Zanzibar Yoga Holiday

  • Kizimkazi Dimbani, Tanzania
  • Jul 3 - 8, 2019 (6 days)

About This Event

Welcome to our yoga holiday in Zanzibar! A place where dreams come true. Swaying palm trees, fluffy white beaches, turquoise water and where everything happens slowly. This is Zanzibar!
This holiday is the perfect combination of just the right amount of activities and relaxation, according to feedback we've received on previous yoga holidays. The resort is tucked in a corner and has a private feeling with a small beach. There is an infinity swimming pool and lounges for you to completely chill out.
Each yoga class is an intelligent, creative and fun movement sequence with a strong focus on safe alignment and breath awareness incorporating fun and challenging transitions that will have you tap into your deep core, leaving your body toned, cleansed and purified from the inside out. Classes are suitable for all levels due to the playful nature of the instructor. Evening moving meditations bring the day to a relaxed end making you feel more present and aware.
Join us with a vibe full of wonder, be a little laid-back and be up for having an awesome time! That's what holidays are all about, right!
Basic familiarity with yoga is recommended but not required, so you can suck at yoga and still join us, as long as you're cool about it. It's going to be fabulous!

Venue Highlights

On a white-sand palm fringed beach, caressing the Indian Ocean, you find Karamba. A small and elegant structure, comprised of 14 sea-front cottages and an infinity swimming pool with a conductive atmosphere, surrounded by a tropical garden.

Karamba is the perfect gateway to an exotic African paradise. Set in the fisherman´s village of Kizimkazi, on the South west coast of Zanzibar. In the Menai Bay (the largest Conservation Area in Zanzibar). Far away from crowded tourist areas.
Where it´s easy and fun swimming with dolphins. Where the evenings become unforgettable overlooking the wonderful sundowner while relaxing by the bonfire or practicing Yoga & Meditation on the sand banks. Where the village women sit on the beach, weaving ropes from coconut pods. Where the oldest archive Shirazi mosque on the Archipelago is located.

Each bungalow has been individually designed to provide comfort with character, retaining a natural and ecological style, and has a double bed with canopy and mosquito net, mosquito nets on the windows, ceiling fan, bathroom with hot shower, a dressing room and a large terrace facing the sea.

Menu/Cuisine

Our sea front restaurant offers delicious, innovative, fresh and natural meals. From breads and jams to soups and sauces, everything you’ll eat at Karamba is home made.

Almost all of the vegetables used in our kitchen are grown organically either in our backyard or sourced locally from the surrounding villages. Our chef buys fish directly from the fishermen each morning.

Our cuisine is appreciated for its quality, originality, variety and the use of organic and ayurvedic products. Specialized in the combination of Mediterranean and Swahili cuisine, we also offer a vegetarian menu, a wide variety of seafood and Asian specialties.

Our breakfast consists of a variety of items: seasonal fresh fruits, fresh juices, eggs, homemade jam with spices, whole meal bread, pancakes, milk, spiced and herbal teas with herbs from our garden, and Tanzanian coffee.

Candlelit dinner is served on the beach under the dazzling beauty of the African studded sky when it´s half occupancy. The bar, facing the beach, offers an extensive variety of cocktails, selected wines, beers and spirits, fresh fruit juices, smoothies and milkshakes.

The Chill Out offers a relaxed atmosphere; accompanied by an accurate sound track, sit back overlooking the dolphins diving and the Humpback whales sometimes, watch the sun as it sinks into the Indian Ocean painting the sky orange and gold.
