About us

Daylong Meditation Retreat with Anam Thubten and Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche

We often live unconsciously, lost in thoughts and feelings. In this state, we may experience a variety of internal problems such as anxiety, fear or anger. And yet, if we bring awareness into our daily lives we are able to find ways to stop identifying with our mental habits. Then we can experience joy and peace and, eventually, the profound epiphany of dropping into the unconditioned.

In this retreat, Anam Thubten and Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche will co-teach, sharing the experience and knowledge of timeless Buddhist wisdom.

Anam Thubten grew up in Tibet and undertook Buddhist training at an early age. He is the founder and spiritual advisor of Dharmata Foundation, teaching widely in the US, Europe, and Asia. His many publications include “Embracing Each Moment” and “No Self, No Problem.” For more information: dharmata.org

Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche is a meditation master in the Dzogchen lineage and the author of Our Pristine Mind: A Practical Guide to Unconditional Happiness. He is the founder and spiritual director of Pristine Mind Foundation, and offers teachings for professionals, parents, children, health- care providers, psychologists, spiritual seekers, and yoga practitioners.

This retreat is sponsored by the Dharmata Fellowship and Pristine Mind Foundation and locally hosted by Lindsay Sharp.

No one turned away for lack of funds.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Retreats inspire me to continue to practice and fuel my journey. I always find specified intention and feel it projects me closer to my purpose. Shannon

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
