Welcome to the heart of southern Sweden!

A serene place with unpolluted nature and miles and miles of forest trails, the lake has many small beaches to explore and the river path is very nice too. The old rail road trail takes you deep into untouched forests and showed me what nature really can be like, the feeling in this place is magical and can't be described, it has to be experienced!

Venue Highlights

You will be staying just 100m from a beautiful Swedish forest lake with several natural beaches and forest trails to explore. There is plenty of berries to forage and you may even spot some wild life! We will show you how to make your own natural teas and where to find cranberries and blueberries, (if in season).

Lake trails
Trail around the first lake is 10 km, combining it with the second lake makes the trail is 20 km. The village is one hour away from the Swedish part of the Camino de Santiago meaning the lake trail is maintained and used by people practising for the Camino. The trail with the second lake is very varied and you will be able to go through forest and along rural country roads as well.

Each day starts with a walk by the lakeside, giving you the opportunity find inner calm and really connect with your self and nature. You can also learn some techniques for relaxation if you like. After the walk there is a daily organised outing for the group.

The Old Railway Track and Trail
This trail is of a total of 50k and you can cycle along the old railway on a Dressin or walk on the forest trail beside. You can turn back at any point that suits you and thus make the walk as long or short as you like, or continue to the small town of Åseda at 25k. You will be going trough forests, passing by old station houses, lakes and open landscapes. You will be deep in untouched forests, only seen by the few people that have taken this very path, it's a unique and powerful nature experience that you won't find anywhere else!
