About This Event

Fri 29 March (12 noon) – Sunday 31 March (5pm) 2019
at Somersal Farm, Ashbourne, Derbyshire
A deep & healing self-exploration through Internal (IFS) Constellations : Compassionate Self-Dialogue & Somatic Mindfulness
"A profoundly important part of my journey towards health and healing."
"So many insights and light-bulb moments. I’m excited to continue this deep and necessary work"
This highly experiential retreat explores how early attachment issues, childhood events and trans-generational trauma leave imprints on us – affecting our self-esteem, health, relationships and life choices.
You can experience a remarkable group process and guided self-encounter through the deepest levels of human resonance and self-connection, to discover more of who you truly are, and what you truly want.
Adverse childhood experiences result in us developing survival strategies such as perfectionism, addictions, self-criticism and anxiety. To protect ourselves, the most painful feelings have to be buried, beyond conscious awareness, but will continue to trigger us.
Through this deep work you can come into contact with these protective and exiled parts from a place of healthy Self energy, leading to a softening of unhelpful patterns, better relationships, inner balance and harmony.
In this retreat, I incorporate the evidence-based Internal Family Systems model into the Trauma Constellations of Franz Ruppert (itself adapted from the better-known Family Constellations) plus elements of Inner Child Work, Somatic Mindfulness, Guided Meditations and Resilience Training, to create an integrated, embodied exploration and healing experience for everyone.
This wonderful retreat will also include a few extras alongside the Constellations : optional morning meditation/yoga, parts-mapping, self-discovery through automatic drawing, guided visualisations and TRE (Tension/Trauma Release Exercises) – with TRE trainer Rachael Culver-Dodds.
There are only 8 places for a Personal Constellation, plus space for 4 Participants.
Somersal Farm is set in the rolling Derbyshire countryside and offers beautifully converted red-brick barns with underfloor heating. The same family has been farming its 150 acres of land attached for over 100 years, and provide a warm welcome. Located near Uttoxeter, just south of Derby, Somersal Herbert is very central and accessible from most places in the UK.
A ‘Constellation’ is defined as a collection of parts – in this case, the various parts of us that react in different ways to what happens in life. (ie.e nothing to do with stars!)
Having your ‘Own Constellation’ means being guided to create a ‘Sentence of Intention’ for the issue you wish to explore, followed by facilitated Constellation. ‘Parts of the self’ become apparent, as the inner workings of the issue are revealed in a deep self-encounter.
Being a ‘Participant’ means witnessing and/or taking part in Constellations. The latter involves simply expressing or moving in response to whatever physical or emotional experiences are present in that moment. Being a Participant offers many personal insights that contribute to personal growth and healing.
