About This Event

Plant medicines have been at the core of human health care as far as human history dates back. The indigenous Amazonian tribes consider the plants to have spirits, and those spirits to be the source of great power and healing. The plants help us guide towards understanding how to free ourselves from internal blockages and connect to the energy and essence that lives within us. Simultaneously, plant knowledge reconnects us to the humility, intention and integrity that underlies our existence.

At Vikara, we strive to provide a safe space for participants to continue their journey of transformation and experience the ancient wisdom and healing potential of plant medicines.

COME FORTH INTO THE LIGHT OF THINGS, LET NATURE BE YOUR TEACHER. William Wordsworth

Menu/Cuisine

During this retreat we will be following the Ayahuasca diet.
The ayahuasca diet is an important part of ayahuasca retreats, both physically and spiritually. The diet is not just about avoiding certain foods, but is about discipline, sacrifice, commitment and respect to the process of experiencing the sacred teacher ayahuasca; and while our meals respect that traditions, they do not have to be bland, boring, or monotonous.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

My inspiration is to find some very much needed solace away from the stress of raising 4 children, working (as a dietitian) and trying to get my private nutrition counseling practice launched. I am a registered yoga instructor and have practiced for over 10 yrs, and have always dreamed of taking a yoga retreat just for my own inner well being. Linda

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
