Greek Island Luxury Yoga Retreat

  • Amorgos, Greece
  • Sep 7 - 13, 2019 (7 days)

About This Event

Relax on the Greek Island of Amorgos, possibly the fairest island of them all, just a 6 hour ferry ride from Athens. Surrender into the Journey!

Join Heidi Dietrich, International Yoga Teacher, for a replenishing week of twice daily all-ages yoga and meditation practices, Yoga Nidra, nutritious meals and serene landscapes while practicing committing fully to life as a spiritual focus.

Heidi emphasizes the body-mind connection of the yoga practice, inviting you to experience yoga as a living practice that carries off our mat into every moment of our lives. Through getting quiet, intention setting, residing in the feeling of abundance and bliss as well as applying ancient yogic tools for concentration and one-pointed focus we relax into the gift of life and rest at our center. Yoga Nidra, dream journaling, painting, Lucid Living and Reiki will be offered as tools for transformation. A suggested reading list is also available.

Ishvara pranidhana is the practice of fully surrendering the self to God or Life Force. In surrendering the ego to the Supreme Being in humility, it is thought that the character of the divine can be attained. In Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, it means committing one’s life and one’s yoga practice to the Lord (or spiritual focus of choice).

There will be ample time for spa services, off-site adventures or simply soaking in the beach life. Begin the practice now by following your YES. See you in Greece!

Heidi teaches yoga that works for young and old, experienced or novice. If you can’t quite get the pose she offers an easier way. Alternately if you are accomplished in yoga she offers a more advanced way. The breath work and the intention add to the spiritual effect of the class. Heidi’s classes work for me especially as I age. Her yoga classes keep me strong and limber. She deals with the entire body both physically and spiritually. I have learned so much from Heidi’s yoga classes. Not only how to assume poses with the proper alignment, but she always has useful tips for my home practice.” ~Barbara Kopitz

Event Highlights

  • This retreat will include two daily yoga classes. One class takes place in the morning just before breakfast. After the first class and meal, you have free time to explore, relax, or take part in optional add-on activities. Lunch will take place midday, during this free time. There will be an afternoon yoga class followed by dinner. Occasionally there will be an evening restorative class after dinner instead of the afternoon class.
  • In addition, there is usually one dedicated “excursion day” in which we do not have the afternoon/evening yoga class. This is a day for people to take advantage of some of the more involved tour and excursion offerings and is always a lot of fun!
