Replenish | Rejuvenate | Reignite an experience to support, nourish and honor widows and widowers

About This Event

Allow yourself to be nourished by the surrounding beauty of our Idaho Mountains.  During this weekend retreat, you will have an opportunity to connect with other widows or widowers (our retreats are separate), explore nature through an adventure activity, enjoy some quiet time by the river, have a massage in the afternoon and let your creativity sooth your soul.

Replenish, rejuvenate and re-ignite your whole self while honoring the widow journey.

Schedule

What to expect during our Sunrise Retreat:

Upon arrival Friday afternoon, you will be greeted by our staff and taken to your shared room, meet the other ladies and have some time to relax. Breathe in the fresh mountain air, read a book by the Creekside or depending on when your massage is scheduled, you may be receiving a relaxing one hour massage with Jen. As we settle into a slower pace, we will gather around the back patio table to begin introducing ourselves to each other and begin our weekend together.
The smell of dinner begins to linger as we find ourselves connecting with each other and sinking into the gentle flow of a magical weekend. The art supplies make their debut after dinner until the sun begins to set and we retire to the Creekside campfire. What is shared at retreat, stays at retreat!
We have an exciting day on Saturday, so off to bed we go by 10. Although, we’ve heard giggles AND snores…it all depends on what YOU need! We’ve had some attendees head to bed by 8…..It truly is a weekend for you to replenish, rejuvenate and re-ignite YOU.
Greet the next morning with our gentle Sunrise yoga on the outside patio with Michelle. Not to worry, there is time for a cup of coffee, a massage or a stroll before we begin! After yoga, we have an amazing breakfast to replenish our bodies preparing us to take part in the adventure of the day. Our outdoor adventure can’t be put into words, except that nature has a way of bringing healing to all of us in our own unique way.
Later that day there are more massages and some free time to write in our journals, take a nap, work on art or visit with your new best friends! Dinner calls us to the back patio again followed by more art time and a closing night fireside.
On Sunday, we stretch out our bodies from the day before during our Sunrise yoga. Grab you tea or coffee and we begin to close our art work activity before enjoying one more brunch meal together. Our closing ceremonies, well, we need to leave something for your imagination.
Leaving the retreat mid-day, we’ve been told there is a feeling of hope, connection and renewed energy. Join us in discovering you next stepping stone…..and spring board of hope!

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

I teach yoga part time and am a mom of two toddlers full time. I love my life, but goodness do I need a break. My husband and I have been putting off our wedding ceremony for 4 years because life has gotten in the way. We haven't had a single night alone since our family has grown. I wouldn't change a thing about our lives now, but it would be so wonderful to remember what it's like to 'just be us.' Antrim

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
