I have come to realize that the best ways to step more deeply into our lives is to step out of our lives as we know them.  Retreats and pilgrimages offer a different lens to the same eyes, allowing us to reconnect with our wonder and spirit.  Adding purpose and a deeper meaning to personal travel has been a passion of mine for over a decade. Once again, I’m very excited to invite you along.Join me to explore some of my favourite mystical places and friends in Ireland where we will learn to deepen our practice of connection, compassion and gratitude while replenishing our well.

We stay in a beautiful manor home in Ballyvaughan where we can rejuvenate after our daily outings and all be together under one spectacular roof.

Rooms are priced at double occupancy but there are some single rooms available for a supplement of €500. Be sure to let me know.  Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom.

All nourishing breakfasts are at the house and some evening meals.

There is wifi in the house and also in some places in the village of Ballyvaughan.

A C T I V I T I E S

Our mornings begin with a check in circle and meditation, taking some time to set intentions and welcome the day. This is where we will begin to weave the theme for the day’s adventures into our waking selves. Our outings may include: walking the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, visiting the ancient ruins of Kilmacduagh, the bed of St. Colman, and the holy well of St. Brigit with folklorist Jack Harrison, a day of forging our dinner with David Donohue, or a day at the Burren College of Art with Gisele carving a meditation ring. Yoga with both Helga and Jack will be accessible for all. Their lifetime experience and approach to yoga is restorative and connects us to our breathing at best.

You get to have a contemplative creative day with me at the amazing Burren College of Art. This day is dedicated to creating and carving your own piece of reflective jewelry. I will prepare you with everything you need. The object is to observe working from our heart centres regardless of how many time we jump into our heads, we return to our heart’s loving acceptance of what is.

The goal is to return you home restored, refreshed and fully inspired.

I highly recommend it to ANY one because not only is there the calm and quiet reflection of yoga and meditation, there was also many unique activities planned, socializing with each other and our local friends, and exploration of the countryside and culture, which helped me get to know myself in a different way and satisfied my adventurous side :) - Rachel

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

My inspiration is to find some very much needed solace away from the stress of raising 4 children, working (as a dietitian) and trying to get my private nutrition counseling practice launched. I am a registered yoga instructor and have practiced for over 10 yrs, and have always dreamed of taking a yoga retreat just for my own inner well being. Linda

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
