The songs by Laboratorium Pieśni resonate deep within the body and are from the wild places of nature, and their effects are deeply healing. They are for all who want to free their natural voice, the untrained and trained singer, and they place you at the beginning of a new journey with your voice.
“At the beginning of life you didn't censor yourself, when you felt like it you screamed, sang, danced and fully (contact info blocked) you were a (contact info blocked)A little one. Through life we can become caged, our creative nature, dancing, breathing is told what to do and when, and quickly the body stops to sing. But it is all inside us, it always has been but we have been cut away from it. You are a lion and you do not roar, a bird and you do not fly. The workshops are structured to create a space to explore the removing of the blocks, allowing for natural breathe, movement and sound, to return you to a child state of exploration. And here in the workshop we are together, immersed in sound.” (Taken from “Free Your Song” by Alina Jurczyszyn)
Workshops are focused on:
• Group practice of music and traditional singing (working with traditional songs, learning singing in traditional polyphony)
• Voice and its strengthening (emission, voice projection, breath training)
• Awakening of the natural human musicality (the musical sensations of earth are written in our DNA)
• Partner and group activities (building a state of mindfulness, mutual respect and responsibility for common work, ability to fit to the group, creating a creative energy, mutual support and exploiting the potential of each participant).
This practice of raising our voices as one is meant for every member of our community.
