About This Event

Retreat to the sweet life with Soul Candy Yoga Retreat, a 3-day/3-night exploration of YOU. Venture to yoga instructor Andrea Stuart’s high desert haven, nestled on the precipice of the Deschutes National Forest and sequestered against the Newberry National Volcanic Monument.

This year, we’re going in search of buried treasure! Our practices will encourage us to open up to ourselves and to the world around us. We’ll learn how to find gems in the mud of our inner selves and unearth our potential for self-love, compassion, and living vibrantly every day.

"As soon as I walked into Andrea and Jeremy’s home, I felt so loved and welcomed. They gave me a sense of community and purpose." - Courtney O. (2018 Soul Candy Attendee)

Venue Highlights

Simple Serenity is on 1.5 acres of private land at the southern end of Bend. The Newberry National Volcanic Monument flows right through the yard, bringing strong fire and earth elements to the space. Cleansing, wholesome, and centering, Simple Serenity features a 1,200 square-foot yoga studio located in a 5,000 square-foot barn. The land offers a humble setting for yoga, energy work, and meditation. Other amenities include badminton and bocce ball.

Accommodations

King & Queen Rooms: The main guest suite, which is an attached dwelling unit (ADU) to the main house, offers a King Bedroom, a Queen Bedroom, a shared kitchen with stove top, a living room with dining area, a bathroom, laundry, and a shade room (it's affectionately named that due to the fact it faces north) with a book and game library. The King bedroom is spacious, has a closet, and features a digital wall heater. The room can accommodate a queen blow-up mattress for groups who would like the share the space.

Barn Bedroom: The barn currently houses the Barn Queen Bedroom, which is wall adjacent to the yoga studio. The bedroom has a queen bed, small cabinet for belongings, a heater, and a mostly private bathroom.

Upstairs Queen Room: The main house has the Upstairs Queen Bedroom. This room offers air conditioning and heating via a split unit and can sleep up to four people, two on the queen futon featuring a thick foam mattress pad, and two people on the floor.

Camping: A popular option for many of our guests. There is no extra charge for camping. The property has five total bathrooms, three of which are on the ground level. Camping offers attendees an opportunity to commune more deeply with nature during the retreat.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

This sounds like a dream! I am an education student and I have spent way too much time working all summer to pay for school. My boyfriend of 5 years is a government firefighter and has been away working most of the summer. His 30th Birthday and our 6th anniversary is coming up this winter, we would love to celebrate with a yoga retreat! We both love yoga but have barley had time to practice in the past few months. Keeping our fingers crossed! Jaimee and Dan
