About this Retreat
Vinita’s yoga and meditation practice began in 1998 while she was a student and ski bum in Colorado. Since then, she has made long term homes in Wyoming, Japan, and California. Influenced by the natural world and the many places she has traveled, her personal practice is based on a sense of deep ecology and global philosophy. Vinita practices and teaches various movement modalities, including vinyasa, yin, and barre sculpt, as well as Buddhist and guided meditation. Her sound healing sessions include gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, tingsha bells, various chimes, and her own voice. The vibration of all these instruments creates a tapestry of rejuvenation and complete relaxation for mind, body, and spirit. You can learn more about Vinita at her website: vinitayoga.com.
Details of this retreat
Find presence and calm in all the spaces before you arrive to your destination.
Life is a moving, dynamic process, and yoga is simply a practice for Life. Can we flow easily between positions, without forcing or collapsing? Can we listen deeply and appreciate the moments in between? Can we pause where we need to, and give more effort when the posture calls for it? When we practice with this moment-to-moment awareness, we can embody flow and presence in yoga and our life.
Coupled with the seasonal energy shift from summer to autumn, we will practice yoga transitions with complete physical acuity, refining movement between poses and mindful resonance in each pose.
This immersive weekend includes a morning vinyasa with pranayama (breathwork) and evening yin yoga with sound bath. There will be time to spend in nature, rest, and enjoy a massage.
This retreat is for anyone desiring to understand the depth of attention we can bring to foundations of hand and foot placement, focus on the transfer of weight on the mat, stability in a pose, and our full breadth.
Expect to uncover your ability to flow with ease and grace between poses and enjoy the transition(process) as transformation(change).
COVID POLICY: For your safety and ours, we require that all guests be vaccinated against Covid and provide proof of a negative covid test result within 48 hours of arrival. We wish to provide peace of mind for all of our residents and guests.
