About This Event

Enter the world of creating calm at the mindfulness retreat at Abhainn Ri in the Wicklow Mountains. Awaiting you are two days of chill time for the body and soul through workshops in mindfulness, mediation, and bread and butter making. This retreat hosted by the mother and daughter duo Niamh and Cliona Byrne will have you feeling mellow while enjoying some delicious food from homegrown and locally sourced ingredients.

This retreat will give you the tools to find calm in your life and learn mindfulness skills. The two day experience will be led by life coach and mindfulness expert Cliona Byrne. Cliona’s passion for creating serenity will guide you to becoming your most relaxed self. Improve your life with mindfulness for your overall wellbeing through your time with Cliona.The bread baking class will be held by Niamh Byrne, an expert in Irish bread-baking. Be introduced to Irish traditions as Niamh guides you on how to make traditional Irish soda bread and scones. After your bread baking class you will learn to make your own deliciously delicate butter. A perfect accompaniment to go with your freshly made bread. You will also sample the Byrnes’ homemade preserves, jams, and jelly from their own orchard.

Your stay will be at Abhainn Ri luxury accommodation in Co. Wicklow. Abhainn Ri is a place of tranquility with stunning views overlooking lakes and mountains. You will be able to choose whether you stay in our cottages or farmhouse. The demonstrations and meals will take place in the old Victorian farmhouse at Abhainn Ri which has been in the Byrne family for six generations. Alongside two nights of accommodation, the retreat will include two breakfasts, two lunches, and a meal made from homegrown and locally sourced ingredients. Your stay at Abhainn Ri may be extended, please get in contact with us to do so.

Please note that your first night of accommodation will begin on 08/11/19.

Directions

How to get there (flights, airport transfers, buses, trains)
From Dublin Port or Dublin Airport (DUB) (locate signs for M50 motorway).

Stay on the motorway and take the N81 junction 11 to Tallaght/Blessington.

Stay on the N81 until you reach Poulaphuca House and take the next left at the Abhainn Ri sign. Turn left at the T junction and follow this road for 2.25km.

Take a right turn where you should see another Abhainn Ri sign. Follow this road for another 2.25km. Abhainn Ri farmhouse and Abhainn Ri cottages will be on your left.

The road is narrow so take care.
