We journey to the enchanting valley of Gougane Barra, Saint Finbarr’s first settlement on the shores of a beautiful lake. We visit the oratory and walk the grounds of the old monastery, feeling its energies, sacredness and time to do ceremony if it is needed.

We depart Gougane Barra for Drombeg stone circle known as the ‘Druid’s Altar.’ stopping on the way for lunch. This special site is aligned with the Winter Solstice. Starting at Winter Solstice (for 3 days), the sun disappears behind the hill on the horizon and then reappears in the lower valley. At the point of reappearance, the stone circle is dramatically illuminated. A memorable experience is to lay on a Druid altar and allow yourself to feel the vibrations! Here we can do a water initiation and also experience the special Goddess aspect of the site. Lunch is included.

A sensitive person with natural healing energy who wants more power to heal yourself and others while maintaining healthy boundaries.Always giving your time, your energy, your love, your ENERGY to others, only to consistently come up short.Needing a vacation but ONLY if you can bring it back with you —>(raises hand).Adept at another healing modality, ( like massage, aromatherapy, pranic healing ect. )  but wanting to facilitate stronger transformational shifts for yourself and others. Have always wanted to become attuned to Reiki but desire more personalization, intensity and integration than a two-day workshop with people you don’t jive with.

… The join me in Ireland!  Become certified in Usui Reiki 1 & 2 with Holly Fire III and experience 5 days of integration, applied practice, attunements and initiatory ritual. We will feast, rest, explore mystical sites, receive bodywork, and come more fully into the embodiment and sisterhood of the priestess arts. What better way to unleash your inner Goddess and become a certified Reiki Healer than in magical, mystical Ireland– the heart chakra of Mother Earth!

Our activities and excursions will activate our goddess energies and blaze new pathways with sensuous play and adventure! Whether you like horseback riding around the lush 220 acres of enchanted woodland at Castlemartyre resort, fancy a half-day course at the award-winning Ballymoe Cookery School, or feel called to luxuriate in Castlemartyr’s 5-star pool and spa facilities, there’s sure to be something to excite and strengthen your inner enchantress. Both those new to healing and the adept will have the shift of a lifetime as you connect back to the Divine Feminine, the poetry of your soul, and the joys of this Emerald Isle.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

My last retreat at SMC was so inspiring and so relaxing. But i'd love to have more time there to spend at the Stupa, visit the Kami shrine, and generally interact with the beautiful enlightened society happening on that entire land. Brett

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
