7 Day Yoga Safari in Africa with Alisha Smith

About This Event

Join Yoga Teacher, Alisha Smith for 7 days of yoga and meditation at Nambwa Tented Lodge, the only luxury lodge uniquely situated inside the Bwabwata National Park. The surrounding area is not only renowned for it’s large herds of Elephant and inspirational activities, but it lends itself to an idyllic sanctuary for retreats.

Having completed over 1000-hours of trainings in India, Thailand, Bali and Hawaii, Alisha now shares her love for yoga by teaching at retreats and workshops around the world. She weaves guided meditations, pranayama and creative flows into her classes that are designed to nourish the mind, body and soul.

Mornings are set to begin with a yoga practice out in nature, gently awakening and energizing your body. The picture-perfect settings will give you the feeling as though time is standing still and you will almost certainly be able to hear the surrounding nature and wildlife whispering rejuvenation into your soul as the world awakes.

The remainder of the day will be spent on guided excursions, relaxation or optional massage treatments. As the days draw to a close, you will find yourself back in nature for an afternoon yoga practice with Alisha. Evening classes are yin-based in style to help you unwind and relax after a wonderful day of adventure. An incredible way to end the day and quiet your mind before dinner under the starlit skies…

There will be 2 yoga sessions planned daily, held at different locations on the reserve. Alisha takes extra care to design thoughtful, fresh sequences that cater for all levels, and she offers modifications and personalized instruction throughout her classes.

"Alisha knows how to connect with her students like no one else. With her beautiful meditative voice and flowing sequences, she creates an energy that makes me leave her classes reborn each and every time".
