About This Event

Join us for a morning of outdoor fun organized by Thrivent Financial and several other community members and organizations. All ages are invited to help support the NWDC and our efforts to develop a playground and multi-generational outdoor space to replace the beloved playground that was destroyed by severe weather in 2016. All proceeds will go directly to the playground project.

Food, games and activities, rock painting with Pueblo Rocks!, and a Birds of Prey Meet and Greet will be available from 9 AM to 12 PM.

RSVP below to reserve your $5 ticket for the the food activities and pay on the day of the event; we will be accepting cash outside and cards in the office; children 5 and under are free:

The 5k Run/Walk will take you through gravel trails along the Arkansas River starting at the Nature Center parking lot. The trail will wind along the Nature Center trails westward, with a water stop at the 2.5 km turnaround mark, which will return to the Start/Finish. The trail has little elevation gain with some small paved sections. It is mostly double track and is suitable for avid runners, novices, and walking enthusiasts to challenge themselves with a personal best, a first time goal, or just an adventure walk to help support our community.

Additional donations are encouraged to help build a new playground at our River Campus!
