About This Event
Our "Music of the Mountains Meditation Retreat" for groups is led by Simon and Jocelyne, who works with all age groups with singing and voice development as well as being a performer herself. She believes that we can each find our own voice and feel our own music.
Each morning we will go to a different mountain location for the very special experience of resonating with the presence of the mountains. We will set up our own base where we will be able to contemplate, chant, sing, sit in meditation, listen to stories, and then take a short walk before returning to the centre for a late-ish lunch. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to use as you (contact info blocked) read, take a walk, make (contact info blocked) and Simon will always be around for an individual conversation if you wish.
And of course there will always be space for your own time.

Venue HighlightsLe Sentier Tranquille is in the foothills of the French Pyrenees Mountains. It is an idyllic location on the edge of a hamlet with hill and forest walking from the gate and offering guided mountain walking as part of some retreats. The centre has ample spaces for individual contemplation, as well areas for group work and exchange, both inside and out. There is a small library for retreat participants, a meditation platform and a smaller covered area for meditation or individual yoga.
AccommodationsAll our rooms are individual and have at least a full-size double bed. Some also have a single bed or can be arranged as twins. There is either a private bathroom for the room or the bathroom is shared with no more than one other room. Toiletries, towels and bath-robes are provided, as well as tea, coffee, infusion facilities.
Menu/CuisineWe provide a continental-style breakfast with cereals, yoghurts, croissants, home-made confitures, fruit. Lunch is usually cold with a main course and dessert. Evening meal is preceded by apéritifs (incl. non-alcoholic) and is usually three courses, typically with a gourmet salad to start, a main course of casserole or tajine (for which a vegetarian option is available on request) and followed by a dessert or cheese.
All ingredients are sourced locally and as far as possible drawn from what is in season.
