminous beings.” Those who come to the center have the opportunity to commune directly with these mountains, as well as with the local curanderos and pacos (healers), who engage with us for ritual and Despacho ceremony.
The guests at this center enjoy delicious meals with locally-grown and lovingly-prepared ingredients. Each guest room is a reflection of the Peruvian culture of the Sacred Valley. The entire center embodies kindness, love, and wholeness that seem to permeate the magical place.

      Great staff

I have been working with True Nature Education over the past 6 months. There is such a sense of community amongst the staff and I love the abundance of knowledge that is passed along from these retreat gurus! The staff has been especially helpful and motivating me throughout my promotion of Explorations of Self: A Costa Rica Yoga Experience Jan 17-24, 2014 (My first retreat in Costa Rica). I definitely believe this is a good way to go if you are new to teaching internationally or want to continue and grow with an amazing group of spiritual and intellectual people. Thanks a million, TNE!

Thank you!

We're glad you've joined our retreat community. See you around :)

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

This sounds like a dream! I am an education student and I have spent way too much time working all summer to pay for school. My boyfriend of 5 years is a government firefighter and has been away working most of the summer. His 30th Birthday and our 6th anniversary is coming up this winter, we would love to celebrate with a yoga retreat! We both love yoga but have barley had time to practice in the past few months. Keeping our fingers crossed! Jaimee and Dan
