Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday: Rejuvenating Yoga

Move more deeply into contact with yourself and your body with Tanmayo’s wonderful Yoga, Meditation and Pranayama classes. Five rejuvenating Yoga classes are offered by Tanmayo during this retreat.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Embodied Compassionate Communication (ECC) also referred to as Nonviolent Communication (NVC):

Here you will enhance your communication skills by incorporating body awareness even more fully into your life. You will be able to understand both yourself and others better by reading your own body signals and those of others. Some of the body awareness work we will teach you includes Gestalt awareness work, Aikido centering movements, subtle breath-work and body reading. This will all be incorporated into your role-playing work using ECC.

This first class in Embodied Compassionate Communication will be followed by two other classes during the workshop and then two practice groups. The practice group is where you will be able to bring up specific challenges you may experience in your communication with others. This is done for concrete ways to transform your communication practices into something more empathic and ultimately successful.

Later classes, we will be incorporating traditional NVC work to enable you to:

• Practice self-empathy more deeply and more quickly

• Be able to make requests of others, and yourself, that are do-able and that you can trust

• Tune into your feelings and needs so that you know more clearly what you really want from yourself and others

• Communicate your desires in a way that can be more easily heard and understood

• Understand and empathize with the needs of others

• Assure others that you have heard and understood them

• Arrive at win-win agreements much more quickly by empathizing better with yourself and others.

Thursday, Friday & Saturday: Sept 19, 20 & 21:

Our evenings will be devoted to healing and enjoying our lives through Celebration!

Kirtan Ceremony with Adrian and Tanmayo (Thursday):

Our first evening will be heart filled singing and chanting with Tanmayo and her talented partner and musician, Adrian.

Sound Healing, Cacao Ceremony & Dance (Friday):

We will participate in a very deep and profound meditative sound healing experience and drink Cacao (Cacao Ceremony) that is specially prepared as a sacrament. Following this, we will enjoy an evening DJ led dancing with Maui’s renowned Fenyx!

Sufi Dances and Dances of International Peace (Saturday)

Donnie Regalmuto, Maui’s popular musician and workshop leader, and Lori Grace will lead us through the beautiful heart-filled Sufi Dances composed by Robert Frey years ago and other Dances of International Peace. These Dances involve singing beautiful songs, connecting heart-to-heart, and tender eye contact.

Come swim in our 60-foot solar heated saltwater pool and relax in one of our several hot tubs overlooking 30 miles of untouched Hawaiian coastline on the slopes of the dormant volcano Haleakala. Fabulous fresh air to breathe bathed in negative ions from our 150-foot waterfall and ocean air.  Book additionally for a massage or private counseling session. Eat organic food grown right on the property, say hello to our Farm Animals (chickens, ducks and sheep!).

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

It would my first vacation in the mountains. I think getting away and beginning a new routine would be good for me and a friend. Dianne
