About This Event
Mai Niti is a family-run healing center based in San Francisco, a Native Shipibo Tribe Community in the Amazon Jungle region of Peru. Ayahuasca and other plant medicines have their origins in these lands, as do Maestros Leonardo and Lucila. The family have been working as curanderos (healers) for many generations, and have a profound depth of ancestral wisdom and knowledge with respect to the plants and healing. Their aim is to awaken you to your true potential by expanding your consciousness and healing your mind, body and spirit.
The curanderos and their family will be with you every step of the way to ensure that you have a truly trans-formative healing experience, and that you find what you are seeking. Living with them on their land is a truly eye opening experience in which you will not only have the opportunity to heal and grow, but to experience life in symbiosis with nature, the way the Shipibo do.
A typical 15 day retreat includes:
6 Ayahuasca Ceremonies (1 where you attend without drinking)
2 San Pedro Ceremonies
2 Cacao Ceremonies
Treatment with Healing and Teacher Plants
Nutritious vegetarian food
Private bedroom with double bed
1 to 1 meetings with Shamans whenever required
Personal treatment plan
There's also the option to take part in some of the following activities:
Rio Ucayali boat tour and dolphin watching
Take a walk through the untamed Amazon Jungle
Learn how to make Shipibo crafts
Guests who would prefer to adhere to a Nobel Silence can be provided with the space and privacy required to do so.

I went to the healing center for the 12 day retreat, finding out about it from a friend who had recommended it to me. I was searching for a Ayahuasca center that was still authentic, as it is very difficult to find one in Peru that is not based off money and tourism. I can truely say, Mai Niti was everything I could have hoped for, and more. If you are looking for a fully authentic, affordable, and personable retreat, look no further. Lucia, Leonardo, their family, and their friends, take you in like you are part of the family instantly. This place becomes your home, and you make friends that you will never forget here. Aside from the Ayahuasca ceremonies, they teach you about some of the thousands of other medicinal plants used for healing, and teach you the ways of their culture. The Shipibo tribe is one of the pioneers of the Ayahuasca healing tradition and Shamanism, and Leonardo is possibly one of the most experienced Shamans in Peru. You learn about the people and their culture, you learn about the plant knowledge passed through the generations, and most importantly you learn about yourself. If you feel the call, Mai Niti will answer and you will come out a different person!

I had the chance to live in the village for a while and I know this familly well. This new healing center is an amazing place to learn deeply about yourself. Leonardo and Lucila really care on your personal needs and can really established an individual treatment for you. I did several ayahuasca diets in my life, and for sure that last one, sharing their incredible energy, really changed my vision of life.

It was a life changing experience! I loved the fact that there was a lady shaman. Lucila had this amazing ability to read you and know what is best for you in terms of healing. I felt safe and could completely surrender myself. Lucila was trained by her father who has over 70 years of experience with ayahuasca. They both lead the ceremonies and create an amazing space for your healing. You get so much more than just ayahuasca, there is san pedro, cacao ceremony, plant baths, saunas. It's a beautiful place that I'd recommend anyone who's interested in taking on this fascinating journey.
