Young Meditators Group

About This Event

This group for anyone in their 20s and 30s who is interested in learning and experiencing the benefits of meditation and socializing other like-minded individuals.

Join us twice a week (WESTSIDE in Mar Vista on Mondays & EASTSIDE in Eagle Rock on Fridays) for 30 minutes of meditation followed by various activities such as a short readings, guest teachers, and formal/informal conversations over tea and snacks. Most evenings you can expect anywhere from 10 to 30 young meditators.

This is an opportunity to be social and connect with a community of fellow meditators, and share in our experience as young people trying to live more sanely while still taking in all that our city has to offer. Our events are usually free and open to all, at any level of experience. Meditation instruction is available upon request.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Because I sometimes work up to 16 hours a day, and need time to stop and breathe. Mary
