Creating a personalized Mindfulness & Meditation Practice
M=Meditation + Y=Yoga = a step-by-step, user friendly PRACTICE that makes experiencing the benefits of meditation & yoga achievable for everyone, through coaching YOU to be your wisest, best teacher.
MY PRACTICE is a comprehensive system drawn from 20+ years of education and experience. I’ve extracted seven techniques from studying many styles of meditation, yoga, personal development and positive psychology. These techniques have proven most effective at experiencing the many proven benefits of meditation and yoga. The MY PRACTICE sequence is simple, efficient, and achieves goals in a shorter period of time.
Whether you practice for five minutes or one hour each day, MY PRACTICE will transform the way you live. You’ll develop tools to train the mind—so that you can experience greater balance and joy in your life.
Meditation progress is measured by how genuinely happy you are, whether or not your relationships are improving as a result of improving your relationship with yourself, your ability to trust and be guided by your intuition and by the goals that you set and achieve.
Our weekend will include:
* a deep dive into each of the seven steps of the MY PRACTICE Method
*exploring Empathic Communication
*what is Radical Forgiveness and how to live it
*living with a personal/impersonal mindset
*all level morning asana (physical yoga postures) practice and yin (long held, deep stretch) practices as well as evening Restorative Yoga and Nidra (body scan/yogic “sleep) to prepare you for deep, restful sleep
*optional group hike to Kaaterskill Falls on Saturday
Friday, October 18th
1pm Arrival/ Check- in and lunch *please enjoy the afternoon exploring the Menla hiking trails & waterfalls, relax and read, schedule a spa service in the Dewa Spa (I highly recommend the Tibetan Services) or use the Spa steam, sauna and soaking amenities (at additional cost)
6 – 7pm Dinner
7:15 – 10pm Introduction to MY Practice followed by Restorative Yoga and Nidra
Saturday, October 19th
7 – 8:15am MY Practice: Meditation & Yoga
8:30 – 9:30am Breakfast
10 -12am Workshop
12 – 12:30pm Quick lunch
12:30 – 4pm Optional Kaaterskill Falls Hike
4 – 6pm Workshop
6 – 7pm Dinner
7 – 10pm Workshop followed by Restorative Yoga & Nidra
Sunday, October 20th
7 – 8am MY Practice: Meditation & Yoga
8 – 9:30am Breakfast & Check-out of Rooms
9:30am – 12pm Workshop
