About This Event
Join (contact info blocked) resident rock star and one of San Francisco's premier yoga instructors, Mark Morford, for a pilgrimage to the healing lands and pristine turquoise waters of Tulum, Mexico.
You’ll visit ancient ruins, swim in cenotes, play in the sea, and connect & laugh together, all while practicing yoga and meditation in an unbelievable setting with fresh ocean air and sounds of surf to relax you and lull you to sleep at night.
YogaDownload is hosting this retreat at the award-winning Maya Tulum Resort where you can walk from your cabana straight into the Caribbean Sea for a dip and will enjoy delicious, healthy, nourishing meals three times a day.
There will also be opportunities to receive expert spa treatments and massages with therapists from a family lineage of Mayan Bodyworkers, visit an on-site Temazcal (sweat lodge) where local healers perform body & soul-cleansing indigenous ceremonies, spend time at an oceanfront meditation labyrinth for quiet moments of reflection, and if we're lucky - spot a sea turtle coming up to lay her eggs on the beach at night!
Feel like a dream? Go ahead and pinch yourself, because it's happening this May!
JOIN OUR TRIBE! We will have around 40 participants for this retreat and will form bonds and create lasting friendships as we share this incredible and majestic experience together!
Venue HighlightsMaya Tulum Resort was voted “One of the Top Ten Resort Spas in the World!” by Travel and Leisure magazine. The resort’s natural thatched-roofed cabanas, steps away from the ocean, blend comfort with nature. Maya Tulum Resort offers the largest secluded stretch of beach in Tulum. Enjoy quiet moments of reflection in their oceanfront Meditation Labyrinth and be lulled to sleep by the sound of the lapping Caribbean Sea.
AccommodationsA variety of accommodation options are available including cabanas and villas. Since this premier resort was established decades ago, their accommodations have been crafted and constantly updated by local Mayan artisans. Each secluded and unique thatched-roof room has its own unique features, but all cabanas are designed to welcome the bright Mexican light, fresh air and the refreshing sounds of nature.
At every front door, a small stone bath to dip the sand off bare feet matches the hand-laid stonework found all over this expansive beachfront property.
Well-appointed bathrooms, daily maid service and lovingly tended landscape make this a most comfortable escape very close to nature.
