About This Event

On this retreat, we gather as women to meet our wild hearts through an intimate journey into our essence, and to gain liberation through our cyclical nature.

We gather as women to travel through the cycles of the sun, the moon, our lifetimes, and our wombs.

Federica and Julie will co-create the sessions combining their many years of experience into a powerful offering of:

Yoga, Meditation & BreathworkConscious Movement & DanceMovement & Art TherapyGestalt TherapyMenstrual TherapyWomen’s TempleLife CoachingBodywork & Massage

They will draw on all of these to create rituals and ceremonies depending on the needs and desires of the group. You will also have the opportunity to work one-on-one with each of them to support your individual journey.

This means to:

Awaken to the true call of your soul

Surrender to the ancient voice of your body

Trust the cyclical nature of your feminine being

Set free the unspoken power of your life force energy

Mornings will include breakfast, an embodiment practise (meditation, yoga, conscious movement and dance), the first circle of the day, lunch and rest.

Afternoons we continue with our second circle before sharing the evening meal together.

Daily Themes:

Day 1 (Friday) - Journey into Self

Day 2 (Saturday) - Journey into Inner Girl

Day 3 (Sunday) - Journey into Creative Woman

Day 4 (Monday) - Journey into Wild Woman

Day 5 (Tuesday) - Journey into Medicine Woman

Day 6 (Wednesday) - Journey into Completion

Points to keep in mind:

We love to keep the field open to co-create the journey with the participants. In the mornings and afternoons we will be playing together, but you will also have your own free time and space. We will work inside, and outside in nature to connect with the elements. The location is rural and ideal for the journey. However, there are no shops, restaurants, or any other businesses nearby. The accommodations are comfortable but simple. Most of the bathrooms/showers are shared and may have an outside access. Acceptance to join this journey is not automatic. To ensure it is right for you at this time and place, we will ask you some questions and may schedule a short conversation with you.

If you're experiencing (pre-)menstrual pain, menopausal, fertility or sexuality issues, you're likely to find release, opening and a way forward. If you have a regular menstrual cycle or are post-menstrual, you’ll become deeply aware of the energies present in each of the seasons of your cycle (menstrual women) or the moon (post-menstrual women).

Every month our hormonal cycle awakens within us four primal feminine archetypes:

MAIDEN (inner spring | waxing moon | follicular phase)CREATIVE WOMAN (inner summer | full moon | ovulation phase)WILD WOMAN (inner autumn | waning moon | luteal phase)WISE WOMAN (inner winter | dark moon | menstrual phase)

These phases govern the subtle energies that affect a woman and her creative potential throughout life, whether she has a menstrual cycle or has passed menopause (and is most likely aligned with the lunar cycle).

During the retreat we will explore the signature energy of each phase, and create rituals to fully embody them - each of us in our own unique way. This is aligned to our nature but something we lack in our patriarchal society.

Held and supported within the power of a women’s circle, we will re-instate a connection with our fundamental nature. We will experience the following rites of passage and live each archetype to its full potential,

The rite of passage of menarche, celebrating our arrival into womanhood with our first bleed. The rite of passage of mothering our inner girl. The rite of passage of knowing our wild pleasure intimately. The rite of passage of menopause, stepping into our wise woman powers with our last bleed.

So that we learn to be sovereign in our womanhood and:

Heal the wounds of our inner girlTap into abundance and creativityBe sexual and sensual on our own termsEmbrace the beauty and freedom of old age

We learn to love ourselves and be open to love.

We learn to hold ourselves and be held by others.

Together in circle we will share our stories and learn with each other how to:

Offer safety as women to our inner girlsAccess our feminine intuitionBe in our wildness and set boundariesRest, replenish and vision

We learn we are the Maiden + Mother + Magic + Medicine Woman.

We are all of these women.

Every month we experience each of them.

Every month we die and we are reborn.

Every month we rest and we awaken.

We bloom & thrive & shake & rest.

Every month we meet our wild heart.

So we say:

I embrace rejuvenation and release exhaustion

I embrace boundaries and release overextension

I embrace self care and release ‘shoulds’

I embrace shaking it out and release keeping the lid on

I embrace being real and release wearing masks

I embrace grounding and release escapism

I embrace the dark and release suppression

I embrace the light and release ignorance

I embrace my voice and release being a good girl

I embrace being seen and release hiding

I embrace pleasure and release shame

I embrace vulnerability and release toughness

I embrace desire and release manipulation

I embrace life force and release feeling stuck

I embrace my wild heart.

I surrender.

"Yoga Body Soul movement retreat was amazing, interesting, inspiring and unique experience. I was searching for something like this, deep and capable of touching my soul. I feel that something inside of me has changed. Federica is incredible woman and teacher, full of energy, able to feel each one of participants and also all group. She has been great inspiration during all retreat and gave me instruments to go profound. This retreat is the best gift any woman can give to her self." ~Emilija From Italy "Federica's retreat is something extraordinary. Federica is someone extraordinary. I don't know how else to put it. She has a rare intuition and manages to see every single person for who she is. To watch this magic unfold, while being part of it, is unreal. This is so much more than a yoga retreat, although yoga is a big part of it, but expect to nurture your soul as well as your body. We were a large group of ladies who very quickly bonded and dared to open up to each other, and from that and with Federica guiding us, we grew so much. I am determined to keep this with me, being back in my daily life. I am in no doubt that going to Italy for this New Year's retreat, was one of the biggest presents I have ever given myself. The location is fantastic, I loved that we were alone there with no disturbances and still at close proximity to the ever so gorgeous village of Ostuni and the sea. I thought I would have loads of time for book reading and what have we, but days went quickly, with a routine you soon get the hang of and get to enjoy. The food was outstanding and the love that you're embraced with will stay with you. Highest recommendations to anyone open for going that one layer deeper while improving your yoga-bod and general health. With love!" ~Pia From Denmark

      Not just a yoga retreat!

I was searching for something new and healing to do over Christmas and found Frederica’s Women’s art of silence retreat in Ostuni through retreat guru. Through some magic of the universe I found myself in exactly the place that I needed to be with exactly the right teacher to move me towards transformation in some of the most important areas of my life. With a group of incredible women who became deep friends through this eight day experience we certainly enjoyed Frederica’s incredible talent at teaching yoga -but most transformational were the one-on-one sessions that she offered in emotional release using Gestalt therapy techniques. She is a truly gifted Gestalt therapist and I got more out of three one-on-one sessions with her than in years of traditional psychology. She was able to intuit and meet me exactly where I was in the moment and help me to dig down to the deepest roots of my emotions around issues that have been keeping me stuck for 50 years. I found myself completely uninhibited and free to release emotions that I have held onto for my whole life, not only through her sessions but through creative dance, music and art. The structure of the day allowed for plenty of connection and conversation as well as lots of walking in the beautiful surroundings and even a visit to the most gorgeous private beach. The food was beyond compare and the bedrooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. Evenings out by the fire sharing stories and burning our demons written on crumple pieces of paper, as well as her amazing massages were other highlights of the retreat. I’m definitely going to return to meet with Federica again -and she is available to help clients on their journey through Zoom sessions as well which is a remarkable service. I returned home after this retreat truly a different person with a lighter view on life and inability to let go of being right around some key issues in my life .
