Venue Highlights

Salt Spring Island is a beautiful Island off the coast of Vancouver Island. We are located by ferry and air from both Victoria and Vancouver. Year round the island has a vibrant local community featuring many artists and artisan food producers. In the summer we feature a twice weekly farmer and artisan market, known widely around the area. Set back from the main bustle of Salt Spring, our yoga center is a truly tranquil place to spend time going inward amidst forest, meadows and farmland. We have three year round asana/ practice spaces and a fourth seasonal space open during the warm months.

Accommodations

Camping available onsite

Menu/Cuisine

We serve vegetarian meals made as much as possible with fresh produce from our certified organic farm. Our menu changes often and will usually include a delicious variety of soups, curries, grains, fresh salad and mouth watering desserts made by our wonderful kitchen team. Fruit from our orchard is made into preserves and condiments to go along with our meals.

Directions

Salt Spring Centre of Yoga is located at 355 Blackburn Road on Salt Spring Island, one of the beautiful southern gulf islands between Vancouver and Victoria. The island has three ferry terminals and is easily accessed from Victoria, Vancouver or Washington state. If you need additional assistance please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Flying to the west coast?
If you’re flying to the west coast, there are flights to both the Vancouver and Victoria International Airports with options from either airport to Salt Spring Island. Fares for flights will of course vary but often travelers also take into consideration: travel options between the ferry terminal and the airport, ferry costs, ferry sailing times and trip length when planning their trip. Often the most direct option can be flying into the Victoria airport – though please check the travel information found above for more details.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Mind training for post-retreat life! Renate

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
