About This Event
“It isn’t enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn’t enough to believe in it. One must work at it.” -Eleanor Roosevelt
Peace is a choice, intention, and outcome. Envisioning peace starts with the foundation of cultivating peace within our own hearts and generating harmony and vitality in the body. From the sacred ground of inner peace, we learn skills to bring peace into our speech, into our relationships, and into our world.
Immerse in yogic practices that cultivate and generate inner peace in mind, body, and heart. Practice non-violent communication, mindful speech, and conflict resolution skills. Learn to stand up, speak out, and act from a place of love and fearlessness. Envisioning Peace speaks to all aspects of our health and well-being- body, mind, heart, relationships, and our purpose.
Topics and themes covered include:
Power of intention, visualization, meditation
Non-violent communication and conflict resolution skills
Boddhissattva (Buddhist) activities and practices
Yogic practices for inner peace and harmony
Envisioning Peace is a call to all dreamers, healers, yogis, and activists to gather, dream, inspire each other and create the positive momentum for peace and justice in ourselves, our families, our community, and the world.
Hollyhock definitely captured my heart. The food is wonderfully balanced and full of flavour. The garden is mesmerizing and the staff is always welcoming with a smile. Accommodation was comfortable and clean. There is something enchanting about this place that is calling me back ~ Monica G
Venue HighlightsHollyhock sits on the traditional territories of the Klahoose, Tla’amin, Homalco Nations. We are committed to renewing our relationships with the First Nations peoples on whose territories we are guests.
Since 1982 Hollyhock has built upon the history of this land as a place of gathering, a pioneering homestead, and the site of an important human potential education centre. On this foundation of gathering, pioneering and learning, Hollyhock’s founders dreamed of creating a lifelong learning and leadership curriculum to inspire, nourish and support people intent on service to a better world.
Hollyhock became a not-for-profit in 2006 to strengthen carrying out our mission into the future.
