Yoga Nidra is an Ancient Mystical practice that has significant medical and scientific health applications. There are many physiological, bio-chemical changes that are triggered by the stress response such as increasing serotonin, decreasing cortisone, cardiac output, stabilizing blood sugar, boosting immune system, increasing alpha brain waves and improving sleep. Research shows that regular practice of mindful meditation and relaxation has beneficial effects on insomnia, panic attacks, anxiety, diabetes, depression, fatigue, headaches, etc.

Explore the authentic teachings of Yoga as a medium to face stressful practical issues in your everyday life.  Stress causes over 80% of health-related illnesses. It is a silent killer and the most prevalent epidemic in our world today.  While it can be superficially eased by exercise or massage, subtle tensions are difficult to recognize and harder to release.

Entering into the Zero Stress Zone allows you to clear your perception and creates openings where there are blockages.  It promotes understanding where there was doubt and co-creative interaction where there was confusion and conflict.  This empowers you to tap into the extraordinary self-healing powers and spiritual potentials of your own intuition and abundance.

Yoga Nidra will experientially teach you how to create a conscious crossover from the linear, logical left brain to the intuitive right brain. It initiates the self-healing, self-balancing cathartic processes of the restorative and regenerative functions of your body. This will empower you to erase unconscious self-destructive habits and compulsive behavior patterns.

You will have the ability to employ powerful techniques to harness and harmonize the restless mind.  Train yourself to enter the deepest levels of regenerative relaxation, tranquility and stillness.  Learn to release the chronic stress that hijacks your creative vital life force.  This unique approach to Yoga will empower you to handle daily challenges in your personal and professional life, through times of difficult transition and health issues.

Venue Highlights

We are located in Salt Springs, Florida, amid the tranquil beauty of the Ocala National Forest on Lake Kerr, a spring-fed lake of nearly 3,000 acres. Beneath a canopy of towering Live Oaks, the six-acre campus features lush tropical gardens, stone decks and walkway, and a peaceful sand beach. The property includes a main house, lodge, main office, guest cabin, and brand new Healing Arts Center. We run programs year-long in service of our mission to bring authentic yogic wisdom to the world. If you’re not sure about taking a program yet, we also welcome guests for R&R.


We offer dorm-style housing as well as private/shared accomodations for an additional charge.

    Enjoyed a retreat two weeks ago on the Sadhana of Prana with Chandrakant and then returned this past weekend for a short Rest & Relaxation. Was hoping for Darshan with Gurudev, but though we missed out on that, we were grateful for Nirali’s Sunday morning presentation on the foundation for I AM Yoga. She is a wonderful teacher full of grace and embodied spirit. It was a gift to sit on the dock and watch the sunset and the full moon rise. We look forward to our next visit!

    Started in my mind (while feeling what was and not being able to quite my mind) seeing what's not there, over my stay I realized what was there was so much more I was a close friend to the Kripalu Ashram I had many friends, I consider myself very sensitive, so when Guru Dev was ousted I withdrew! My whole attraction was to practice non-judgment and here the institution that introduced me to the concept was being judgemental Kripalu since and the experience was wonderful just not the same spiritually but to the general, public the commercial customer it's got all the bells and whistles extremely well managed or was the last time typical of the corporate retreats around the world with a little less spirituality Amrit Yoga is for me the exception in a world that is attracted to bling I have revisited all the various methods I've tried and from this day forward become a devote I can't say enough words won't provide the essence of the feeling which is what it's all about God Bless and keep you in this world Amrit Yoga
