About This Event

Join Lama Willa in the verdant early summer of New Hampshire for an intensive weekend silent meditation retreat. This retreat, oriented towards the theme of natural awareness, will provide opportunity for deepening in meditation practice, a spacious schedule and dharma teachings.

Teachings will address how to find, dwell in and deepen your relationship with natural awareness (nyukme sem), the wakeful part of your moment-by-moment experience. We will explore how the path of awareness is also a path of embodiment, and how to befriend every aspect of our sensory, emotional and bodily experience as a doorway to wisdom. Keywords of this retreat are body, presence, awareness and kindness. Participants of all levels are welcome.

If the full retreat cost would create an undue financial burden, we encourage persons to apply for scholarship and work-study. Whether one needs to request aid to defer a large or small portion of the cost of a retreat so as not to incur a financial burden, we strive to accommodate you. This link will take you to information about our work-study and scholarship possibilities. Depending on the type of work that you do, you may be eligible for a Hemera Contemplative Fellowship. Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To fix me and therefore fix the world. Rogers

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
