About This Event
Amaruanka invites you to experience one of the most sacred plant medicine in Peru: the cactus Huachuma, also known as San Pedro.
A SAFE AND INTIMATE EXPERIENCE
This is a heart-opening, mind-calming, and sensory-expanding journey, where you will connect with your inner child, receive insights about your life's path, and cultivate loving compassion for yourself, and your loved ones.
Immerse yourself in a safe, intimate, and private environment, surrounded by nature, eucalyptus trees, and the sound of hummingbirds, to connect with the Spirit of Huachuma. This plant medicine is experienced during daylight, beginning early in the morning, and lasts all day, fading gently in the evening.
A complimentary experience in this retreat, is a guided meditation at Inca ruins up in the mountains, and 2 cacao ceremonies, to help you open your heart, and reconnect with your soul's purpose.
Diana Deer Hawk and Matiyu Alku Chaska have experienced extensive personal work with Ayahuasca, Huachuma, mushrooms, cacao, and intentionally facilitating small intimate groups. They have held retreats in the Sacred Valley of Peru with Shipibo healers, and now feel called to host Huachuma retreats at their healing center in Urubamba.
We offer private retreats, and retreats for small groups of 2 to 4 participants. We offer personal guidance, and choose to respect the quality of small group benefits. If you are in a sacred couple, and wish to do the retreat together, we can arrange a private retreat for the two of you. Looking forward to accompany you.

For my time being around Cusco I was looking for a ceremony that would support me in cultivating self love and finding my way to my heart. Today I arrived at the wonderful Amaruanka healing center, taking a short but beautiful path through nature from the main road that goes through Urubamba in the Sacred Valley of the Inkas. Diana, Matiyu, and their baby girl warmly welcomed me to a private cacao ceremony. I have experience with cacao and dancing, but not so much in a therapeutic session like this. I was really surprised by the depth of the wisdom that they shared with me in the ceremony, which fit exactly to what I needed in this moment. One of those things that really support me in my current process is about welcoming any feeling as a teacher - showing me where I am invited to heal myself. Taking care of myself as being my own parent, instead of looking outward for a solution or escape for the feelings that I find difficult to be with. They remembered me about the power and importance of sitting with my feelings, right when I needed it. We talked about much more and they created all the time and space to do so. They offered a lot of personal care and attention. I feel very grateful for that. Diana and Matiyu are very warm people. With Amaruanka they have created a beautiful space to facilitate healing, transformation and growth. I can highly recommend spending time with them. Muchos gracias!

Wauw, what a nourishing place Amaruanka has to offer. I love Diana and Mattieu, the facilitators. They have a broad range of healing skills and are professional in their interaction. The authenticity they offer is powerful. Diana provides amazing massages and massage courses. They brought me close to myself, from where I could heal deeply. I also love the couple/counseling work Diana and Mathieu offer together, and I am sure all their other offerings are great too. Last, but not least, the spaces they have for stay and for doing healing work are gorgeous. Truly sacred with a strong connection to nature in the sacred valley.
